I chose Cook ultimately because I like what he can do when he's healthy & out of trouble. He's in a contract year and the Vikings did get rid of their star CB, who played very well but he's 35-yo, lol. I have no idea when those wheels fall off and at 35 that's a huge concern. I was very impressed with what I saw from Cook on the field. I try to consider all things when choosing players, because injuries & jail time mean the player's talent is irrelevant. In Cook's case, I felt like the risk was outweighed by the talent. I don't think the risk is as high as it was before, and it would appear that Cook is past that at face value. He has eliminated Calvin Johnson as well as any CB I've ever seen, and that's something. He's a big and physical nasty CB and I like that about him. He tends to play it safe and doesn't go for plays, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. Besides, I have ideas on that front.
