Zay Jones is an exceptional Wr.
First: Christian Mccaffrey
Second: Obi Melifonwu
Third: Chris Godwin

Weird, jones has probably the best ball skills in the class
Watching the combine, he dropped and look hesitant catching balls.. Maybe, the pressure got to him?

Lattimore is crazy gifted but with the broad skill set that Jones has and health on his side, I wouldn't be able to place super high ceiling Lattimore over Jones because he is just too risky when you have a polished CB with a very high floor
I usually tend to agree with you on your posts, but, Jones has me skeptical. I didn't like his hands, appears shaky at times. No question he has the speed and other intangibles.

Only few time I dedicated to him was watching the Senior Bowl practices a few times and, just like you all, I was very impressed. Super fluid dropping in coverage and good speed around the edge. Very good athlet. I'll let you know soon. Do you have any specific tape to suggest?
You might be 100% right. Mine is just the fear that, in case we're able to get him, his go to move might be neutralized with relative ease by any pro LT who shows a good, deep kick and has the patience to punch him at the right time. He is a lot more than that anyway so I wouldn't be overly concerned
Melifonwu would be a great addition to our secondary.
I really like the 2 UConn players, Obi Melifonwu S and Noel Thomas Wr, I hope our scouts are looking at them.
I would like to add Kendall Wright. Low cost, longevity, proven possession receiver that can get open. We need players that can keep us from consistently going 3 and out, allowing us to score on any drive.
TY Tucker!
"RAVENS GIVE 'VERY COMPETITIVE' OFFER TO RICK WAGNER"
Doesn't mean a thing. That was the exact same phrase ("a very competitive offer") they used about Osemele last season - and we all know how that worked out...
Lol
Same line every year!
Comp pick coming up!
No tags, sensible contracts, or build through the draft and June 1st cuts.
Out with the old, in with the new. No more castoffs! It's time we get serious about our wide receivers. Heck, only the Patriots are worse at drafting wr's than us, although NE Malcolm Mitchell might have put them above us. It's time Oz steps away from his mentor's Belichick's evaluation charts on selecting wr's and hire someone outside of the Ravens box.
I really don't know that we have an identity on offense. Every week we tend to go in a different direction. I do know we have a quarterback that likes to throw the deep ball, but neither Wallace or Smith man up to fight for it. I say we quit with the FA market guys and finally draft a wr at 16, so we can finally put our wr quandary to rest.
Ravens want young infusion of talent at safety???? Really??? Well, they need to fire some of their talent advisors, because they have repeatedly failed. The topic should read....."Ravens clean cuberts and hire new football draft and free agent advisors, whom put them over the top!"
Id say they want more Maulers. More in the mold of the JO,Yanda,KO lineage.
Just mean man on man maulers 320-350lb monster road graders.
Moton OT is a perfect choice 6-5 330lb monster orobably 3rd rndr. Nico Siragusa, Jay Guillermo OG/C, Dorian Johnson, all 315 to 330 plus OG 6'3 and up
So Ravens will have plenty of big Maulers to choose from and now that it looks like a they will getting back to their roots with run game and defense as jobs are on the line.
I expect Big boys and a vastly improved oline
Yep, win the field battle. The more maulers who force their will on the opposition, the better.

In the draft I'd like to see Christian McCaffery fill that role. Even as a running back, he catches the ball as well as any receiver. He's intelligent and can learn the entire route tree if necessary. He's durable and has an NFL pedigree with his father being an NFL standout receiver for Denver. He could easily become a great Edelman/Ty Montgomery for us like what they wanted with Campanaro. Further to that they can always use another impact RB.
McCaffery is an incredible player. Comparing him to lesser players is just unjust. As Emeril Lagasse says "Let's take it up a notch!" That's exactly what Christian will do, upon entry to the NFL. You see a guy of his caliber come into the league, once every ten years.
9 hours ago, EdTheMythicalOne said:A "complimentary" receiver. How hard is that to define. Why does the article writer follow that up by asking, "Does that mean a number one target...?"
Um...no. You call that a "primary" target or a "number one receiver."
A "complimentary" guy is a guy that is a second or third guy on your depth chart. A chain mover type like this is what Boldin has been in the last few years as what little speed he had has slipped. A sure handed guy that makes tough catches and isn't easy to tackle. Or maybe it is that guy they are hoping Keenan Reynolds and Campanaro can be.
Since we lost Smith, Wallace may be gone, and Aiken is all but sure to go, that doesn't leave the Ravens with a #1 guy, so to compliment that...?
Maybe they want a guy that will come in and say, "Hey, you look really good in that uniform. What a nice helmet and I love this logo. Boy, the new grass field here in Baltimore is great. Coach Harbaugh wears some good cologne. Ozzie Newsome is so smart."
Yes, the complimentary would be the latter guy.
My question: Who is our number 1 guy? Don't even say Wallace or Perriman.
3 hours ago, MadStorkSociety said:No, draft high for the defense. Turn us into a number one defense and turn Joe into a game manager. That approach worked before!
Joe, can't manage a game by himself. see the last 3 years.
Pick up Kendall Wright in free agency, draft Corey Davis in the first, Christian McCaffrey in the 2nd (might have to move up 5 or 6 picks) and the Ravens will have a prolific offense for the next 5-10 years.
Add your defensive backs, o-lineman, lb's with the remainder of the picks.
Simple

Perriman shows a lot of promise as a big play WR. I think he dominates fade routes/jump balls, and has the speed to take any play to the house. How we use him in year three will be the telling sign. All year I saw a coaching staff that had no clue how to utilize their roster to get the most out of each players skillset. That is the biggest problem IMO.
Williams hasn't shown much at all. Injuries have derailed his first 2 seasons. He's real young (22) which is a plus. But, I just don't see him as a top tier TE. I assume blocking will be his forte
On 1/24/2017 at 11:13 AM, RavensDieHard21 said:Ramczyk is a great player but he had a hip injury. As we all know that is risky business. Ozzie will avoid any questionable injuries like the plague this year.
If Wagner leaves, Robinson would be the exact opposite of Wagners skill set . He would be a punishing run blocker with average pass protection skills. He does have immense potential though.
Upon further review, Robinson had recent drug and gun charges. Both counts were dropped, however, questions lie.
Best available could be an offensive tackle:
Ramczyk- Wisconsin or Robinson- Alabama
That's intriguing. Having Bookends would be sweet
Unfortunately, I can't see us drafting a Wr in the early rounds. So, I'm looking at the later rounds where we can land someone like Amba Etta-Tawo from Syracuse. Guys with hands and can fight for the ball.
30 minutes ago, -Truth- said:Tretter is a very intriguing option. He also filled in admirably at LT for them in 2015, so he can play anywhere across the OL, and he was rock solid at center this season before the injury. Now the latter is somewhat of a general concern with him, but it'll also likely drive down his market value, so he could very well be an affordable get despite his young age and recent success. I'd be all for it, especially since he's a UFA.
Green Bay really develops o line players. They are a plug and play line. Picking up a FA from there, would be a good thing.
I would love to have Corey Davis, but, I feel we are going corner in the first. So, I like Chris Godwin out of Penn State as a complementary receiver, strong possession type guy. Now with Orr retiring, we might be pressed to go defense with the first 3 pics and Godwin could be there in the 4th or 5th. Solid, great hands, but unspectacular in the speed department.
The funny thing about the 2011 draft, we actually had the 26th pick. We froze, the clock ran out, and we were passed by KC. We luckily selected Jimmy at 27.
We can't make that mistake again, especially at 16.

His career consisted of 3 years with a total of 8 picks, with 1 returned for a td. Freshman year 2, Sophomore 4, Junior 2. I guess that's pretty decent, considering Patrick Peterson had 7, Marcus Peters 11, and Darrelle Revis 8 with only 3 years of college. I might take him with the second round pick, but, I'm sure not risking an early first rounder on him, as he also has notable weight and strength issues be considered a true, early first round, shut down Cb. I'm picky with my evaluations on skilled position players, and seeing him bobble balls took him off my first round list.
