  1. Ride in them? My father owns a ZR1 and he used to own a 2002 and 2006 Viper Coupe. I've put a few hundred miles on all 3. That being said, I've DRIVEN them.

Like I said, performance wise... the Viper maims the ZR1. The Viper wasn't designed to be a nice Sunday sports car. It was designed to be a all out track car that you can legally drive home and park in your garage.

If you want a comfortable car with power steering, ABS, cool air conditioning and won't require a visit to the chiropractor after a spirited drive... then you want the ZR1. If you can't zip the zipper on your pants because your cojones are so big, you sweat bullets when it's 30 degrees outside, and you once beat up Chuck Norris... then you want a Viper.

The point you were trying to make was about performance figures, not drivability.

Give us some car comparision ratios to prove to us that the Viper is bit

    better.

  2. The performance numbers are almost a wash though. BTW, a ZR1 has done 10.5 stock.... The FASTEST ACR in the country is I could find is an 11.0 1/4 mile... The FASTEST STOCK Z06, NOT a ZR1 went 10.8. The guy owns both a z06 and an ACR. Look up Jaime Furman. Heck, rangerZ06 ran 10's 3 years ago with a Z06. The Viper is less consistent do to it's archaic V10 and LAME rear diff gearing.

Corvette is better then the viper, but the main difference is body weight. The Viper is just a heavier car.

  3. Dang what the heck is that? It looks like an Audi in the fist picture.

And are you kidding 549, the ZR1 would SPANK a Viper.

The reason for the Camaro is there are only going to be so many made, ole man doesn't want what everybody else has.

Have you guys heard of the Ed Withacre edition Camaro?

Drop top top of the line!

  4. I do agree as a collectible car, it is sweet.

And true it would hold it's value pretty nicely.

Why not get a lightly used Viper? Those can be had for $50K and you will have a car that stops traffic!

Because you can tweak the latest model superchargers to out perform the old. The viper is unstoppable!

  5. When I get my degree from Harvard (County Community College) I'm going to become the CEO of GM.

The Ceo of GM has dual responsibilities. He is the Chairmen of the Board along with being ceo of the company. Basically a lot of Veto power.

I would be the Ceo of Dodge,Chrysler and Jeep. It is an even bigger mess then GM was. According to Daimler Benz they backed out from the Merger with Chrysler because of the work ethic of the company. How sad is that?

  7. Easy on the ML320 McLovin! I love that truck. I've only had mine for a couple months now, so I dont have any problems to report yet, but I will concede that it has gotten quite the rep for being an unreliable dog.

If you mean it's atrocious in reliability, cant argue that. But considering it's purpose, it's an awesome truck/suv.

I would rather have a "Toyota Prius" then an ML320 even though the ML320 looks better. To me it's a waste of a big car no power...

  8. 95' 740iL in silver... quite possibly one of the best looking cars of all time. A shame a new BMW's look like crap.

I ordered the Hennessey 6.3L engine software update about a week and a half ago, arrived yesterday. I had them ship me a new core and I'll mail the one out of my car back once I do the instal. Pretty painless procedure, couple screws and three wires With my exhaust and headers combo it adds roughly 35hp and 40lb tq. Going to be doing 2 dyno runs next weekend.

Should put me around 600 horsepower and 560 lb torque. According to TorqueStat (plug and play gps performance calculator, it records as you accelerate) I pulled 0-60 times yesterday, which are 100% accurate, of 4.02, 3.96 and 3.92. I wonder how the numbers will be effected after I upgrade the engine software.

Not bad for a 3,800 lb 4 door luxury sedan.

German cars and Germain maintenance cost is not all that it cuts out to be.

My humblest opinion the electrical problems doesn't help the case for German engineering.

    Driving Euro= overrated....

  9. I'll need to check into that. This winter instead of putting my car away, I am going to truck it off for a mild cam upgrade and SC install. The Maggi is what most guys are going with. But overall it is very subdued.

To me, there is no better sound than a Whippled 03-04 Cobra!

Here is a video of the G8's sister, Vaxhaull. It will show you what I am looking for sound-wise. Heaven to the ears......

Oh, this is wonderful it reminds me of the 06 GTO...

  10. You can also add a high pressure turbo set up and make a four seated civic run 120 trap speeds.

But i'd still prefer a ZR1 over it.

    Lol

After I saw the stats on this one car.

I was about to change my name from Ravenmore to ZL575!!!!!

  11. Both recent GT500's have SVT emblems all over them. My 08' had 12 to be exact.

Technically speaking, according to Ford- the Raptor, GT500 and SHO are SVT models (all in production currently).

I believe that the Cobra GT 500 won the last year episode of Bull run...

  12. The F-150 tows more, carries more, has more interior/exterior options, has a better engine/transmission, better brakes, completely flat behind the front seats, better frame, better crash safety ratings, better suspension, longer intervals between service and is worth 20-30% more when you go to sell it.

    Ford > Chevrolet > Dodge > Toyota

Ford F-150 is and always will be the best truck in it's segment.

Motortrend truck of the year goes to WHATEVER truck is new that year. They do it every year.

2010 Ram gets a refresh - truck of the year

2009 F-150 gets a refresh - truck of the year

2008 Tunda gets a refresh - truck of the year

2007 Silverado gets a refresh - truck of the year

2006 Ridgeline is released - truck of the year

2005 Tacoma gets a refresh - truck of the year

2004 F-150 gets a refresh - truck of the year

Motor-trend truck of the year is a COMPLETE JOKE- and anyone who uses them as a means of information towards a car purchase is a moron. Whomever refreshes their truck wins that year.

What about the design. If you compare the Chevy or the Sierra which is exactly the same darn thing. Looks much nicer from the outside/inside and I even asked the wifey which truck would she take F-150 or Sierra. "She said Sierra Denali 1/2 ton hands down."
