  1. Sorry, John, but QB's don't have "winning records". You may have football confused w/baseball. I usually agree w/most of your opinions and you have more knowledge and writing skills in your pinkie than the "others" on here. I imagine you'd never get a teammate of Average Joe's to say it publicly, but they have to get sick and tired of hearing about "unflappable" Joe having all his winning records. A real joke. There is a reason that, outside of us Ravens fans, most other people consistently rank Average Joe as just that......average. I'm not here to bash our QB at all. I just see things as they are. I'm a huge Ravens fan.....just not a Flacco worshipper. I honestly feel that he should be ranked around #10-12 in starting NFL QB's. Maybe w/his new weapons, he can and will be a bit more consistent. I think he may, if some key players remain healthy.

Ranking him at 10-12? I would love to hear who's ahead of him.

Ranking him in the playoffs? #1. Prove me wrong.

  2. What I don't understand from all the "Analysts" is all the hate that Joe gets. I mean he has had Cam Cameron, Jim Caldwell, Gary Kubiak, and now Jim Trestman. Mind you that Jim Caldwell didn't implement his own new system, and just continued doing more of what Cam did to keep Joe fresh. Kubiak implemented the West Coast offense, and Trestman is only doing more of what Kubiak transitioned our offense to. Yet, all the hate for Joe. Not that I should really care what they say, it's just straight disrespect that a Super Bowl winning QB, who gets the important stat - W's, continues to be ranked lower than QB's who struggle to lead their team to the playoffs. Don't get me wrong...Joe struggles when facing tough defenses, but we also win against tough defenses. Not in spite of Joe, but because of Joe and our tough defense. We are successful because of our team...not one person. I would take Joe over Romo, Smith, and Stafford any day of the week, because we compete for championships. Those 3 are good for Fantasy owners. I would rather not play fantasy, and have my team in the dance every year, than vice versa.

Joe cures that by winning another ring and Superbowl MVP. We get to the playoffs, January Joe takes over. At this point I refuse to read anything titled "Quarterback Rankings".

  3. Crockett Gilmore? I guess he gets points for the name, but haven't heard a thing about him.. anyone know anything about this guy? Hearing he's a solid tight end who can block and catch, small school guy

Saw him a little on local television here in Colorado. He's big all around. Ideal size for a tight end but I didn't really see him enough due to slim pickings on offense. Small sample, but I think he'll be okay. Blocking first and then mold him into a match up nightmare.

  4. This is somewhat of a head scratcher but we should have known it'd be another Alabama guy. Just don't see the logic in it with the likes of Upshaw, Brown, Smith. and even Simon in the wings. The R's still don't have the big play maker on O that is so desperately needed. Cooks could very well have been that difference maker on O that the teams needs to compliment Smith on the other side. With S. Smith and Daniels getting up their in age they're just one or two injuries from being back to square one on O. And with no O the D will, once again, have to be on the field a disproportionate amount of time and, also once again, rely primarily on Tucker's leg. Sorry, but a downer 1st. round pick to this poster.

CJ can immediately step into either Mike or Will with Daryl Smith. Arthur Brown isn't ready and we saw that Josh Bynes and McClellan can fill in in a pinch, not as starters. If Rolando McClain hadn't retired, I could see us taking Clinton-Dix or Pryor easily. That didn't happen, but we got a nice ILB in exchange. As far as playmakers on offense, I can see us taking advantage of Marqise Lee slipping out of the 1st or waiting on Jordan Matthews or Cody Lattimer to groom while Smith(s) and Marlon Brown are our core receivers. I agree with you on the need for a Free Safety but I'm willing to wait and see who we pick in the second and third rounds.
