The Rock's promo actually was PG. The WWF was PG when Stone Cold first got started and he was telling everybody he was gonna whip their *** every chance he had.
New tag champs! Justin Gabriel and Heath Slater! Comedy variety hour is OVER!
Trish Stratus coming out. She will be a trainer on Tough Enough.
Wow, horrible promo by Trish.
Read my edit if you did not or if you didn't hear what happened Franny.
Big Show eliminated Barret, then Kane eliminated Big Show and then McIntyre, then Edge eliminated Kane, and then Mysterio.
Barret got buried. McIntyre looked strong, Kane looked unstoppable. Decent match, Cole way oversold it though. He pretty much said "This match is so great that if you bought a ticket you don't need to see more!" What an idiotic thing to say.
After the match Del Rio attacked Edge but CHRISTIAN made his return and saved the day! He beat the crap out of Del Rio and then landed the Killswitch. I am marking out.
I'm watching it. Big Show is the replacement. Edge and Mysterio kicking things off.
Now I'm not totally sold on the Miz yet, his push was too fast, but he's good on the mic and has developed from a bad to very good worker in a short period, Kofi and Morrison haven't shown any improvements.
Couldn't disagree more. Morrison has put on great matches and is showing aggressiveness and passion as of late. On last week's Raw he really went after CM Punk and you could see rage in his eyes. I was blown away by what I saw from Morrison, and I think it's leading to more outbursts of personality.
Hell, even David Hart Smith on Superstars, arguably the most PLAIN guy in the business is trying to express himself, doing dances during wrestling moves and cartwheeling to his tag partner. These guys are making the most out of the small windows of opportunities they are given. They just need to be given more opportunities.
It's impossible to say when neither Morrison nor Kofi get any mic time whatsoever to prove themselves. Even Ziggler was carried by Vickie Guerrero even though I know Ziggler is charismatic and witty as hell and could easily be a top heel if given the opportunity to stand alone.
The WWE is afraid to take chances and it's going to backfire when these veterans start retiring and nobody's been pushed to take their place.
While I still stand by my view that John Morrison should've been booked to win the Rumble, I'm not too upset over the turn of events now.
Yeah I wanted JoMo to win the Royal Rumble also. I'm still holding out hope he wins MITB though and takes the title off Miz instead of Cena doing it at WM27. That would cement him as a fan favorite...probably forever.
Sheamus doesn't have a program right now so I'd like to see HHH and Sheamus at Wrestlemania just to give the King something to do and because it'd make sense with a HHH return. HHH can win this but man, Sheamus hasn't won a match since KOTR in November. He needs a winning feud badly.
I don't think Sting is the second guy or that there is supposed to be a second guy in the 2-21-11 video. I think it's just Undertaker being his supernatural self and teleporting all over the place like he does.
What I'd like to see is Undertaker Vs Wade Barrett at WM. To ensure no interference occurs Heath/Gabriel get a tag match and Big Show/Ezekiel get a match with Ezekiel preferably going over Big Show and maybe seeing Christian/Ezekiel rekindled but this time on Smackdown. Probably wouldn't happen, not everyone likes Big Zeke as much as I do. Not to mention Vince apparently just never bought into Christan.
So who here thinks Del Rio will win the world title at Wrestlemania?
I really liked the Ray Lewis/Triple H comparison. Triple H is a ring general, Ray Lewis is a football field general. The other ones didn't ring with me, but whatever it's a joke article anyway. (Hines Ward = The Rock? Um no.)
So how about some Elimination Chamber predictions for tomorrow? This is the card:
John Cena Vs Randy Orton Vs R-Truth Vs John Morrison Vs CM Punk Vs Sheamus - Raw Elimination Chamber for the #1 Contender
Edge Vs Rey Mysterio Vs Drew McIntyre Vs Kane Vs Wade Barret Vs ??? - Smackdown Elimination Chamber for the World Heavyweight Championship
The Miz Vs Jerry Lawler - WWE Championship.
Kofi Kingston Vs Alberto Del Rio
Santino Marella and Vladmir Koslov Vs Heath Slater and Justin Gabriel - WWE Tag Team Championship
I'm thinking John Cena wins the Raw EC, Edge wins the Smackdown EC, Miz retains with help (because having your champion be unable to beat a 60 year old man clean is really cool), Del Rio beats Kofi, and The Corre wins the tag belts.
What I'd LIKE to have happen is Morrison wins the Raw EC to set up Miz/Morrison, Christian returns and wins the Smackdown EC to set up Christian/Edge/Del Rio at WM27, and for Miz to beat Lawler CLEAN.
Well I wasn't thrilled with that Smackdown. I thought the 12-man tag match was going to be elimination and was pretty disappointed when it ended with one pinfall.
I guess Edge is an 11-time World Champion now, that's kind of confusing because that means Ziggler actually WAS World Champion for a week or so. Well, good for him I suppose. Him being fired at the end is interesting, he's going to need to be replaced in the WHC Elimination Chamber on Sunday (maybe a Christian return? or Undertaker showing up a day early?). I wonder when we'll be seeing Ziggler again.
I'm pretty tired of Edge and Undertaker myself. Looking forward to the days where John Morrison and Dolph Ziggler are the main event.
I've watched The Rock's promo a dozen times. Gives me goose bumps every single time.
I don't know when he'll show up again (if before Wrestlemania) but I know it won't be soon enough. WWE definitely has me under their thumb as for feeling I need to tune in for every single show JUST IN CASE The Rock shows up. That promo made it clear just how different today's product is, hopefully the men behind the scenes and the men in the locker room took notice.
Stop being smarmy and passive aggressive and perhaps it won't entice "hostility" or "rudeness". It's not my fault you've pressed my buttons enough with your attitude.
I have carried no attitude nor have I attempted to push any buttons. This will be my final post in response to you as you have clearly demonstrated a complete lack of ability to participate in a discussion without being downright rude and hostile.
However, about things that matter, since when does a black trench coat automatically equal a dead man character? I can go out and buy a black trench coat, does that mean I'm the new "Dead Man"? Edge still wears his black trench coat, does that mean he's supernatural? Stop thinking of things in black and white.
Clearly the promo is hinting at a supernatural figure, with the Johnny Cash song playing and the ominous atmosphere.
Please, try and be more mature in the future. For now I'll have to add you to my ignore list.
Again, either you're not reading everything I say, or you're misunderstanding what I said. I said he wasn't anymore successful wrestling outside of the WWE (Del Rio: 1 Time World Champion. Black: 2 Time World Champion, 3 Time Tag Champion. That's both men's pre-WWE career), and the only thing he had over Black was an MMA career in addition to his wrestling career.
You're comparing their successes based on titles held? That seems incomparable. I would look at ADR's 533 day title reign as far more impressive and telling of his popularity and success in Mexico.
Who knows what Black's gimmick would be in the WWE. It's not like once you come up with your first gimmick when you start wrestling, you're stuck to it for the rest of your career.
I guess they could start another Dead Man character, but right now he's really the only super natural character in the WWE aside from perhaps Kane, and they both sure stand out from the rest of the roster. It's like when Tyler Black does debut it'll be similar to a Mason Ryan or a Daniel Bryan 2.0 debut.
Get over yourself, people don't just like someone just because "he's wrestled in some indy promotions".
First of all there is no need to be rude or hostile. Secondly that IS his background and it IS less impressive than Del Rio's. The fact is that when ADR debuted in the WWE everyone in Mexico was watching, and they continue to draw large mexican TV ratings. When Tyler Black debuts the IWC will be watching...it's just not comparable.
Age is relative, Sting at 51 is in much better physical condition to Taker who is 6 years younger. It's like the difference between Jericho and Mysterio, Jericho could jump in the ring right now and chain wrestle for an hour without breaking a sweat, Mysterio probably needs cortisone injections in his knees just to get out of bed.
What is this based on? I never saw him put on good matches in TNA. Also it's understandable for Undertaker to be more battered than Sting because for the last 10 years he's actually worked for a major wrestling federation. Sting has not.
Okay, great, so once a year Undertaker puts on a good match. I'm sorry, you're right, he's very exciting... once a year. Too bad for the other 364 days, he's still the tired, out of shape, old man trying to pull off the gimmick of a Dead Man.
I don't think Undertaker is exciting at all. I just know that Sting wouldn't be any better, and that those are the only two guys the promo could be. Unless Tyler Black has a black trench coat gimmick going for him. It's possible, I don't watch ROH because it isn't on TV. Still, it seems unlikely they'd hype a young guy who's never been in the WWE with such a promo.
As for Alberto Del Rio, all he had was a MMA background? That is false. He wrestled for a major mexican professional wrestling federation in which he held their world heavyweight title for 533 days. Del Rio is a huge star in Mexico and was so long before he came to the WWE. There is a significant difference between being a country's top wrestling star (which Del Rio was) and being a guy that a lot of the people on the internet really like because he's wrestled in some indy promotions.
So what if Sting is 51? It'd be someone new to the WWE, that'd be the draw factor, the proper usage of the hype. However, the age is not the problem, it's the fact that it's the same old, same old. There's absolutely no need to hype yet another Undertaker return, the dude's been returning nearly every year because he cannot stay healthy. That's the root the of the issue, that's where the disappointment lies. The Undertaker has been around for 20 plus years, he's no longer as exciting as he once was. Therefore, it's a wasted opportunity.
It could have been anyone else, anyone else new to the WWE, and I would of been happy. Sting, Tyler Black (or Seth Rollins, whatever), or someone completely unforeseen, I wouldn't have cared.
Less than a year ago Undertaker had an incredible match against Shawn Michaels at Wrestlemania. What is the last match Sting has had that anyone has talked about? What was it...Starrcade 98? Something like that? All of your criticisms of Undertaker are doubly so of Sting, except Sting refused to be in the WWE 10 years ago. His loss. Well, our loss really. Doesn't make him someone I want to see wrestle now though. 10 years ago definitely. Now...no thanks. Saw him on TNA. It was terrible.
Neither Tyler Black nor Seth Rollins deserve a special commercial promoting their WWE debut.
This commercial was going to be 1 of 2 things. Sting debuting in the WWE, or Undertaker returning for Wrestlemania, which we all knew he was going to do. It turned out to be the latter. The WWE gave no reason to suspect the former, it was just internet hype.
Yay for hyping up a 45 year old
Sting is 51... Who else did you think it may be that you are so disappointed?
New 2.21.11 Promo.... this time it zooms on the house, shows the door, the door opens and the camera goes to an view from inside, the guy appears and as he walks in he fades out and it ends with 2.21.11 appearing on the wood of the house with some song playing.
Johnny Cash...and the lyrics were saying "ain't no grave can keep my body down".
It's going to be the Undertaker.
All 3 DLC packs were announced before the game was even released. It is unlikely that they have plans for more, or they would have been announced sometime between the game's launch in October, and now, February, when the 3rd DLC pack is going to be released. I'm not saying it won't happen, but I am not expecting it personally.
I don't think we're going to see any more DLC at all.
I'm kind of interested in the Nitro Arena because I have a lot of WCW CAWs...I'd have preferred the classic WWF Raw arena though, especially with all the legends in the game.
Meh, he's probably just keeping kayfabe.

Sigh, Alex Riley is helping big time. This is ridiculous.
