  1. It happens... im not saying it definitely means foul play. But it usually means either water was poured into the sample after the fact, the person taking the test drank a ton of water within 2 hours of the test, or the person has been taking a diuretic leading up to the test along with drinking a ton of water to clean their system and shed water weight. Yea, you could definitely just drink a lot of water by routine and have your urine come out that diluted. But in the NFL diluted is failing and puts you in the protocol. No way these players advisors are letting them do anything to risk coming up with a diluted sample if the player is clean. They prob make sure they dont drink any water 4-6 hours prior to the test to make sure of it. Im guessing though that some players decide that getting a failing test back that was diluted at least gives them plausible deniability and will hurt their draft stock less than an out right failure.... so they weigh the decision and pull for a diluted sample. Thatd be my guess here. But it certainly isnt a guarantee.
  2. And 2nd, 3rd, and 4th round draft picks. Which is the solution.... but only if they come from this draft? Makes sense.
  3. Diluted samples typically register as a positive. Because normally the only way you'd get a sample that diluted is by tampering, using some sort of diuretic, or way over hydrating.... why typically only happens when someone knows theyre going to test positive and are trying to hide it.
  4. The reality is most teams are in sub packages >60% of the time anyways... But i think hes a fit in any scheme. No reason he couldnt play ILB or OLB in a 3-4... and use him as a matchup guy on 3rd downs and in obvious passing situations. Try to get him a 1on1 with a TE or a slower RT and let him go to town. Thats his biggest value so thats what you want him doing on money downs... but hes got enough athleticism and versatility to play the run, blitz, or cover on early down to keep himself on the field.
  5. Yea - he dropped some 20 pounds going into this past season. He's played at a significantly bigger size than that though. He trimmed down for more speed/range. It def helped.
  6. pretty sure its based on PFF's grades, not strictly production (in terms of sacks, tackles, etc..).
  7. Prove it. This wasnt memory... i went through your post history. You literally did NOT type the word Perriman anywhere on this website prior to the draft. Not once.... unless it was hidden somewhere in a non-draft related thread. Everything i said was fact. And if youre going to call me a liar or spreading "half truths"..... prove it. Your post history is cataloged. And before i get the obvious -- wow, you must really care, digging so deep into my post history.... It took 5 minutes, tops. And, if you were so adamant about not taking Perriman before the draft it should take you less than that to find the posts and prove it.
  8. Ive cooled on all the CBs. Early on i thought for sure we'd be taking CB round 1 and wouldve been happy with any of Lattimore, Sidney Jones, Humphrey, or Wilson. Now i probably wouldnt be ecstatic if we took Lattimore.... depending on who else is available. Ive heated up on taking a WR at 16. At first I thought id only do it if several CBs, Barnett, Tim Williams and Charles Harris were off the board. Now, the only guy id take over Williams in that group is Barnett.... and ive opened up to taking Corey Davis.
  9. Here's the argument.... You dont draft for need. You take the best player. And if that player is a WR you take him. Would you pass up the opportunity to draft Khalil Mack or Mike Evans just to make sure we have Ricky Wagner back? If not, then you understand that there is a legitimate argument to taking pass rusher or WR in the first round and not an OL. btw... why is this posted here? This is about RB prospects.
  10. I believe 2nd pick. Looks like they're one of the teams that Charlie spoke with in the middle of round 1 that have Awuzie in the convo for their pick.
  11. RT: Lewis, De'Ondre Wesley, Nembot, and Hurst ILB: Correa, McLellan, Levine, Onwuasor, Cavellis Luckett, Boseko Lokombo, Lamar Louis 5T: Urban, Kaufusi, Willie Henry 3T: Pierce, Davis, Henry Wesley and Nembot are definitely intriguing. Remember we didnt know or think much about Wagner after 1 year. The coaching staff is excited about Correa. McLellan has proven he can play at least like an average starter -- prob wont make many plays but also wont hurt you bad. And Levine/Onwuasor both bring an interesting component with their coverage ability as dimebackers. And Luckett, Lokombo and Louis could be the next Orr... you never know. Urban was actually very productive on a per snap basis last year. Made a bunch of splash plays... blocking kicks, swatting passes, and getting pressure. Kaufusi with a full season now to get his core and lower body strength up could be a good sub package rusher. And Henry has size plus burst. We've seen nothing from him yet, but is full of upside. And Pierce may not be the slashing penetrator that Jernigan was at times, but he showed an ability to get in the backfield and make plays. Put him and Williams on the field together and you almost have to double both or youre asking for trouble. If they get 1on1's they're going to win, and if they get doubled that's going to open up the rest of the front 7 to get after it. If he's not bringing enough pass rush you give Henry a shot on 3rd downs to generate pressure. But youre not going to run up the middle with BWill and Pierce in there. We essentially have a 3rd round pick going to the 5T spot since Kaufusi didnt play last year. No different than using a 3rd this year on it. We essentially are using a 4th round pick on 3T since Henry wasnt needed last year. I think a combo of McLellan on early downs with Levine/Onwuasor in sub packages is the safe bet answer at ILB, with Correa providing the singular, high upside answer. And Wesley was really playing well last pre-season, he just got injured. We also have young guards, who if one of them proves to be one of the top 5 OL then you can kick Lewis out to RT. Plenty of young, day 2 early 3 draft picks that havent been given a chance that deserve it before we go wasting more picks when theres better players potentially available.
  12. Thats true, i forgot about him. I prob go Davis there too, hoping that i can grab a CB in round 2-3 bc i dont think the drop off is all that great from that top tier to the next.... whereas with WR i dont think theres any potential #1's beyond Williams/Davis.
  13. I could see there being a big run on CB's starting in the mid/late teens through to the 2nd round. Once Lattimore and Humphrey/Conley go, i think we're going to see a bunch of teams panic and start to grab guys and the teams that didnt get one in the Top 10 will want to get one early 2nd. Wouldnt shock me one bit if we see like Lattimore, Humphrey and Conley go top 14-18 picks... and then any number of Tre White, Chidobe Awuzie, Kevin King, Adoree Jackson, Sidney Jones, Quincy Wilson, Ahkello Witherspoon, Fabian Moreau, Tank, and Tabor all go off the board in a run in the top 50 or so picks. Hope not bc i dont want to have to grab a CB in the top 2 rounds.... hoping a good one falls to us in the 3rd. And while i think theres upside with some of the guys like Howard Wilson, Rasul Douglas, Cam Sutton, Kazee, Cutrer; id feel like we missed the boat once again if that was the crew we had left to pick from.
  14. There also wasnt much of an alternative with how it played out... All the top prospects were off the board including Barnett, Foster, Takk (i believe), Mike Williams. So without trading back as an option he was forced to go with Corey Davis, reach for a lower graded pass rusher, or grab an OL there... which probably is a reach too.
  15. It wouldnt surprise me, because that seemed to be the consensus when the tape was all anyone had to go on. It wasnt until the combine and pro days that you started hearing other names in the mix.
  16. I posted this somewhere else... but rumor is that a good portion of teams have Marlon Humphrey #1 or 2 on their board for CB's, and should be off the board in the first half of round 1. Chidobe Awuzie is apparently somewhat of a polarizing prospect where some teams in the mid-teens of the 1st round have said he's in the conversation for their pick, while others have a 3rd round grade on him.
  17. I live in the Philly market and a lot of the beat writers and local insiders dont expect the Eagles to touch McCaffery. A good portion of the fan base wants him bad, but most of the "experts" say they'd be shocked. I agree it makes a ton of sense... he reminds me a lot of Brian Westbrook who thrived in Andy Reids offense for years, and who has almost always preferred diverse backs that can catch the ball out of the back field or out of the slot. But Joe Douglas is running their draft board now... who is an Ozzie/Decosta disciple.... and McCaffery just doesnt feel like a pick theyd make that high. But who knows. Maybe Pederson and Roseman will over rule him.
  18. I disagree with those saying its optimistic that Wilson will be there in the 2nd.... id actually be surprised if he goes before that. Bowser is shooting up boards apparently. im not a huge fan and would prefer to address pass rusher with one of our top 2 picks. And while I think Bowser has more upside as a pure edge rusher than Ryan Anderson, id probably prefer Anderson there if available. I see him as a much safer bet to become a legit 3 down player at OLB for us.... bringing enough pass rush to stay on the field on the money downs. If it were me, and theres someone like Tim Williams, Charles Harris, Carl Lawson, Jordan Willis or TJ Watt there in the 2nd - i take the pass rusher there and wait til the 3rd for CB when hopefully some combination of Witherspoon, Sidney Jones, Fabian Moreau, Teez Tabor, Chidobe Awuzie, Howard Wilson should still be there. But thats just personal preference and not really an issue. My main issue is Pocic. While i think he can be a good player in the NFL, i dont see him doing so for us. Just doesnt fit the profile of what the FO and coaching staff has said they want on the OL. Hes much more Jeremy Zuttah, Rick Wagner, John Urschel than he is Yanda, KO, Jensen. And theyve said they want the latter. And 4th round and beyond is largely a crap shoot. Your best guess is as good as mine in terms of who will be there, who is value and who will pan out.
  19. Great idea... we wouldnt even be able to sign our draft picks at that point because all of Flacco's guaranteed money would accelerate as a dead cap hit this year and put us WAY over the salary cap. Brilliant.
  20. 4 QB's will be taken in the 1st round... and likely 3 before we're on the clock. 49ers, Jets, Browns, Cardinals, and Texans all need one. And the Jags, Bears, Steelers, Saints and Giants are all sleepers to pick one too imo. With that much competition and 4 pretty evenly rated players there will be a run on them at some point. I think 49ers take one, and the Jets are planning to which could cause the Browns to hop in front of them if the 49ers don't take their guy. And I think the Cards take Kizer. Which means more great prospects falling to us 😁 Remember once upon upon a time Cam Newton went 1st overall and then Blaine Gabbert, Jake Locker and Christian Ponder all went top 12. With Wentz and Dak last year, and guys like Carr, Bridgewater, Mariota, and Russell Wilson who weren't perfect prospects or rose up draft boards late in the process only to reward the teams that took the chance or burn the teams who felt they weren't worth the high 1st rd pick..... I see teams afraid to make the mistake and instead take the chance.
  21. Looks like we're rooting for almost identical drafts. Not a huge Moton fan... though I'd be plenty happy with Dion instead of a WR with that pick. Love my Temple guys.
  22. Maybe not incredibly bold but I actually think Teez Tabor is going to become a good CB and some team is going to get a steal if he drops to the 3rd/4th round. I also think Jordan Morgan becomes a 10+ year starter at OG with at least 2 Pro Bowls.
  23. Didn't he injure his back like in the 1st hour of the rookie only practices?? I don't think he was ever on the field practicing with the team where reporters would have seen him. Could be wrong on that though.
  24. Mine is either: Barnett Feeney Juju Witherspoon OR: Mike Williams Tim Williams Pat Elflein Ahkello Witherspoon
  25. You didnt single out anything before the draft. You definitely complained afterward... ill give you that. But actually before that draft the guy you singled out as a "please no" was Landon Collins, and equated him to Elam... and he was in the running for DPOY last year. Part of your reasoning was also how great Will Hill was. Hes da truth.... Lets also not forget how big of a bust you said Brandon Williams was, and how the 2014 draft was a clear indication of the FO admitting the failure of that pick. cmon dude... your memory of how you "nail" things is pretty far off. You do know there is a record, right? You never typed the word Perriman prior to the draft. Probably bc you never heard of him, which is why you didnt like the pick.
