  1. I thought he was the best in-ring and on the mic by far of the entire season. Bateman's pretty good on the mic and in-ring as well but not quite as good. I think both were better than Curtis though. That guy is just bland.
  2. Can't believe Johnny Curtis won Season 4. He was bad in the ring and on the mic. His winning promo was weak. Then Brodus Clay proceeded to cut an A+ promo better than anything Cena has ever done. Look it up when you guys get the chance. I want to see Brodus on Raw or Smackdown ASAP.
  3. That was a pretty bad Raw. Non-stop talking, very few, short matches. Reminded me of TNA. We also get to look forward to more Randy Orton squash matches against the Nexus jobbers until Wrestlemania where he will wrestle a worthy opponent...who he will probably beat because Cena and Orton are supermen. Poor Sheamus got destroyed by HHH and then further buried by a returning Evan Bourne. Glad to see Evan back though, he's a hell of an athlete. I personally hope they use him to spice the tag division up, I was into the Bourne/Henry team for the short while it lasted before he got injured. Also, Alex Riley main eventing Raw? Really? Really? So Morrison/Miz can't main event a bake sale but Alex Riley gets to main event WWE's flagship program. Nice. Speaking of Morrison, nowhere to be seen this week. Doubt he'll get a program for Wrestlemania, hope he'll at least get to wrestle a few matches before they put him in MITB.
  4. Actually he was 100% correct in not dropping the IC belt to Ziggler, and I say this as a huge Dolph fan. Ziggler wasn't deserving then, to drop the belt to him would have devalued it. Morrison was far more over, and Mysterio's decision to drop it to Morrison rather than Ziggler was proved right when Morrison got huge pop upon winning the title. Don't presume to understand Mysterio's mindset based on him not wanting to drop a belt to someone. Mysterio wasn't concerned about how he looked, he was more concerned with the Intercontinental Championship's prestige. An accurate statement. Problem?
  5. Don't know where the hostility toward Rey comes from, one of the hardest working and loyal guys in the WWE. Always been friendly with the fans, gave us awesome matches over the years and did so just a few weeks ago at the Chamber...he hand-picked Cody Rhodes to feud with for Mania to put the guy over, so nobody can accuse him of burying people or being anti-youth movement. Just all-around a great guy. I guess people get bored of the 619 but watch a Randy Orton match. All he does is scoop slam DDT and RKO. At least Mysterio still gives us decent spots here and there. If Rey Mysterio believes he has a few years in him I'll take his word over cynical smarks. I'm not really a big fan of Mysterio myself btw I just don't think the criticisms are anywhere near fair. He gives his all to entertain us and his all is still pretty damn good. I am crossing my fingers that they aren't going through with the retirement angle for HHH/Taker at Mania. HHH just doesn't need to restrict himself like that. Looking forward to The Rock but man I'm tired of having Smackdown show ten minutes from Raw every week...how about a match instead?
  6. If Rey's in such bad condition his career may be over soon that sure doesn't paint a good picture of the rest of the WWE roster considering he probably had the second best performance of the night in the Elimination Chamber.
  7. When you're Triple H and the Undertaker, yeah that's all you gotta do. Why not? Really liking the Rhodes/Mysterio feud. I'm looking forward to seeing it develop and hopefully culminate at Wrestlemania with Cody going over (not necessarily winning the match). I'm convinced we won't see Christian in a match at Wrestlemania (unless he sneaks into MITB). He's still out for 3-4 weeks as far as wrestling goes, and it seems WWE is really focusing on building up Edge/Del Rio. Christian will probably get involved in the match somehow and feud with Del Rio after Mania, but that's the most I think you can expect at this point.
  8. Oh TNA, how hilariously awful you are.
  9. I was reading this ex-WWE creative's blog http://creativerecall.wordpress.com/2011/02/23/raw-recall-february-21-2011/ and a really good note he made about last night's Raw is... If Miz planned to betray Cena all along why take the 7 minute beating while trying to make the tag?
  10. I don't know, he'd be easier to take more seriously without the bright colorful color coordinated outfits that make him look like an overgrown child. I think it's the baseball cap that really does it... But yeah the fairy tale endings more than anything are really bothersome. I get the feeling in a couple of months we'll look back on Miz's title reign the same way we look back on the original Nexus storyline...just another episode of Cena saving the day. His reign in the grand scheme of things won't really be about The Miz, the same way Nexus wasn't really about Barret (just look at him now...), it is all about John Cena.
  11. Because if the kids thought for more than an hour that John Cena might actually be fired their worlds would fall apart.
  12. Maybe Sting? It'd be nice to put the discussion to rest.
  13. Some people who were at the show last night are saying a promo aired during commercial promoting a Triple H Vs Sheamus match on Raw in a couple of weeks. So looks like the feud might not be entirely forgotten.
  14. I recommend John Morrison Dolph Ziggler CM Punk Wade Barret.
  15. Yeah I know there's been rumors it's going to be streak vs career I just don't like the idea personally. It seems too early for him to hang it up, and unnecessarily restrictive for him to say his wrestling career is over. He's going to be a part of WWE for a long time (for the rest of his life I assume?), why make a deal never to wrestle again? He'll either break his promise giving us yet another meaningless career stipulation, or we'll lose out on never seeing Triple H in the ring again. It's lose-lose. IMO anyone who would order WM27 to see Taker Vs HHH will do it for them alone, the career vs streak stipulation seems unnecessary. Then again I could be way off and they might get a few extra buys with a career stipulation, I'm not a promotion expert.
  16. Yeah, I know all about all the people who were in denial... I'm glad HHH is back, maybe he'll turn heel and go after Cena after Wrestlemania.
  17. And prior to that, Shawn Michaels and Stone Cold in 97... I don't know, kind of a weird Raw. Got the match I've wanted to see in CM Punk/Morrison but they were both too busy selling the EC injuries (which of course Cena had no troubles to speak of) to have a good match. Taker coming back was expected...HHH was a cool "swerve" though I knew about it for a while. The crowd seemed more excited for HHH than Taker. Sheamus losing AGAIN...sigh, I wonder if they even know what they're doing with him at this point. The whole Cena/Miz thing was just strange. Now The Corre don't really feel like deserving champions if total misfits can just walk in and dominate them. Oh the tag division, even without Santino and Vladmir as champs you're still a joke. By the way WOW at Cole bringing up Lawler's deceased mother. I thought he might do it but then thought there's no way but he did it and I was shocked. I can't believe Lawler would green light that so soon after his mom's passing.
  18. It was exactly the same.
  19. I think Cena might be trying to show he can be at The Rock's level on the mic tonight. Needless to say, this will be hilarious.
  20. I'm more interested in seeing if The Rock is going to show up tonight than 2-21-11. It's obviously Taker. After Cena's superhero moment last night I really need to see The Rock show up and put him in his place.
  21. Always thought this was a solid and amusing promo by a face Morrison - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2NRW-Qz_0xk He can do promos he just doesn't get any mic time. As for crowd reaction, well that's just not true. He gets a ton of pop, the fans love him. Anyone recall the match a couple years ago him and Rey Mysterio had that had the crowd chanting "This is awesome", and cheered when Morrison beat Mysterio? He isn't just a spot monkey, he performs amazing moves all the time. He's an incredible athlete. Admittedly he has botched his finisher a few times but to be fair it's a pretty difficult maneuver.
  22. I don't see Morrison getting into the WWE title match. I'd love it I just don't see it happening with the way he's been booked. He gets opportunities to make his moments in the ring and do cool moves but he isn't involved in any storylines really, he doesn't get to talk much at all so I can't see him suddenly cutting promos for a Wrestlemania WWE title feud. I think it's going to be Cena Vs Miz with Cena winning and a fairy-tale ending for the kiddies after they lost Cena for a few weeks to Nexus (even though he did nothing FOR Nexus) and that time he retired for a minute. I'm more interested in Smackdown right now with the return of Christian than I am what's going on over on stale Monday Night Raw. Then again this might be why Undertaker is returning on Raw, to "spice" things up even though there is nothing new or refreshing about the Undertaker returning. Happens like twice a year.
  23. I will post my thoughts on the PPV once I've de-raged a little. Just something I want to point out though: John Cena won the Raw Elimination Chamber last year as well. He also won the WWE Championship at last year's Wrestlemania. They're literally repeating the same stuff with Cena.
  24. Well I was dead on in my predictions. Unfortunately. Morrison was incredible in that EC match. Just wow. The best performance of the night. Cena Vs Miz at Wrestlemania. Who didn't see this coming?
  25. I was foolishly hoping Miz wouldn't be made to look like he needed help to beat Jerry Lawler but not Daniel Bryan and Kofi Kingston. It really makes all three champions look like trash.
