Nelson is the back up plan if Camp sustains another injury. This is my absolute lock tight theory. It may resemble Swiss cheese, but that's my theory ![]()
They'll both get resigned as Tucker is the only other player up for a new deal. Everyone else is locked up and I'm sure Joe will help the situation with a brand new deal. I plan on Joe banging on Steve B's desk.. "I did it again Steve ! Bonus time !"
Gotta get this guy a ring, this year !
I just installed this and you can't use it like the pre downloaded emojis on your phone. A little disappointing.
Campanaro better get healthy. It's nothing personal but other players know he's vulnerable and they are gunning for his roster spot. This will be one of the most interesting competitions for sure.
@John Eisenberg... Good article but it could have been great. You left out one major contributor for the Ravens successful ranking, the fans. We've been there through thick and thin. Even during the hardest of recent economic times the fans ponied up. We helped build this franchise too, fact.
I like the Ravens 1st Commandment as there's nothing more demoralizing then seeing your team's D being run up and down the field. Love that D Fence chant at M&T... Can't wait !
Best part of this article, the 57 days pic. Getting closer !
Apparently the guy that tried to sell the ring read this article. How else would you explain the neg I got for my post below. lol
This guy should be inducted into the "Ring of Shame" ...
What a jerk.
its funny that the part you quoted and painted red pretty much supports what eisenberg is saying. no it doesn't.. Eisenberg states. "He wasn’t talking about the quality... he was talking about the style.." Eisenberg left out Ngata's comments regarding the players and their athleticism, which speaks to quality..
the players ngata named are all Dliners. what's he supposed to do, name all 10 others on D ? lol
Its a huge stretch to suggest he was talking about the defense as a whole since he did not mention the best defenders on that team. see previous comment
Cant see how this is disrespectfull to Ray unless you believe ray played on the Dline ..... this is a poor attempt at being witty... neither myself nor Eisenberg singled out Ray as being disrespected
Bottom line: I like most of what Eisenberg writes but I feel as though this one he got wrong. He can't be right 100% of the time and this, as far as I'm concerned was a big swing and a miss. He is batting a solid .750 though
My comments in purple
@John Eisenberg... You're dead wrong on this one and as a matter of fact you should strongly consider retracting this entire article.
"It sounded like a slap at the Ray Lewis-led, high-quality defenses Ngata mostly played on during his nine years in Baltimore,".. That's because it was
"I think his comment has been misinterpreted." No, it was quite clear in what he said and what he meant.
"He wasn’t talking about the quality of the Lions’ defense compared to Baltimore’s; he was talking about the style of defense the Lions are playing.." And here's the key evidence as to why I say you're dead wrong: This is what he also said and that you failed to quote in your article which is in fact quoted on PFT form Ngata's press conference:
“It’s exciting, man,” Ngata said, via the Detroit Free Press. “I’ve never been a part of a defense like this. You have so many athletes: J.J., Ziggy, Caraun, Darryl Tapp. You just have so many playmakers all over the front on the D-line. I’m just excited to be a part of it.”
Sure sounds like he's talking about the quality of the Lions D compared to Baltimore's to me. That's the obvious and correct interpretation. He meant what he said and to try and write an article that fluffs it up to paint Ngata in a better light is insulting. And you definitely "fluffed it up" on this one.
No offense Ryan but, most unnecessary article, ever ! ![]()
Seems like Zrebiec thinks 60 people or so will make the roster this season.
To summarize, "historically", under Harbs, the Ravens could have anywhere between 4~7 WRs, same with CBs--can never have too many. With all the young talent on the D-line, eight could be kept. Okay Garrett, thanks for passing this useless information on. Most helpful .
Wow that was harsh ! But funny too ![]()
Is it September yet ?
It's articles like this that really make me miss Ed Reed. Don't get me wrong, I think our current group will bounce back in a big way but man, Reed was a special kind of player. ... #playmaker
I don't know if you have ever taken a flight to california or not, but that is a long time to be on a plane. To take a 5-7 hour flight to come home for 3 or 4 days just to take the same type of flight again is highly taxing on the body. It makes way more sense to stay out west where the players know they can rest and not have to keep packing bags every other day. I don't know about you, but I would like the Ravens to win as many games as they can this year, I would love to see them get the no. 1 or 2 seed. If that means they have to stay out west for half the season then so be it. Go Ravens.
I agree and tried selling this same concept to my wife. I bought tickets for the SF game and explained that while I was out there it would just make sense to go straight from SF to Arizona. She was buying it though. lol
I think Tomlin taking time like that is pretty admirable and I actually gained some respect for the guy. Come October 1st @ 8:25 that all goes out the window and I'll hate him as I always have.
Lest we take all these mini-camp stories too seriously I found the following commentary on stories appearing at this time of year sobering: http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2489793-everything-is-awesome-a-readers-guide-to-every-minicamp-story-ever
Good find.. The "everything is awesome" portion of the article is everything we've read on this site for the past two weeks. lol
Do you guys see Aiken being with our team for awhile? Im considering getting his jersey but dont wanna get his jersey and have him leave after this year like my Ray rice or Torrey Smith jerseys lol
Do what I did and get a personalized jersey. Players will come and go, but you will always be you. ![]()
The pick ups of Kyle and Kendrick... freaking huge ! Can't wait !
I'm not into the conspiracy theory stuff but, come on man ! Arizona and Cleveland get Monday night games ? And they use us to draw the viewership, ridiculous.
I just don't like Welker. On top of that, he's well past his prime. 30-31, sure... 34 ? That ship has sailed, he won't be a Raven and I would bet a ton of money on it.
Good article, truly, but I hope it's the last of its type. Let's enjoy the ride this year and then talk $. We have a SB to win first and the rest will work itself out.

Man I hope he lights up the league, fingers crossed.
