  1. I love receivers that are aggressive, powerful and work back for the ball. I have no tolerance for the finesse guys who don't fight for the ball.
  2. Oh, this kid is going to be great.
  3. C'mon Rossihunter2, it's not hard to realize that you are really JoeyFlex5 under another profile. Your jig is up, Joey!
  4. Well, he did beat his collegiate career numbers for total yardage. So, his NFL numbers are on deck.
  5. I totally disagree. My comparison is a cross between Barry Sanders and Wes Welker. They both had little room to work with, but, they made their separation. Detroit's line was always one of the worst in the entire NFL, yet, Barry made plays. And yes, I compared him to a HOF player. This is my opinion and I am sticking to it, as I am seldom ever wrong.
  6. He has my vote
  7. McCaffery can play multiple positions, and play them at the highest level. He can play slot. outside, returner. and running back. He creates mismatches and would be a joy for any coordinator.
  8. There's decent depth at the receiver position this year. My personal favorite is Davis. He, is what I look for in a number one receiver. He can separate and always wins the contested ball. Overall ,he appears entirely more athletic than Williams. In any other draft I would definitely pick him. However, I am staying with my pick from last year, Christian McCaffrey. He can play anywhere and IMO do more for this team than any other player in this entire draft. Nabbing McCaffery in the first, then landing either Goodwin, Jones or Etta-Tawo in the third round would make our offense scary.
  9. Carr's last season stats: He was targeted 99 times and allowed 60 receptions for 850 yards and five touchdowns. He snagged just one interception.
  10. It's just business, nothing personal. Read Sami's post below. As in the Guinness commercial, "Brilliant!"
  11. Agree , Z Brown would be a good fit at an attractive price, We have so many needs I doubt WR will be our first pick. Mangold would be a nice piece, but the surprise may be Boldin..... Brown would be yuuuuge!
  12. Thank you! I've been saying this for weeks now and may Ravens fans are not too high on him. If any fans want a Julian Edelman-type in Bmore that has a nose for first downs and can take on KR/PR duties, he's the guy. The Ravens can also trade out of 16th, a a couple more picks, and draft him in the mid-20's. He's an NFL-ready player. If Joe needs a checkdown guy in the slot that can make 1st downs, look no further. McCaffery is hands down better than Edelman. I also, like him better than anyone in this draft. He can line up anywhere; outside, slot, back field, and can even throw a pass!
  13. Well, in order to say it's a bust or not, we should break it down. Let's start with the players and rounds: 1-Matt Elam (Bust) 2 Arthur Brown (Bust) 3 Brandon Williams (Score) 4 John Simon (Score, but waived) 5 Kyle Juszczyk (Score) 6 Rick Wagner (Score) 6 Kapron Lewis-Moore (Bust) 6 Ryan Jensen (Score) 7 Aaron Mellette (Bust) 7 Marc Anthony (Bust) Final: 5 Scores vs 5 Busts Personally, I call this draft a bust, as I wanted "The Honey Badger" Tyrann Mathieu in round 1. He dropped to the 3rd round due to off field issues- failed 10 drug tests and was kicked off the LSU football team. In hindsight, he appeared to be the right choice, as the Ravens safety position has been dismal and he has been a Pro Bowl player.
  14. No, we brought in Woodhead and Jefferson, thus offsetting our losses.
  15. Isn't Facebook FAKE news?
  16. I hope the Ravens take a look at free agents: Kendall Wright and Cordarrelle Patterson
  17. So happy to have Pitta back and Boyle for an entire season! I believe Watson will be cut and Williams will do his norm.
  18. Don't you think it's time for the NFL to put out a list of supplements that have banned ingredients in them? Or, produce a list of approved supplements? Or, the player should ask the team doctors to review their list , prior to taking them. Also, the team should note to the players, that taking something from a person at a gym, might have bad ramifications. I believe as rookies they are made aware of harmful things, but, guys don't listen because it's a business and they want the edge to stay ahead. As the bald man is always looking for the hair remedies, no matter the health risks.
  19. Having a BIG line won the Super Bowl in 2000. Arguably, the best D ever. Having both Pierce and Williams in on goal line stands, is pretty intimidating. On the other hand, I hope the big contract doesn't come back to bite us.
  20. Webb, played 8 years for the Ravens and played very well in his early years. If not for Darrelle Revis, Nnamdi Asomugha, and Champ Bailey's of the world , I believe he could have made several Pro Bowls. However, injuries come and having a smaller frame hurts your chances of survival in the rugged NFL, especially in the brutal, hard hitting AFC North. That being said, you really have to salute him for his grand efforts.
  21. Woodhead is going to make hypocrites out of all doubters on this board. They currently have no knowledge of his football skills and IQ.
  22. Woodhead will quickly become a fan favorite. He has soft hands, can get open and is a smart, tough player. However, I really wanted Christian McCaffrey in the draft and this move appears to have muted that move. I believe McCaffery will be an NFL great, from day one! Disappointing :(
  23. FYI : This is from your Db thread in the forum section Posted November 5, 2016 ยท Report post lets get down to it. im not big on most of the first round cb's, i have a negative bias of bama corners, im not a huge fan of jalen tabor, im up and down on adoree jackson, however, i LOVE desmond king, pretty big fan of tre'davious white, king is a mid first prospect atm and white is late first-early second. IF we land in the top 10, adoree jackson is the only one i would take, i think all of the first round cb's aside from king will end up overdrafted. second round, i like sidney jones and quincy wilson, great value picks for both of them. as for safeties, i havent looked into malik hooker yet, but as much as i love jabrill peppers i think he represents a lot of what we dont need, we dont need another tweener who is just average in coverage and likely too small to play his college role in the NFL. i see desmond king as a very viable safety, i dont like marcus maye at all. proceed... I guess things changed, was it a peek of film or mocks from paid draft evaluators?
  24. I said that's pretty decent (positive point) and compared him to the greats. I rate him a second round pick due to my acquired info and observation. You have a Db thread, where you rank him the same...so lighten up.
