  1. The problem with throwing to Wallace and Perriman is that they are only targeted for bombs of 30 or more yards, That's Joe's favorite play and he sits back waiting for them to come open. He's usually under duress before he tries to find an outlet. So looking back, there he was all season long, either forcing the throw, throwing out of bounds, bouncing it or overthrowing it to a rb, or taking the sack. He may have thrown for 4000 yds, but, he is the king of 3 and outs.
  2. That's why we need a slot receiver. Someone quick that can get open immediately and is a threat to take it to the house on any touch. You would be amazed how one player can help to open up an entire offense. Our line with Stanley, Lewis, Wagner, and Yanda is quite formidable. We definitely need a Center, but that position can be had in the 3rd or 4th round, with a comp pick. Tyreek Hill is a prime example.
  3. You are preaching to the choir. AAA response.
  4. Our receivers are bad, the entire league and it's fans know that. But, you are spot on with our Qb play
  5. Only 2 players were able to get consistently open, and they were Pitta and SSS. Pitta was open on nearly every play, where Smith was not.. Please review the footage.
  6. Dean Pees will be our DC moving forward. Anyone who thinks elsewise, doesn't get it.
  7. Yeah, coddle them all and give them all trophies. What happens if Joe gives us the same season next year?
  8. I remember seeing a few Ints, some could have been pick 6's that weren't caught too.
  9. I truly believe Mccaffery will primarily be used in the slot, for longevity and playmaking ability. As I mentioned in previous posts, he is the epitome of a swiss army knife. A player capable of playing many positions, including kick returns. I view him as a go to guy, a defensive coordinator's nightmare.
  10. Currently, we are picking in the 16th spot, probably the 20th, once all is said and done.. I have us taking a playmaker on offense and special teams: Christian Mccaffrey. IMO we would have won more games with a quality offensive weapon.
  11. I'm with you on everything, except you mention going deep. With our personal we can get deep, but once there we don't fight for the ball, nor has the ball been spot on. We need better chemistry and aggressive wideouts. I will also continue to post that we need a real slot receiver, someone quick, who puts the fear in opposing defenses, with his play making abilities. Solid depth on defense is the name of the game. Having one player go down, shouldn't implode the entire defensive side of the ball. I especially like: snap the freaking ball before you hit 3 seconds on the play clock to keep teams from teeing off in the pass rush.
  12. We had a running game, we had it all year. We just didn't utilize it to it's fullest.
  13. Toss up: The Offensive Coordinators or our Wide receiver scouts.
  14. I personally like Joe and defend him, but, this year he looked like a deer in headlights. He was very inconsistent and didn't appear take command of the huddle, as the Wr's and he were off kilter. Mallet taking a start, or a few series after some of Joe's mishaps , would have sent a message to all, not just Joe.
  15. 20 TD'S 14 INTS: Horrible Some int's were game losers and how about the strip sack fumbles? The guy looked slow in decision making, always looking deep, then checking down in front of the first down marker. Given, the receivers were awful, pretty much the norm around here.. I believe he only hit one wr in stride, laughable it was Perriman ,and that went for a TD! I would have put his million dollar butt on the bench, until he decided to take his game back to where he was awarded the huge salary. The Ravens supposedly paid him for what he would give them in the future. I believe they have been ripped off the last 3 years.
  16. Stop with the old guys! Let's draft a real receiver who will start and play for the next 15 yrs.
  17. I would love a loss. I would also put all those so called developmental players on the field to see if they have a future. If not, clean the house and refill.
  18. I would like to see Elam play outside/ inside LB, cause he sure can't play safety.
  19. I kinda like to see if Mallet can make something happen with our offense. This would be an indication if Joe is regressing or not fully recovered physically and mentally for the starting Qb job. He has been awful all year.
  20. Weddle could never tackle Hogan in the open field, so it's a pretty moot point. Even when Wentz and A. Brown were right in his face, he couldn't stop them from scoring.
  21. I think we are losing touch with LB's too
  22. Watson will be coming off a terrible injury at the ripe age of 37, he's gone. We need to hire a wide receiver consultant and tell our scouts to concentrate on other things like next year's pollyanna gift. Otherwise, you are spot on with your assessment!
  23. How about : reason #2: Max is only a blocker and is chronically hurt during his short career, #3 Boyle had a ten game suspension, #4 Gilmore is often hurt and couldn't get separation or make a catch in the clutch, in the earlier part of the season. #4 Pitta get's it, he can get open and help the quarterback, like Steve Smith, they are vets and know the game. #5 Waller wasn't ready.
  24. Also, Hogan blew by him so fast, that Elam stumbled over his own feet trying to turn around.
  25. Yes! Brady saw slooooow Elam lined up across from Hogan and must have done everything to hold back the laughter, as he uncorked the ball. He's on the team because we keep striking out and reaching for safeties. Wideouts are the other swing and miss candidates. Maybe, the Scouting department will pick up a draft book this year.
