  1. I wasn't exactly overjoyed with what the Ravens did in the first round. In today's NFL to pick a project at number one, is not exactly what that first pick is about. That being said, Humphreys isn't exactly a project, he could earn a starting position and excel. If that happens then Ozzie continues to look like the Wizzard we know him to be.J. Allen and Foster both haven injury issues, Howard I believe was already gone and we didn't really have a need at TE. Pepppers and a few others could have been picked and won starting positions on our defense. But in the last 3 -4 years out DB have been ravished with injuries knocking our ability to defend against the pass. I really can't knock this pick to give us four above average to great CB and 2 - 3 really good to great Safeties. It's already very difficult to run against our Def.

  2. At pick 16 I truly don't see Williams, Davis or Ross being available WRs at that point in the draft. I don't see OLB Foster or OT Robinson to be there at pick 16 either. I believe that Denver and/or NYG may leap frog over Us to get that OT. if not I expect a trade back to pick 20 or 23 plus an additional third pick giving us eight total picks. But I think that changes that first round pick to a Pass rusher DE or ISLB with Mosley. That !st round pick has to be a starter. It doesn't matter whether it's on the Offense or Defense. Anything less than you're paying first round money on a player who is expected to be a support player. Therefore if we don't use pick 16 ourselves or trade up to get a starter we might as well build up our 2nd, 3rd, and/or 4th round picks. This could be a far reach but the possibility exists for us to trade back two or three times in the first round picking up at least three more picks in that top 78 picks while still having a pick in the first round. Just imagine having two seconds, two thirds and three fourth round picks. The more I think about the possibilities of gaining more picks in this draft and still getting the people we are looking at is mind blowing. But the senarieos have tp fall just right.

  3. I don't normally get involved with trying to figure out who the Ravens or the Colts before them would do during the draft. However with only a total of seven picks this year. I envision that the Ravens will be making one of two moves with pick 16 this year. Currently They will have 4 of the top 78 picks, providing they don't trade up for anyone. The OL is a bigger need than the the DL. WR is a strong need maybe even just a strong desire. The DBs have been transformed from a weakness to a probable strength through off season signings. Currently they are trying to sign the ex-Jet. If they are truly looking at signing a FA WR i.e. Bouldin along with the Jet Center or even to patch those holes through FA. Then pick 16 is either an OT or a pass rusher to learn from Suggs or start with Mosley. A pass rusher to whom the Ravens are really after if available at pick 16 will be a Raven.. However, I believe that will not be the case. Nor do I believe that the OT that they are truly after is even going to go in the first round. I really think that Ozzie will trade down to get another draft pick or two with pick 16. That means another second or third round pick giving the Ravens 5 or possibly 6 picks in that first 78 picks. Then there are alot of things that the Ravens can do to fill the OL, DL and Pass rusher and still pick some help at CB and WR. Just to make things a bit more dicey We have 5 starting TEs. Strong enough to start on most NFL teams. There has already been interest in three of them from other teams in the league. One of those five can also play WR and has done well.Offering the possibility of another trade for a top round pick. If the Ravens actually use that 16th pick look for a trade of a TE to follow for second or third round or maybe even another fourth round pick in this draft. Just very interesting thoughts about this draft. Remember if we sign Boudin before the draft then we lose a compensatory pick in 2018 or 19. Boudin doesn't have that much of a future left in him. He's a one year patch verses a possible future of several years with a draft pick.

  4. Our heart and prayers to go up for The Heap Family. To loose a child at any age is tragic. But to loose one in the way your family has, I believe is the most tragic. We don't know why things happen as they do. We can only pray that in some small way that knowledge will come to you and give you peace. We lost our fifth child on Christmas Eve morning in 1978. I blamed myself because I wasn't home I was working overtime at work. I felt that it was my duty to sacrifice my time with the family to earn the money we needed .Everyone experiences their losses differently. We couldn't find peace. We were members of the Episcopal Church. But no peace. We started to attend a Spirit Filled Church we found peace. My fellow workers were so supportive, We were so young we didn't know how to show our appreciation. Our process took years. To this day, there are times when we are caught off guard and we relive the events of that Christmas Eve morning. And that will be 39 years ago this coming Christmas Eve morning. I pray that peace will come swiftly to Todd and Ashley and their other four children. The Lord says "Come unto Me All who are troubled and heavily burdened and I will give you rest." "Take My Yoke upon you and I will give you peace. Lay your sorrows upon Me and I will give you Joy unceasing." Our prayers are that God will lift this family and carry them through these difficult times. God says suffer not the little children, let them come unto ME. All of us are His Children. Todd and Ashley We pray that your child will RIP . I believe she is already home with the Lord.
