The Muppets actually put on the best segments of the show. The Santino match finish with Beeker interference was particularly hilarious. I wasn't excited about a Muppets Raw at all but those segments really had me laughing. Unfortunately the wrestling not so much... The Rock's opening promo was more of the same, and him not being there live really sucked any electricity out of it. Parts of the promo appeared really awkward, as if Rock was waiting for his next line. ADR/Big Show was a terrible, slow, drawn out match with a very curious finish. Big Show beats ADR clean. ADR as a champion has been booked incredibly weak, making me wonder why he even has the belt. They aren't doing anything with him as champ. He isn't drawing a crowd reaction. I really hope they put the belt on Punk and give us a fresh WWE title feud. Move ADR down the card, he has been an absolute bust. Meanwhile Big Show is getting a title rematch after losing his previous title match which he did nothing to earn in the first place. How does this make sense?! For God's sake at least have a #1 contender's match on Smackdown for him to win first. Give a decent reason for why this match is taking place. Ryder beating Ziggler clean in a non-title match puzzles me. The smart move in my mind would be for Vickie or Swagger to incidentally cost Ziggler his US title in a dirty finish to Ryder, protecting Ziggler for a main event push while taking the midcard title off of him. Instead Ryder wins non-title clean...makes Ziggler (the champion) look weak, and really does nothing for Ryder as he already lost his previous title shot. Are they going to move the title to him after all? Either way the booking was far less than ideal for either scenario. Rhodes and Barrett made a good tag team and it would appear we are heading for a Survivor Series match with them and Christian vs. Sheamus and Air Boom, as well as anyone else who may yet still get involved. I'm looking forward to Brodus Clay's debut next week. He has the mic skills, the menacing unique look, the passion and the intensity to be a big star. These vignettes have been gold, but all you have to do is look at his NXT-exit promo and his work with ADR/Christian/Edge on Smackdown earlier in the year to see he has a bright future. The booking of the Cena...er..."segment" was absolutely abysmal. Cena dominates Miz, and beats down R-Truth on top of it. Why are these guys having a tag match at Survivor Series? Apparently Cena can handle the two of them on his own with no problem. Obviously the reason is for The Rock's in-ring "return" and to build toward WM28, but would it hurt to make Awesome Truth look even a little bit strong? I can see a couple segments in the future with Awesome Truth beating down Cena, keeping with WWE's inconsistent booking, but IMO the damage has been done. Awesome Truth is a joke of a threat to Cena.

I don't know if you guys watch Smackdown, but last Friday's edition had some great matches. Very solid tag bout to start with Awesome Truth taking on Air Boom. A pretty good promo involving Christian and CM Punk. A short but exciting bout between Daniel Bryan and Tyson Kidd (they are working a Shawn vs. Bret angle kind of). An EXCELLENT match between Randy Orton and Dolph Ziggler, which solidified my belief in Ziggler as an imminent main eventer. Then the main event which was a good match between two of the best in the business today, CM Punk and Christian. This episode of Smackdown was probably the best 2 hours of wrestling I've seen in months. It's available on WWE's youtube channel if you guys missed it. Really, it's worth watching for the Orton/Ziggler match alone.

Ryder uploading Episode 37 of his youtube series today, only to have WWE force Youtube to take it down a mere 2 minutes later. He is going to edit and re-upload the video. Will be interesting to see if they take it down again, and how this affects Ryder's standing with the company. Also, WWE released Maryse today.

You really didn't miss anything at all. Basically HHH and Nash are feuding, Punk is moving on to a WWE title feud with ADR but it's not official yet, and Cena will team up with The Rock against Awesome Truth at Survivor Series. No Rock tonight though. The tag match might turn into a Survivor Series elimination match as that was what was originally advertised for The Rock's return.

That Raw was awful.

Honestly I would prefer Cena as WWE champion if he was going to feud with interesting heels. ADR is just boring. His manager outshines him. Give me a Cena/Ziggler feud with Ziggler capitalizing on distractions from Cena's thing with the Rock to win the title, and then Punk/Ziggler going into WM. Raw's main event scene is in such a rut right now. I think pushing Ziggler into it would freshen things up and possibly make a big star whom is actually entertaining. I'm not really excited for Vengeance at all, it's matches we've seen already aside from HHH/Punk vs Awesome Truth. It's more of a hurdle PPV to get us to Survivor Series, which is guaranteed to have some level of intrigue as The Rock will be involved. Hopefully this year the team matches have storyline purposes and build-up, unlike last year where they were thrown together at the last minute between randomly grouped faces and heels.

Obviously Foley's title win was handled a lot better and made logical sense, and this particular title change not so much. I'm just saying there's nothing wrong with having a title change hands on free TV by rule.

Nothing wrong at all with having a title change hands on free TV. WWF had that happen too. Mankind won his first WWF title on free TV, Triple H also (the day after Summerslam 99). Miz's title win on Raw was epic. By having big moments on TV it gives you a reason to tune in each week. Especially with a company like TNA where they aren't getting a ton of PPV buys anyway, and boosting Impact's ratings is probably the best thing they could focus on at the moment. However the booking of this particular title change is pretty puzzling.

Yeah WWE '12 looks pretty good. I'm most looking forward to new details on Universe 2.0, don't really care about RTWM or the non-Universe related create modes at all. Creating a brand/show is something I wanted in SVR11 and I'm glad they're including it. This means I can bring back ECW and do it right, and have a show just for my legends if I want to.

Actually HHH is not only in control of Raw, the opening segment of Smackdown explains that Triple H has agreed not to show up at Smackdown and leave it in Teddy Long's control, so that the WWE superstars will agree to compete at Smackdown. You can't judge a storyline based off dirt sheet spoiler summaries. No assumptions required here, the on-screen storytelling makes it pretty clear what is going on and the logic is as solid as pro wrestling story logic gets.

Yeah, you just don't get the full picture by reading dirt sheet spoilers, so there just isn't enough there to make a fair judgment.

JR always intentionally misdirects when he tweets about WWE. He's not spoiling anything. Personally I'm going to wait until I've actually watched this week's Smackdown before I bash the storyline. However, I have to say this seems like another example of WWE booking one show at a time instead of thinking ahead.

JR makes everything better. He has a gift to enhance what we see on TV that Cole could never replicate.

I think I'll record the football game and watch the PPV live. Pretty good card and decent build-up for a 2 week PPV. WWE has been on a roll since MITB with putting out good PPVs. That, and I hate watching football live for the same reason I hate most anything on TV live - commercials! I record everything I want to watch so I can skip those ad campaigns with their mind control jingles and their actors that claim not to be actors. Well, they're half-right anyway...

Great matches which give me a lot of hope for WWE's future. Jon Moxley in particular impressed me. He has that Ric Flair-esque dirty heel persona in the ring.

So if John Cena did it he would lose his push? Or CM Punk? Or Rey Mysterio? No...lol. It was quite an interesting occurrence though, you'd think he'd be a little less stiff with a freakin' ring bell. I know he and Cody Rhodes are good friends too.

I would watch the Santino Comedy Hour gotta be honest.

Youtube the FCW matches between Seth Rollins (Tyler Black) and Dean Ambrose (Jon Moxley) and it should be pretty clear who the future stars of WWE are. Unfortunately WWE gave them crappy names. Hopefully they will change them before moving them up to the main roster. Interesting how these are the guys who have made their rounds on the indy circuit rather than decided to be a pro wrestler one day, looked like a body builder, and just showed up at FCW.

I read they put the title back on Cena because Raw got that 2.7 rating. Personally I seriously doubt half a million people didn't tune in last week because Cena wasn't champion.

I think it is a no-brainer that Cena will beat Rock. Why wouldn't he? I certainly wouldn't book a Rock victory. Doesn't wrestle, doesn't do house shows, doesn't represent the company. A Rock victory would be a huge slap in the face to Cena, who does all those things in more.
