  1. I concur
  2. It hurts watching Shepard and Diggs play so well, when they could have been Ravens. Our Scouts have no clue what a good receiver looks like. Good thing there is free agency, or we would be up the creek. Washington has a few Wr's and a great Te...hint hint. We need to have a legit game plan against them, better than the one we put together for Crabtree.
  3. OHHHH no doubt! What a huge mistake! I am still pissed about that cut. Not to mention not drafting Sterling Shepard.
  4. The Good: Giving West the start. (FINALLY) The Bad: Harbs not fearing Janikowski's long range kick, ending with us giving up "6"!!!! The Ugly: Toss up between our O- line play (Castillo get to work) and our D-coverage on Crabtree ( Coaches need to read the Ravens forum posts- we stated he was the one to cover all week).
  5. I am hopeful that Timmy Jernigan will be our big play maker. Getting after Carr will definitely help our corners. Jernigan looks like the real deal. He has been very consistent getting after the Qb and I'm praying for his continued success.
  6. We need better play calling, without the 3 and outs. Our running game has been ineffective, so we need more easy play tosses for Joe to keep the Offense on the field. Pretty simple as NE and Philly have shown us the way. We have a big play offense that has come up short so far.
  7. Jimmy on Crabtree worked in the Super Bowl, so I expect to see them matched up again. I especially see them matched up in the red zone, where Crabtree has been the Raiders scoring target, as of late. Cooper requires someone like Young with Webb over the top.
  8. I believe West starts and sees most of the workload. Forsett clearly hasn't been running effectively and hasn't shaken a defender all season. We will only start 2 rb's along with Juice per game, so West needs to prove his worth this week, as Dixon takes the field in week 5.
  9. It's clearly time for West to be handed the ball 20 times a game.
  10. I am really diggin' Pierce. He's like a bull in a china shop!
  11. Correct! My mistake, it's Brandon Williams contract year. We should have extended him.
  12. Simple answer: Contract year! To bad we didn't extend his contract before the season. Gonna be costly now!
  13. I'm feeling a high number of carries for West, ought to do the trick.
  14. I'm worried about Hurns and Robinson. They could have breakout games against our corners. We need to get pressure on Bortles early and often. Our offense should have a good game against their suspect defense.
  15. Jimmy has been sporadic over the years. We gave him top money to be that shut down corner, and he's not. He is great against a big Wr like a Brandon Marshall, but, when he is covering fast and shifty guys like Coleman, I am scared to death when the ball is thrown his way. He needs help over the top and plays to far off top receivers. All in all, we have no replacements yet, so we must cover his weaknesses until a replacement can be drafted or acquired. At that point, he will be a dominant #2 corner.
  16. Bad/ Ugly: Soooo painful to watch Jimmy Smith play without help. He is going to get smoked by AJ Green and Brown if there is no double team. / Watching Perriman fight for underthrown, but, contested balls. Good: More time for both, the offense and defense to jell together. More time for the coordinators to really evaluate players and draw up better game plans, as other teams just saw that atrocity we call a win.
  17. I definitely agree that we must get young. Having Sheppard we wouldn't need Camp/Reynolds and would have SSS replacement next year. Also, Butler would be still on my roster. Giving me Wallace, Perriman, Shepard, Butler and maybe Aiken moving on. But it's all in hindsight.
  18. After game 1, still regret the move.
  19. We had Sterling Shepard sitting there in this years draft and opted for Correa. I say we will regret that move.
  20. If Smith was placed on IR (until really healthy), the receiver corps would be Aiken, Wallace and Perriman. Butler would be the next man up and the red zone target. Moore would be insurance for Wallace and Perriman. Next year, Smith is retired on a beach somewhere, Aikens taking the cash route out, leaves us with the youngest receiving squad in our history: Perriman, Moore, Butler with veteran leader, Wallace.
  21. Okay, got it, experience doesn't matter.
  22. Let's see ........ Aikens and Wallace. Who are the others you rank above Butler with NFL experience?
  23. There is no way Smith is even close to 100%. This is the NFL, you have to make tough and the right decisions for you football team now and moving forward. The right decision was to keep Butler. Having Smith comeback later in the year, when is is closer to 100% could have provided the spark needed to carry us to making the playoffs and beyond. I really love the guy, but, you really have to make sensible minded decisions if you really want to win and not just appease the fan base.
  24. Butler signs with Tampa. I guess he felt disrespected, which he should. When you play hard and outplay others, you deserve a job. I would have put SSS on IR ( option to return) and kept Butler.
