Haha me too. I actually did fall asleep during the Miz/Lawler TLC match. They were just so...slow...and cautious...and you knew Lawler wasn't going to win. A wrestling match has never literally put me to sleep like that before. I've stayed awake through Santino promos for crying out loud. At first when Cena attacked McGuillicutty I was like "Okay this is stupid." Then he came in and attacked Heath Slater by putting him through the table and I was like "Okay that wasn't bad." Then he got cornered by Nexus and I thought "Oh good Barret sprung a trap and now this will be over Oh God here comes the 'WWE Locker Room' again". I'll admit though, seeing Gabriel get AA'd onto a car was kind of cool. I just wish it didn't mean more CENA. Kind of wondering what Otunga's plan is though...maybe this angle won't go the way we're all expecting it too. That's what I'm hoping anyway. Probably in vain. The double count out was just bad. They give Ezekiel this great push and put him in the KOTR tournament only to have him get counted out...I mean I guess they didn't want him to *lose* the match as they probably want to keep pushing him without giving him the KOTR, but still, tie finishes are lame. Just look at TNA. What was even worse was how they handled the double count-out. Okay, so, so far we have Del Rio, Morrison, and Sheamus all having fought one match, winning, and advancing. But then inexplicably Sheamus gets a BYE while Del Rio and Morrison have to have their match, and then the winner takes on a fresh Sheamus. This was a HORRIBLE idea. What I immediately thought was "Huh? Why aren't they just having a triple threat?". I didn't realize the KOTR brackets were so sacred that you had to follow them to the letter. Sheamus/Morrison was a good match but I was disappointed Morrison lost. He just beat Sheamus at Survivor Series, he had the disadvantage, seemed like a great time for a Morrison push with him prevailing against overwhelming odds. Instead we got a Sheamus push, a guy who was JUST WWE champion, for a second time. What's the thought process here? Speaking of TNA, Jerry the King Lawler? Seriously? At first I thought "Whoah the King has never had a world title, or even a world title shot? Well maybe he does deserve one then..." but then they go back on his career and show HE HAS BEEN WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION. He HAS held world titles. He's held a bunch of titles. There was NO justification for this match beyond it being his birthday. Are we going to see Jimmy Snuka get a title match on his birthday? How about Randy Savage? Or is it only for guys who haven't slept with Stephanie McMahon... EDIT: Oh I see he never held a world title in the WWF. Still, the man has had an accomplished career. He didn't need to get involved in this. Was disappointed overall. I wish the Miz title reign was being taken more seriously. I wish Cena really was going away for a while. I wish WWE didn't decide to emulate TNA with tie-finishers and having old men wrestle. I wish there was some kind of TLC build-up going on. There are no feuds and I foresee the TLC feuds being rushed, anti-climactic, and the matches themselves unenjoyable as I just don't think PG TLC matches work. In fact, it kind of defeats the entire purpose. Okay someone else take the soap box now. EDIT: Oh my God I forgot to mention, CM Punk was awesome and hilarious tonight. He made the bad parts watchable.
