OK, is breshad going to be in Kevin white status? Or is he OK for preseason #2?
Any news about our rookie WR?
He's got a bone bruise, so he'll definitely not be having season ending surgery like White. That being said, a bone bruise does take time to heal. Harbaugh said in his presser after practice yesterday that Perriman will be back sometime during TC, but they're not sure exactly when,
The last sentence in your second paragraph pretty much sums the whole fiasco up.
That's the problem with the Br*dy Bunch - there is quite a bit of evidence everywhere: text messages, phone calls, destroyed phones, deflated balls that environmental conditions alone can't explain. The absence of a "smoking gun" does not mean there isn't evidence...just ask Hernandez.
They must have seen something on an MRI to hold perriman out this long. Even us normal people wouldn't be out this long due to a bruised knee and there is no way possible Harbs and the doctor are this shallow with communication.
Not really. A bone bruise takes time to heal, longer than a tissue bruise. Google it - the healing time is longer than you probably think.
are you kidding me? That doesn't sound right.
Nope, not kidding...I just posted the full ratings over on the game discussion (not game day) thread if you're interested.
well i didnt see the 2nd half, but the little bit that i did see from him.. wow. not only was he playing horrible, but even the look on his face had me sayin "what the hell is wrong with this guy?!" lol
Oddly, he was the third highest rated defender by PFF
...and the defense:

Here are the offense's PFF ratings for the game, for those of you who are interested in them:

Don't know if it was updated or something but it looks like Double J is going to be at that game
Yeah it was, originally it had Heap (in place of Flacco) for the Seahawks game, and the Chiefs game was missing.
Double J!
Anyone notice the picture with B Williams with the Special olympian? HOLY OMG his shoulders and arms looks like he could tackle a California Redwood.
He's a big dude alright...

I agree to some extent, but they're at the practices and can actually see if Brown is running w/ the 3rd team and getting limited reps.
That's true, but the issue I have is that they don't know why a player is running with the threes. Perhaps Harbs wants to get an extended look at another player while also giving the "demoted guy" some reps. It could be as simple as a guy is playing bad, too. Again, I think we'll all have a better idea after a few preseason games - we'll be able to see his playing time and his actual play on the field.
i do too but the writing seems to be on the wall for arthur brown. he flashed in very limited opportunities as a rookie, looked good in preseason, but has gotten absolutely nothing, not even the slightest hint of confidence from anyone in the coaching staff, he is just lost in the crowd and forgotten it seems.
You could be right - there really hasn't been a whole lot said about him this year. I figure we'll get a better idea after a couple of preseason games.
i dont get it..
am i the only one who thought arthur brown looked really good last preseason?
I take everything the sportswriters and bloggers say with a big grain of salt. They have about as much insight into the Ravens roster as I do sitting in my living room down here in Texas.
Motion passes. Jealousy approved.
Not me really, Boykin is basically the same player as Arrington - good in the slot.
It's telling that he wanted to play on the outside, but Philly didn't want him out there.
"Come up with their own science?" Really.

LOL, do the Pats Fan Junior Lawyers and Science Brigade (PFJLSB) have someone watching every forum from each NFL team so that someone can make a post as soon as a comment is made on a thread about the Patriots?
Anyone catch this?
Basically Richie Incognito doesn't think Ted Wells or Roger Goodell does things fairly. We knew this about Goodell. But Wells is not some "independent" investigator. Say what you will about Incognito, but I always thought he was unfairly treated. I think his whole case was a pile of crap. Anyways, I still think Brady is a cheater! But the process is certainly more than flawed. I wonder if Incognito's revealings will have any impact in the legal case for Brady?
Sour grapes because he was caught. Won't impact anything.
Let's see if we can catch lightning in a bottle again and send him out with the ring he deserves!
Bruce Gradkowski is their backup.
Yeah, but he's on the PUP with a back or shoulder issue.
Yeah right, that's what they wanted everyone to think. No way they'll admit that the Ravens traded up and picked the guy they wanted. Golston may be out for awhile as well.
Yeah, you could tell it took them totally by surprise, or they wouldn't have taken the entire allotted time to pick Golston. I thought at the time, it looked like they moved their entire draft one round up as a result of us taking Williams.
Jessie James with two big drops. One was a TD and the other was an INT. So yeah they're really missing that Maxx Williams pick in the 2nd round right about now.
I seem to recall a lot of talk that they wanted Golston in the 2nd all along, and got the TE the really wanted in James. Glad that worked out for them lol.
I have.
A bone bruise isn't a joke. I thinks Harbs needs to settle down and stop abusing his players..it's hard enough to get through a season healthy..if players are getting injured at such a rate and they are only 1 week into camp then there is a big issue here and i don't like this nonchalant interview Harbs gives after interviews which may sound like looking at the positive but the reality is while not all can be avoided i do think going at such a pace in the first week of camp and having well over 28 injuries since it is a sign that this is not the best way to go about it. For bleeps sake we are 4 weeks away from the start of the season and we already have a ridiculous injury list..harbs is stubborn though and i could see him faking a big smile on his face until he realizes..oh snap we have no team left..
i don't believe in going in like this at training camp..i don't think it makes players better..games do..save it for the games.
Never let the facts get in the way of a good overreaction, or the opportunity to levy an unfounded criticism.
You do realize that before the current CBA a few years ago, every training camp included two-a-days in pads. Anyone who considers the most rigorous practices in the current CBA "abusing players" is simply talking out of his/her rear end.
But yeah, a player falling on his knee after making a catch = coaching staff abuse
- a player getting poked in the eye = coaching staff abuse
- a player getting stepped on = coaching staff abuse
- a player tearing a bicep in a non-contact drill = coaching staff abuse
- and so on.
Just look at the list of injuries I posted from the Steelers camp so far to gain some perspective.
Yes, it is easy for us to let these injuries get to us, because we know the players and have hopes for all of them. We know our team and know them well.
It is kind of hard to know whether we're experiencing anything better or worse than other teams, without looking closely at all teams training camps (which I'm not willing to do). Players on other teams who are at the same level as the guys we've lost... we likely wouldn't recognize their names.
I posted this about a week ago, and haven't updated this, but our injury situation doesn't seen nearly as bad when compared to what the Steelers have gone through:
Senquez Golson CB: shoulder
Mike Mitchell FS: ankle
Shamarko Thomas SS: shoulder
Martavis Bryant WR: elbow infection
Maurkice Pouncey C: leg
Ryan Shazier ILB: shoulder
Gerod Holliman S: leg
Ross Ventrone S: ankle
Cortez Allen CB: shoulder
Jarvis Jones OLB: bicep
Bruce Gradkowski QB: back
Josh Harris RB: shoulder
Steve Mclendon DT: shoulder
DeAngelo Williams RB: shoulder
Mike Adams OT: back
Think another "2012 mutiny" over practice might be coming?
No.
yeah a 36 year old beast who has no business recovering so fast from that serious of an injury lol.
if ray could do it then i believe urban could do it, but i believe that the pup is not an option for urban since brooks and pitta are on it already. i think urbans just gonna have to miss the season
The PUP was never an option for Urban since he practiced during training camp. They still could, however, put him on the IR designated to return list.

To give credit where credit is due, Schaub threw the ball from between midfield and the Ravens 45 (say the 48 to be conservative), and Camp caught it at the 21 - so that's 31 yards right there. He also threw it from the hash mark to the numbers, which is about 11 yards. Using a bit of math, the ball went about 33 yards in the air.
