I actually think the cast is pretty decent in comparison to past seasons. I thought Byron Saxton and Derrick Bateman looked pretty interesting and might have some potential.
You know..... I was just thinking since Cena is "fired" and if they want good ratings for NXT why not put Cena as a Pro and say that he had agreed to be a Pro before getting fired and that he will still be a Pro, that way Cena still gets Online time!
I know you are kidding but please don't do that.
Edit: More NXT News. Kaitlyn is our winner of NXT 3 and the next Breakout Diva! She beat Naomi to win the contest. Now after seeing her involved on SD so much with Dolph was it just too obvious she was going to win?
Yes, the one person on the show besides Alicia Fox who cannot wrestle, won the entire contest. That was a horrible season.
I kept falling asleep in and out during the show.
Haha me too. I actually did fall asleep during the Miz/Lawler TLC match. They were just so...slow...and cautious...and you knew Lawler wasn't going to win. A wrestling match has never literally put me to sleep like that before. I've stayed awake through Santino promos for crying out loud.
At first when Cena attacked McGuillicutty I was like "Okay this is stupid." Then he came in and attacked Heath Slater by putting him through the table and I was like "Okay that wasn't bad." Then he got cornered by Nexus and I thought "Oh good Barret sprung a trap and now this will be over Oh God here comes the 'WWE Locker Room' again". I'll admit though, seeing Gabriel get AA'd onto a car was kind of cool.
I just wish it didn't mean more CENA. Kind of wondering what Otunga's plan is though...maybe this angle won't go the way we're all expecting it too. That's what I'm hoping anyway. Probably in vain.
The double count out was just bad. They give Ezekiel this great push and put him in the KOTR tournament only to have him get counted out...I mean I guess they didn't want him to *lose* the match as they probably want to keep pushing him without giving him the KOTR, but still, tie finishes are lame. Just look at TNA.
What was even worse was how they handled the double count-out. Okay, so, so far we have Del Rio, Morrison, and Sheamus all having fought one match, winning, and advancing. But then inexplicably Sheamus gets a BYE while Del Rio and Morrison have to have their match, and then the winner takes on a fresh Sheamus. This was a HORRIBLE idea. What I immediately thought was "Huh? Why aren't they just having a triple threat?". I didn't realize the KOTR brackets were so sacred that you had to follow them to the letter.
Sheamus/Morrison was a good match but I was disappointed Morrison lost. He just beat Sheamus at Survivor Series, he had the disadvantage, seemed like a great time for a Morrison push with him prevailing against overwhelming odds. Instead we got a Sheamus push, a guy who was JUST WWE champion, for a second time. What's the thought process here?
Speaking of TNA, Jerry the King Lawler? Seriously? At first I thought "Whoah the King has never had a world title, or even a world title shot? Well maybe he does deserve one then..." but then they go back on his career and show HE HAS BEEN WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION. He HAS held world titles. He's held a bunch of titles. There was NO justification for this match beyond it being his birthday. Are we going to see Jimmy Snuka get a title match on his birthday? How about Randy Savage? Or is it only for guys who haven't slept with Stephanie McMahon... EDIT: Oh I see he never held a world title in the WWF. Still, the man has had an accomplished career. He didn't need to get involved in this.
Was disappointed overall. I wish the Miz title reign was being taken more seriously. I wish Cena really was going away for a while. I wish WWE didn't decide to emulate TNA with tie-finishers and having old men wrestle. I wish there was some kind of TLC build-up going on. There are no feuds and I foresee the TLC feuds being rushed, anti-climactic, and the matches themselves unenjoyable as I just don't think PG TLC matches work. In fact, it kind of defeats the entire purpose.
Okay someone else take the soap box now.
EDIT: Oh my God I forgot to mention, CM Punk was awesome and hilarious tonight. He made the bad parts watchable.
so instead of Orton being in the Triple Threat Match which would make logical sense considering Miz cashed in on Orton, they give him a night off.
Well I don't think House shows are really considered a part of the "story" that we see on TV. For instance Triple H coming back to take on Nexus and Del Rio, and John Cena attacking Nexus during a House show when he was still supposed to do everything Barret says or be fired.
This Juan Cena thing is laughably bad. I hope it doesn't find it's way onto Raw...
*shrug* I think he makes a pretty good face. He's got the looks and the high-flying moves. They just need to give him some mic time. Before this week it was all hogged by Cena and Nexus and for some bizarre reason Santino. I'd rather see a Face Morrison Vs Heel Miz.
With the Miz as champ I have a feeling this is just going to be another booster seat for yet another John Morrison push *snore*
I'm confused. How would a John Morrison push be boring? Or am I misunderstanding? Anything's better than the John Cena show.
Yeah I'm not a fan of all the MITB matches. I'd definitely prefer a tournament-based PPV even if the victory isn't that meaningful.
Oh I didn't even comment on last night's Smackdown yet...
That opening Kane promo was a little brutal...Kane has feelings? He's not a monster? He wants to spend the holidays with the Father of Destruction? Well there go the last 13 years or so of his entire character.
Now I hope he drops the title and just goes away soon or something. He's kind of ruined for me right now.
I'm not really sure where this Paul Bearer feud is going. Edge has a second title shot now...is he going to use Paul Bearer to force Kane to lay down and give him the title? Boy I sure hope that happens on a Smackdown night and not at a PPV. Can you imagine the rage?
As for King of the Ring, as much as I like Mysterio and Big Show I am glad neither qualified. You just know one of them would walk away with it, and they've had enough glory with the Bragging Rights and Survivor Series wins. I'm thinking Del Rio might win it all, though I am secretly rooting for either Ezekiel Jackson (I'd love to see this guy as a main event superstar, he has muscles where I don't even have places) or John Morrison, as his push has been insanely slow, and Miz being champion seems like a great time for him to jump into the picture.
The Diva situation seems a little weird right now. We have all the face Divas in Natalya, Kelly Kelly, Beth Pheonix, the Bellas, Gail, Melina...meanwhile the only heel Divas that aren't Alicia Fox's terrible self is Laycool. I don't really care about the Diva (TNA) Championship but I just am not sure how they're going to handle this. Beth Pheonix seems most deserving of a title shot, but with her being buddy-buddy with Natalya I don't know what's gonna happen there.
Spent entirely too much time talking about Divas without objectifying them.
In SVR11 news, I had an awesome Universe occurrence when Edge was facing Big Show and Mysterio in a triple threat match for the #1 WHC contender spot. Christian came in and Killswitched both Big Show AND Mysterio and then Edge pinned Big Show for an easy win. He'll be facing incumbent champion Undertaker at the WWE Bash.
This was a CPU match. Having a lot of fun with this game. ![]()
So how long until the Soaring Eagle is TNA champion?
Oh man way to spoil, now I know the era of the Soaring Eagle is over.
The landscape of the WWE has changed forever.
Remember the time the WWE only had three tag teams and they decided it was time to split up the Hart Dynasty? Yeah, that was last week.
I don't care if Cena "bought" a ticket for Raw next week as long as he sits in the crowd and just watches and doesn't take away the spot light from The Miz/Orton Feud.
Yes that's what I'm hoping happens at TLC. Morrison wins KOTR next week, and I guess winning KOTR entitles Morrison to a WWE Championship match, and so we would get Morrison vs Miz in a Ladder Match for the WWE Title at TLC. Now about Orton, well I say since KOTR is next week and for the Morrison/Miz WWE Title Match to take place Orton uses his re-match clause next week, Miz sneaks by Orton and retains the Title and at the end of that match, Morrison comes down to the ring and starts brawling with Miz, Morrison gets Miz down and sets up Miz for a Starship Pain and Riley gets The Miz out of the ring before Morrison connects. Raw would go off air with Morrison in the ring staring at the Miz and the Miz holding up the title(like this is mine, etc).
Now of course that would leave Barrett/Orton without nothing at TLC, so instead the GM sets up Orton vs Barrett at TLC in a number # 1 Contenders Match to face The Miz/Morrison at Royal Rumble.
I think that would be perfect for WWE heading into the Royal Rumble.... but I'm not a creative writer so this would be useless telling you guys.
A lot of good ideas but the one I disagree with is Barret Vs Orton for the #1 contender spot at TLC. That means the next 4 Raws following TLC will be basically pointless as far as determining who's going to be facing who for the WWE title. That was my problem with Bragging Rights and Survivor Series, we knew what the main event was going to be on the very first Raw of the month. Smackdown did the same thing with Hell in a Cell and Bragging Rights.
I liked the Night of Champions build-up where there was still a bit of a guessing game as to who was going to be in the 6-pack challenge up until the week before. Also, a lot of IWC predictions appeared to be stumped as to who would actually win it. A lot of people thought "Well Orton is winning all these matches surely he's not going to win the title also...", yeah, he did.
That one did not fool me, but the match was still exciting.
We saw R-Truth a lot this last month, maybe we could have like a Tornado Tag TLC match with Orton/R-Truth Vs. Barret and a member of Nexus of his choosing, and how Barret goes about deciding causes friction in the group or something. IDK just a random idea, and because I love team matches. ![]()
If John Cena or JUAN CENA or whatever shows up on Raw I'm gonna be mad.
Raw should be about Miz and Orton for at least a little while...I was hoping John Morrison could fill up the extra face time as well.
John Morrison Vs Miz for the WWE title would be just too awesome. It works, Morrison just beat Sheamus showing he can beat former WWE Champions, Morrison's a face, Miz is a heel, they used to tag team, then they split up, then they feuded, now they're both capable of main event status. Do it!
Lol Kevin Nash thinks he's relevant.
Normally, that'd be a hokey moment from him, but his delivery was just right. Too bad his acting wasn't like that in any of his movies...
I don't know, I thought that entire promo was hokey, especially considering we all know he will be back. ![]()
I am just going to enjoy these Cena-less Raws while they last. Not that I don't like Cena, but his exposure over the last 2 months or so has been suffocating...I swear every Raw was about Cena and Nexus. ![]()
Cena loves his mommy.
Wow that was a great Raw. With all the Cena crap it seemed doomed to be a bad Raw but they pulled it out in the end.
Next week should be VERY interesting. It'd be kind of weird to have a Nexus/Miz feud seeing as how they're all heels. Wonder where things are going to go now that we're in the Era of Awesome.
Why did you waste money on that PPV? what a boring build up.
Did somebody say they paid for it?
I actually liked the PPV.
Opening match wasn't anything great, but I LOVED the Kaval match. It was fast-paced, exciting, a few moments there had me believing Kaval was going to win. Kaval is incredibly talented and I love seeing him in the ring. The Morrison/Sheamus match was pretty good also, I am hoping it leads to a Morrison push.
The Survivor Series match was pretty decent considering it had such little build-up. I was disappointed with the ending though...it was the same ending we saw on Smackdown just a couple days ago. Still, a good match.
Kane/Edge was an all right match with a whacky finish, I was kind of hoping for more of a resolution than that but eh whatever, at least Kane fought someone that wasn't THE UNDERTAKER.
Orton/Barret...liked the match, and am glad that Orton retained. I also enjoyed watching Nexus get beat back as they rescued their leader. The man hug was a little bizarre, the 15-minute Cena running around the stadium thing was just over-done and lame though.
Personally I am just glad that the Cena angle is over for at least a little while (I hope?). I felt like Raw was starting to forget it had other wrestlers.
So yeah, good PPV, looking forward to Raw. I know a lot of people are disappointed there was no heel turn and that this angle didn't have an exciting climax, but eh what did you expect.
Oh man two events in California this year...Summerslam is going to be so close to me too.
CM Punk being out for the year makes me so very sad.
The WWE Tag Team Division is truly pitiful, especially with how they're handling The Hart Dynasty. That leaves, what, the Usos as the only "real" tag team that doesn't come off as a mish-mash of random people (Santino/Kozlov, McIntyre/Rhodes)
The one mishmash of people that I actually liked (Bourne/Henry) was short-lived too, with Bourne being injured.
Yeah I don't know what's going to happen with the tag division with the Hart Dynasty splitting up...I just can't imagine what they're thinking.
That Legends Raw was simply awesome. I originally had medium expectations and those were surpassed. I am really glad they did not have the old guys wrestle too much, then I would have felt like I was watching TNA. Their involvement was perfect, kudos to the WWE for pulling off a perfect balance.
I'm still not impressed with the Survivor Series build-up...the Morrison/Sheamus feud seems like it is just too underdeveloped. They had a great match prior to Night of Champions, why haven't they had ANY interaction between then and when Morrison first started "saving" Santino. Btw the fact that Santino was the center of this feud, showcasing his weakness, is quite sad and that is only enhanced by the fact that he is going to be contending for the Tag Titles at Survivor Series...really shows how little the WWE cares about it's Tag division.
Also, 5v5 match...they announced it as a complete aside, with absolutely no build-up prior. What happened to last year when we had 3 10-man matches, and all of them had at least SOME build-up prior to the PPV? Really sad.
Oh well, I'm still expecting Survivor Series to be a decent PPV and the Edge/Kane and Barret/Orton feuds are more than enough to get me to watch (after all it's not like I have to pay for this crap myself).

MVP has been released by the WWE per his request.
I hope he doesn't go to TNA just because he wants to win matches and be in the main event. I mean, yeah you get that with TNA but...who's watching?
