  1. WWE doesn't have any legitimate main event heels right now. They've all been buried or made a joke of by the top faces too much. Smackdown is a disaster with Sheamus (who was getting beat by midcarders not too long ago) and Mark Henry (whos always been a midcarder himself). RAW has Miz who got buried at OTL, Del Rio who kind of fizzled out opening WM and then losing at Extreme Rules and then being drafted. CM Punk hasn't regained any credibility since he got destroyed at the Rumble and then beat by Orton at WM and ER...R-Truth went over Mysterio but I don't buy into him as a threat to Cena. I can't see Cena VS CM Punk Part 2 ending in anything but Cena making a mockery of Nexus once again.

Del Rio needs to go over in his feud with Big Show and Kane, and then use that momentum to feud with Cena and hopefully win the WWE Championship, maybe The Rock costs him the match. I'm not a big Del Rio fan, but CM Punk and Miz are have already been fed to the Cena monster.

Over on Smackdown I can see Christian/Orton going for a couple more months until maybe Great Khali steps back into the main event as a monster heel.

  2. You seem shocked? He put over Cody Rhodes and now Rhodes is on his way to the top on SD and so now Truth is getting the same push.

I hope not. I like heel R-Truth but not enough to have him in the main event.

Christian/Orton was a 4 1/2 star match. Cena/Miz was Minus Five Stars. Terrrrrible.

  3. They need to get it on free TV, plain and simple. I'm hoping that is a part of increasing their visibility greatly. I'm sure it is. I'd love to have another wrestling show to watch during the week. Things get boring in between Monday and Friday, and if its a bad Raw or a bad Smackdown its even worse.

  4. Liked Smackdown tonight. Pretty lackluster main event but what do you expect when you match Randy Orton with Mark Henry. Besides, the main event was more about Orton Vs Christian than it was Henry. At the start of the show when Orton delayed helping Christian I was certain it'd be Orton turning heel, but after Christian took even longer to help Orton, and Orton thanked him after the save, I just don't know.

Rhodes is apparently taking on a managerial role and helping to elevate Ted Dibiase, which I think is great. Rhodes is good on the mic, Dibiase is good in the ring, they have chemistry together, it works.

Whatever happens at OTL, I can see Orton and Christian feuding up until the following PPV as well. By then Khali's storyline should have played out and he should be a full on monster heel again, and feud with the face that is holding the world title. I still think Smackdown's main event needs some more help though. Sheamus can be main event caliber, but Orton Vs Sheamus has been done to death. Jericho coming back would be huge for Smackdown. Other than him I can't really see anything else coming up...

  5. What is he suppose to do besides pop up everywhere Khali goes? Is he trying to turn Khali back into the Monster he was and a Heel again?

Yes, and we should applaud his kayfabe efforts, as Great Khali in a tutu is just awful, as are his kiss-cam segments. The man beat Undertaker clean for gods sake.

  6. In South America, WWE shows are advertising Orton & Justin Gabriel Vs Christian & Sheamus as their main events. Gabriel is South American so him being a face there is no surprise, but what is surprising is that Christian would be teaming with a heel. Perhaps this is a signal that a Christian heel turn will be coming soon.

I'd be okay with that, but I'd much prefer an Orton heel turn. His character bores me and is restricted as a face. Meanwhile, Christian is just too likeable right now to be a believable heel for me, with everything that went down between him and Edge, and how he was a gracious loser toward Randy Orton.

  7. WOO WOO WOO WWE does Know It!

Thanks to Zack Ryder's " Z True Long Island Story" the WWE is going to start increasing Zack Ryder's presence on TV!

John Cena, yes Super Cena has been going to Management about giving Ryder more time on TV.

If John Cena gets Zack Ryder more TV time I might hate John Cena a little less.

WOO WOO WOO You Know It.... Bro!

Sounds like dirt sheet reporting to me. It is obvious, given what we have been seeing on TV, but it's "news".

  8. So while AJ Lee and Maxine are getting called up what has NXT 3 Winner Kaitlyn done since she has won? Nothing!

Kaitlyn winning was a complete joke. She hadn't wrestled a match before NXT3 and was a last minute replacement. Naomi was the best in-ring worker on the show by far, and I thought AJ was more entertaining than Kaitlyn. I guess cup size wins out though.

Maxine could play a good heel personality, but I don't really see where AJ would fit into things. Unless she is revealed to be behind Kharma - that would be hilarious. The tiny geek gamer girl sicking a big beast on the typical barbie doll divas.

  9. That main event match was terrible. Cena got beat up on for 10 minutes without doing ANYTHING to Swagger, regenerated all of a sudden and squashed him.

    That wasn't entertaining.

Nexus going over Show/Kane was a surprise, they might not be a lost cause after all.

Kofi/CM Punk was a good match.

Cole/Lawler was boring. Swagger face turn appeared to be implied, but since he went against Cena afterward I'm thinking Swagger might just separate from Cole but stay a misused heel. In other news I hear Drew McIntyre lost on Superstars for a second time in a row this week.

  10. Also, with the exception of pushing Super Orton and Super Cena above others, at least WWE actually tries to develop new stars. I can't name a single homegrown TNA star aside from A.J. Styles that has seen continued main event success after Hogan and Bischoff came in. Most of TNA's main event tier is a who's-who's of the wrestling industry.

You can't even mention AJ because he hasn't been main eventing. He spent several months last year holding onto the worthless TV title.

  11. Here's one:

    Guy: You wanna go out?

    Girl: Sure.

Guy: I'll pick you up at 7

    Girl: Ok

Guy: WOO WOO WOO... You know It!

That's cheating, you can't wait until after she agrees to use the catchphrase, then you didn't pick up a girl using wrestling catchphrases. Kind of the whole point.

  12. If you guys haven't already seen this video, it's been making its way around the IWC and it's hilarious! I'm mad I didn't think of this concept first!

I did see that. It reminds me of how when I first met my girlfriend she didn't know anything about wrestling and thought I was a huge geek for liking it, but now she knows more about it than some self-righteous IWC posters I know do, and uses wrestling catch phrases frequently. Her favorites are 1996/1997 Goldust and of course Stone Cold Steve Austin...and modern day she likes Kharma a lot.

Those videos were actually filmed in my area, I've been to the places in those videos. Never seen anything quite like this happen though.

  13. I hated how they made Christian put on that **** eating grin and do all the damage control for Orton.

I liked it, it's good story-telling and is consistent with Christian's character. Christian's a humble guy who is used to playing second fiddle. That's a part of the reason most people want to see him succeed. Randy Orton is cocky and self-serving, and Christian is taking the high road. That's why I am more inclined to believe Orton will turn heel.

This is a feud I am actually interested in, unlike the world title feuds that came before it: Kane/Taker, Edge/Kane, and Edge/Del Rio.

Another angle on Smackdown I'm interested in is Great Khali/Jinder Mahal. I know they're turning him heel, likely having him turn on his manager for getting him involved in lame crap like tooth fairy costumes and kiss cams, and teaming with Jinder Mahal. I really hope this brings back Monster Heel Great Khali, who beat the Undertaker clean. There's also just something about Jinder Mahal I like. He looks legitimate and has star quality to him.

  14. Pretty good Smackdown tonight. Daniel Bryan Vs Sin Cara was a good match, the main event was solid. I was afraid they were going for a boring and predictable RKO out of nowhere finish but they actually ended the match quite creatively, with Christian making a sneaky tag. Looks like they're going for a two faces who respect each other angle for OTL. I could see something changing after the match at OTL, but a heel turn between now and then would just be random. Both Christian and Orton were as face as ever tonight, and there needs to be some hinting at a heel turn beforehand for it to be believable, meanwhile we only have one Smackdown between now and OTL.

So yeah, I can see Orton retaining at OTL and either Orton or Christian turning heel (preferably Orton, his character bores me), and maybe Christian wins back the title at the next PPV. Or never. That's possible too all things considered...

  15. Sooo..... now Jericho is saying he may never return to wrestling again, as he "has no plans of it" right now. Wow, Chris, and after saying you'd be preparing for it after your DWTS stint was over. Not that I particularly believe him when he says he isn't coming back, as we all know Jericho and have learned to not always take what he says seriously.

He's setting us up, no way Jericho wants to go out being punted in the skull by Randy Orton.

  16. I don't know what's worse, TNA Planning a Hulk Hogan vs Sting Match for this year's Bound For Glory or this Jerry Lawler vs Michael Cole Feud.

Definitely Michael Cole. He's not a wrestler and has never been a wrestler. Plus I'm pretty sure Lawler is older than both Sting and Hogan. Though clearly he is in better shape than Hogan is, who could possibly paralyze himself or worse if he were to wrestle a match.

On top of all that, Hogan is great on the mic, while Cole just repeats the same garbage and makes low-blow dead mom jokes that appeal to nobody.

  17. R-Truth needs to go away... can't stand that guy.

R-Truth finally changed his character. He went from stale rapper guy who does the same "Whats up?" thing to a new dark, angry black guy character who sees a conspiracy against him due to his race (which a lot of people think is true of the WWE). I am a fan of his new direction. MUCH preferable.

His Little Jimmy promo was hilarious, his recent promos have been really good. I am liking heel R-Truth. Wonder if he'll use his real name, Ron Killings.

  18. Aside from the terrible Cole-Lawler segment I thought it was a pretty good Raw.

Their match at Over The Limit needs to be the end of this already. They're trying to get me to hate Cole, but really, Cole was announcing his retirement, it was Lawler that challenged him to another match. At a PPV. That's right, I blame Lawler for all of it. The dead mother comments too - Lawler allows it. No respect for his own recently deceased mother, it's disgusting.

I don't understand why Alex Riley is wrestling matches on Raw. I don't understand why Kane is wrestling singles matches on Raw when its his partner The Big Show that got drafted to Raw, not Kane.

Bright side, looks like it'll be Mysterio/Truth feuding instead of Mysterio/Del Rio again.

  19. I love Tough Enough. Luke and Jeremiah are the two guys I feel have the work ethic and the passion for the business to actually be WWE Superstars. Jeremiah would need a different look, but I think Luke was tailor-made to be a superstar.

Stone Cold is of course the main thing drawing me to the show and my main source of entertainment.

My only real complaint is that all of the women on the show have been terrible, but were not systematically eliminated in order. The men who have been eliminated were all still better than the girls on this show.
