  1. I don't understand why that area wouldn't be padded if that spot was planned, which it most certainly had to be given the double count-out finish. Seems reckless.
  2. Jericho-Taker would be pretty good, but I don't think he should end it. He's an egomaniac who always talks about his accomplishments, but in reality has always been booked very beatable, taking short-cuts in order to get the win. He's an awesome character, but his breaking the streak just doesn't work. Definitely be a good match though. Too bad it won't happen. HHH-Taker is about as good as booked. I could see HHH ending it though I personally don't agree that he should. He's definitely a better fit than Jericho for ending it character-wise, but it just seems like a wasted opportunity. Why have a guy on his way out (of in-ring competition) break the streak of another guy on his way out? What does it do for the business? I'd rather a young guy is booked on a hot streak and ends up going against Taker, and he breaks it, if anyone is to break it. Someone like a Dolph Ziggler or a John Morrison. Wade Barrett works too. Someone's brought up the idea of Drew McIntyre, but eh, he's been booked so poorly I don't know if he could be legitimized in time for WM28.
  3. This is just sad. From Wrestling-Edge (http://www.wrestling-edge.com/wwe-news-rumors/gohome-smackdown-rating-update-reported-wwe-releases.html) So yeah, WM27 featured less wrestling than the Royal Rumble, and just 10 minutes more than the Elimination Chamber, despite being an hour and fifteen minutes longer. Considering how long that Cole match was (too long)...like I said, sad. Wrestlemania should be a lot better than this. Another thing, about this Rock vs Cena match. They just booked a match a YEAR in advance that everyone who has ever been a fan of wrestling will want to see. A lot of things can happen in a year, especially for someone like John Cena who is going to be wrestling every week. They can not afford for this match to end up not happening. That would be a catastrophe for the WWE. I wonder if we're going to see Cena get protected big time or what. I certainly wouldn't be surprised if we don't see him eat a Wasteland between now and then...
  4. Okay if everyone is going to Wrestlemania who am I going to talk about it with on the forums? Summerslam is 30 mins from me this year though so I might go. Gotta prioritize college fees of course though.
  5. So I guess Cena won't be WWE champion going into Wrestlemania 28? I can live with that. Interesting how Miz appears to have won more and more people over, and Cena even put the guy over. Who's thinking Miz might be a face by next year's Wrestlemania? I'm glad Morrison got the victory over Ziggler tonight. Losing to Ziggler, being pinned by Vickie, and not even getting tagged in at Mania...he really needed this win to get some momentum back. Even if he did miss his finisher.
  6. Lol, people criticize Rey Mysterio and Evan Bourne for being one-trick ponies but every time they have matches I see A LOT more and different moves than ANY Orton match. Man Orton is predictable and repetitive. Clothesline -> Scoopslam -> Ring rope DDT -> RKO. That all he does. Not an exaggeration. Just proof in-ring ability is pretty irrelevant these days. As for TE contestants, I thought the southern kid from Mississippi (or was it Alabama?) that Booker T said he liked seemed like he had potential.
  7. I was going to watch the HoF ceremony but if I don't get to see Sunny then screw it. I'm all full up on HBK moments, thanks. brb Raw
  8. That's what I want too but I don't know, I really felt like Cena ending the reign of Miz was a sure thing. Now I have to think that Super Orton will be getting his revenge. I really just want CM Punk and John Morrison to have title reigns at some point during this year. Sooo tired of Cena and Orton.
  9. Well, Shawn Michaels won the 1995 Rumble but didn't win at Mania, though he did win the '96 Rumble the following year and become champion on that year's Mania. So it's not really anything new or recent for the Rumble winner not to become champion. I think the whole angle with Taker looking dead after that match is more than just writing him off TV for a while, I think they're going for an "he's been through so many wars and he's at his end" angle, and he might lose next year to a younger guy, since he'd be as beatable as he has ever been throughout the streak. That'd be my hope anyway. Then again WWE is likely to forget the whole angle even happened and just book a big name against him again for the PPV buys. Did anyone else see the HHH 2001 tombstone sign? I loved that. So I'm thinking we might see Orton feud with Miz again now and reclaim his title, since he defeated Nexus and Cena just lost his title shot. Then again this is the WWE where everyone gets a dozen rematches.
  10. Wasn't terrible. Mysterio/Rhodes was good, CM Punk/Orton was a good match but a predictable finish. Taker/HHH was a great match. Miz/Cena was okay but The Rock's involvement was epic. I expected Corre/Big Show & Friends to be a lot better. I expected it to last more than 2 minutes. The tag and IC champs got BURIED. Morrison and Ziggler were the only part of the Snooki match I wanted to see, and they never got tagged in. Edge/Del Rio opening the show and going the same way their matches have gone on Smackdown was just disappointing. Terrible booking. Cole-Lawler was entirely too long and the finish didn't make any sense, but Stone Cold was entertaining. So yeah, half-good, half-bad, 50% will get you an F in my book but the show had it's moments.
  11. Thank you Rock.
  12. Yeah no way HHH was breaking the Streak. Called it.
  13. Wow that was long, drawn out, boring, and had a lot of things that make zero sense. Still love Stone Cold though.
  14. Stone Cold coming out on an ATV was awesome.
  15. Yay for a predictable Super Orton RKO out of nowhere finish. Nobody saw that coming.
  16. I think aside from the Rhodes match its been pretty underwhelming tbh. This CM Punk match is good so far though.
  17. Mysterio just put Rhodes over big time.
  18. I don't think we're in for a HHH winning swerve. Perhaps more likely HBK prevents HHH from winning because he doesn't want his best friend doing what he couldn't.
  19. Right, Scott Hall decided there would be too much pressure for him to fall back into his self-destructive ways were he to attend. I respect his decision a great deal considering his past.
  20. Which is funny because TNA features significantly less wrestling and more so-called entertainment. Sounds like an April fool's joke to me.
  21. I got the feeling he was being restrained heavily because they didn't want to give away The Rock being The Rock on free TV so close to Wrestlemania. The situation had to be left unresolved on Raw so all the people who only care about The Rock have a reason to watch Wrestlemania. Unfortunately it made The Rock come off kind of weak last week. I'm afraid we're not in for any kind of redemption either, because despite what he says the fact is that Cena is going to be on Raw every week while The Rock is going to go away and maybe show up now and again, so WWE is certainly not about to have The Rock discredit their current face of the company.
  22. Austin Vs Punk would be too much for me. My top two favorite wrestlers of all time. OF ALL TIME. Punk's right about one thing though, Straight Edge > Beer. That said I wouldn't mind seeing him eat a Stunner, anything to get Stone Cold back in the ring.
  23. It's going to happen. Miz's title run is running out of steam. They obviously have no plans to make him legitimate (cheating to beat Lawler, running away from Cena) any time soon. How many more times can we watch him ambush, run away, and cheat against sub-par opponents before it gets boring?
  24. Team Morrison Vs Team Ziggler: Team Morrison with Snooki pinning Ziggler. Daniel Bryan Vs Sheamus: Daniel Bryan. I think they gave Sheamus the title just so they could take it away from him. Cody Rhodes vs Rey Mysterio: Rey Mysterio. Cody Rhodes isn't at the point he should be going over Mysterio, still very young, but this is a great opportunity for Rhodes to appear legitimate. Team Comedy Vs The Corre: The Corre wins through illicit means, then Team Comedy clears the ring. Randy Orton vs CM Punk: Randy Orton. Super Orton isn't going to lose. Edge Vs Del Rio: Del Rio. I don't know if I buy into Christian heel turning. I just think Del Rio has been built up too much to lose. Jerry Lawler vs Michael Cole: Jerry Lawler. Stupid feud is stupid, horrible match will be horrible. The Miz Vs John Cena: John Cena. Storybook ending. Triple H Vs The Undertaker: Undertaker. HHH breaking the streak would be stupid. He's already lost to Taker at WM and frankly he gains nothing by doing it.
  25. Well if the Raw GM is using everyone's catchphrases it can be no other than Howard Finkel. He DID throw out some wrestling history trivia with the Rock N' Sock connection a few weeks ago. I'm going with Finkel for now and really my guess is as good as anyone's, as I doubt even WWE knows what they want to do with the Raw GM storyline. I could easily see it just going away and never resolved...or never going away and never being resolved... They should have every event in Chicago. CM Punk is a face there and John Cena is a heel. It's really a dream venue for any internet smark.
