  1. Except they broke up like 2 months ago.
  2. I would love to see this storyline build into a 5 or 6-man HIAC WWE title match but with HIAC only 2 weeks away that obviously won't happen. Anyway, Cena will go over at HIAC. The WWE title has been changing hands way too many times lately, and I can't see CM Punk winning it again so soon. Mark Henry putting Jerry Lawler through a table was a great moment. I laughed. I cried. I felt so many different emotions. Justice. Vindication. Jubilation. It was almost as good as Michael Cole losing his voice for NOC's main event. Wish it was a permanent condition. Ziggler was pretty good on the mic. He really is the total package. Hopefully after he drops the US title he gets a *serious* main event push. WWE continues to make Morrison look weak. Absolutely offensive waste of a great talent.
  3. http://www.wwe.com/shows/raw/muppets-coming-to-raw The Muppets are coming to Raw on 10/31. This is wrestling. Here's hoping that we all have something to do on Halloween night and thus will not suffer through this abomination.
  4. I will not look back fondly on Cena or Orton.
  5. Cena has won the title 3 times this year from 3 different opponents (Rey, Miz, ADR), all within the last 4 months. Holy crap they don't even seem to be trying. This is why people are sick of him. Henry winning clean was a huge surprise. Orton will win it back in time though, no way will WWE let anyone but Orton headline Smackdown. I am hoping for a 4-way at either HIAC or Vengeance though. HIAC would be awesome. HHH winning was the right move. Both guys looked incredibly strong. I'm not sure why R-Truth and Miz tried to help CM Punk win, and then pulled him off of HHH following a GTS. Did they want HHH to lose or didn't they? That didn't make sense. So now HHH and Punk are still faces. Where is this thing going? Guess I'll have to tune in tomorrow to find out, and hope that the writers have some idea. I'm not sure what Ted Dibiase did to deserve an IC title shot, but I thought the match was good and they had great chemistry with each other. This could be a good midcard feud for a few months. Ziggler retaining surprised me, but the match was good and Swagger should continue to be involved in a storyline, so I'm satisfied. I have no idea why they couldn't let Beth win the Divas title in her hometown. Seriously, why not? They went with the exact same match finish as last time. The "Divas of Doom" have absolutely no credibility. They have lost both their shots at Kelly Kelly. Why should we care anymore, for those of us who don't use the divas matches as a bathroom break as it is? Beth should have won. For the sake of the story and because SHE'S IN HER HOMETOWN. IT'S THE DIVAS TITLE. WHY NOT? BAH.
  6. Guess I'll do mine too . Punk will get screwed by some kind of outside interference and HHH will get the pinfall. Super Cena wins by DQ. I can see Henry winning by count out. Beth will beat K2 with help from Natalya for the title. Miz/Truth win the tag titles. Riley wins the US title. Rhodes retains the IC title.
  7. Edge will never wrestle again. Period. He has said his doctors will absolutely not clear him for a wrestling match under any circumstances and never will be able to as his condition will not improve over time. We have seen the last of Edge as an in-ring performer.
  8. Closest I've come to that is sometimes I forget to take my keys out of my pocket and start the car before I try to put it in reverse.
  9. I have found Miz and R-Truth's segments to be perhaps the only bright spots on Raw for the past 2 weeks.
  10. Boring, repetitive promo tonight to close the show. Really the entire Raw fell flat with me. The 4-way for the US title might be good. Cena/Del Rio I'm not looking forward to. CM Punk/HHH should be a good match but this storyline needs something big to happen at NoC to keep interest. Miz and R-Truth probably the only entertaining aspect of the show for the second week in a row.
  11. Scrubs isn't "fake", for all intents and purposes?
  12. Here's some good news for you guys who live near Baltimore. From PWTorch: TLC moved from Philly to Baltimore!
  13. Watched Rise of the Planet of the Apes last night. Absolutely loved it. Caesar is the one of the greatest film characters in recent memory.
  14. Hard to feel pity when someone is on such a self-destructive streak. Hope he is okay and can get some help and turn his life around, but it doesn't look good.
  15. Mick Foley coming back is awesome. Though I think the Anonymous Raw GM storyline is dead in the water, so it'll be interesting to see how they work him in.
  16. Two problems though are 1) What does WWE stand to gain? and 2) WWE can't even fit a good portion of their own talent on TV, where would they fit ROH guys in, and how would that be fair to WWE guys like Drew McIntyre who are talented all-around but just aren't ever given TV time? Not only do I think we will never see anything ROH-related on WWE TV, but I don't even think it's a good idea. WWE misuses it's own talent as it is, they don't need to do the same with another promotion's talent.
  17. There's not going to be any ROH invasion. ROH puts on fine matches but their guys aren't exactly oozing star quality and the WWE style is a lot different than what ROH does. On top of that most people have no idea ROH even exists. Just isn't going to happen. For the text thing, I still think it's Stephanie. She was conspicuously absent last night. I could see an angle where she tries to take over the company from her husband, being Vince's daughter and all. One thing is for sure though, Kevin Nash needs to do something about his clothes. He's on Raw now, it's time to stop looking like a truck driver.
  18. Fact of the matter is this Punk-Conspiracy storyline is bigger than the WWE title right now. Punk has 5 TV/PPV wins over Cena this year. This was Cena's first win over Punk this year. I was expecting a shmoz finish with a triple threat match set, but it looks like Cena beats CM Punk the same way Punk beat Cena at MITB, with a little outside distraction. I'm still holding out hope that we'll have a multi-man match at NOC though. A five-way scramble would be great, or a triple threat.
  19. Of course Rey is a hall of famer. No question. From a championship perspective, in addition to the world titles and Royal Rumble win you mentioned, he's held the Cruiserweight championship 8 times including WCW and WWE, the Intercontinental championship twice, the WWE tag team titles four times with four separate partners, the WCW tag titles 3 times with 3 separate partners, and the WCW Cruiserweight tag titles once. Aside from that though he's been putting on great matches in WCW/WWE since 1996 and has carried countless wrestlers to good matches. Guys like Mysterio, Jericho, Benoit, and Malenko made WCW Nitro watchable by putting on midcard bouts that totally outshone the shoddy main event matches between over-the-hill has beens like Hulk Hogan, Kevin Nash, Roddy Piper, etc. Factor in his massive popularity over the last several years, and I can't fathom how any could consider him not worthy of being a hall of famer. Of course the WWE hall of fame is a bit of a joke, but if it was as legitimate as it should be, he'd still be a shoe-in.
  20. I could see that gimmick go to either a returning Chris Masters or Colt Cabana.
  21. Cena's character in all of this is SUCH a mess. Okay he loses to CM Punk because HHH doesn't see his foot, and he's mad at...Alberto Del Rio?! For cashing in his hard-fought earned MITB which gives you the right to cash in when you want for the WWE title, as the 7 or 8 men before him did. What? Even CM Punk was realistic about it and HE WAS THE GUY WHO GOT THE TITLE TAKEN FROM HIM. But the biggest hypocrisy in all of this is John Cena WON the title from a guy who had already had a match the same night! Rey Mysterio! Cena's character is so awful and nonsensical. I don't care about his feud with ADR at all. It's based on hypocrisy and shallow storytelling. Now this CM Punk angle with HHH, Steph (the person I believe sent the text from HHH's phone), and Kevin Nash I find interesting. This is what I'm tuning in to Raw to see. Morrison/R-Truth match was good with an interesting finish. Nice to see Morrison get the clean victory and gain some momentum back.
  22. I'll wait until Raw and see where they're going with it before I judge it, but at first blush I was pretty underwhelmed by the result. Random Nash involvement, ADR having the title despite not being over AT ALL. Meh. I'm going to call in advance that Bryan and Barrett have another PPV match with the MITB briefcase on the line.
  23. Chris Masters doesn't even need a manager. He has charisma and he can talk. He also vastly improved in the ring and had a decent moveset. He has everything you need, WWE just didn't know what to do with him. I hope he is brought back.
  24. Two things can happen in the Punk/Cena match. Either HHH screws Punk, or HHH screws Cena. A clean victory either way makes HHH being the referee pointless, and throws water on the flames in this storyline. I think Christian retains through some form of outside interference. Either Henry, Khali, or Edge. Hopefully not Khali as that would probably lead to a Khali match and I don't think any of us need to see more of those. For Sheamus/Henry I think it's a little early to stop Henry, but having Sheamus lose clean would crush his face turn momentum. I'm gonna call a dirty finish with either a DQ or Henry cheating to win. Bryan going over clean seems obvious, so I think I'll go with Barrett somehow cheating to win, and that building up to another match with the briefcase on the line. For Beth/Kelly I could see it going either way because the divas division and title are so meaningless. They get like a minute per show. I doubt a lot of thought has gone into this storyline regardless. I'll go with Beth winning.
  25. Could say the same for a lot of guys, wouldn't consider them "trash".
