Yeah, I know where South Philly is: On this web site, moaning and groaning like all the Beagles fans that Iv'e known have done for years. Shame that some fans have gotten so jaded with having a winning football team that they scream bloody murder if things don't go exactly how they want them to. You know, not everybody has to drink purple kool-aid to support this team. Anyone who watches the games know the Ravens have flaws; but anyone who watches the NFL should realize that so do the other 31 teams. Til we're mathmatically eliminated, I'm pulling for the Ravens, and am proud they are still playing meaningful games in late December.

haha give it a rest! Ozzie and the FO's ability to draft quality players are the reason we have been the in playoffs 6 of last 8 years! Those two non-playoff seasons were post SB when everyone retired or got over paid and 2015 when we played with back ups. 90% of the league would give an arm and leg to have the success the Ravens have had the past 8 years Yea, I have a good friend that moved down here from Jersey so he's a Philly fan. He always asks, "what the heck are you Ravens fans PO'ed about, we'd kill for the kind of success you've had. Quit whining!" Weddle is not the problem. I shudder to think where this team would be without him. And I disagree with you that we can't play against the top tier teams; We just can't WIN against them. The Raven's have played close in all their losses, but usually between stupid penalties at inopportune times and lack of commitment to the running game, it has cost us big time. So if we quit beating ourselves, we'd look like a much better team.

Not to worried about Smith missing the Beagles game. Can you even name one of their WR's? You think we've had O-line problems, I believe Philly is on their fifth tackle this year. And Wentz is going to see a defense like he's not seen all year. Add in the fact that the Raven's are seriously P.O'ed about losing to the Pat's, and it's our final home game, and I would expect a serious blow out. Now I agree that if Smith can't suit up on Christmas Day against Antonio Brown we are probably in deep, deep trouble. Hopefully the extra week's rest will help him get at least close to game shape.

The combination of stupid penalties at inopportune times and lack of commitment to the running game has cost us at least two, maybe three games this year. Kind of hard to make the play-offs, much less win in the post season, beating your own self to death.

The pat's Cyrus Jones is just as bad as Hester has been this year. So no, I think they just wanted to see if Hester's problems were a psychological issue playing with Baltimore, or if he was just washed up physically.

Glad the Ravens are getting "feisty"...Despite all the different scenario's, it's basically win the next three or go home. Don't depend on anyone else - Do your job and you'll reap the benefits. And we're not going to get anywhere without some fire in the player's eyes. It's seemed like the Ravens have been playing pretty lackadaisial all season...Now we'll see if they can actually turn it up a notch with their backs to the wall.

Morny is still better than Trestman. And the Bungles should have beaten the Squeelers in the play-offs last year except for a total meltdown by their defense. So no, I wouldn't say the Squeelers "own" them. Especially if Green can play. The yellow and black's defense is still suspect.

We lost by 7 points. If anything, it give me hope, considering we played like garbage basically the whole game and it was a single possession game at the end. If that's a laugh-er....I cant wait till we blow out the eagles by 3 points HA! Very true. People tend to skim over the fact that all our losses have been to winning teams, and all have been really close games. Except the Jets game. That was an unexcusable loss that could easily be looked back upon as the game that will kill us this year.

DId you watch the game? We were in it until the very end, despite a horrible first half. Obviously, I am very disappointed that we lost and how we played for much of the game, but to say it was an "easy win" by the Patriots is "a laugh-er" I bet the Patriots are hoping they don't see us again in the playoffs! We are nowhere near the same team that went to New England in 2012 and 2013. Brady will dissect us all day just like he did Monday night. They put us back in the game with two terrible plays on special teams. "They put us back in the game with two terrible plays on special teams." Why do we not get credit for forcing a fumble. I'll give you 1 terrible play by Cyrus, but we EARNED that second turn over, just like they earned their blocked kick. Dude didn't drop it. We forced it out. Special teams are just as important as offense and defense, and the plays made in those situations are often the most pivotal. I hate the thought process of "oh if it weren't for these special teams plays". It's part of the game. That's why our head coach, and BB for that matter, were special teams guys. Wow, a voice of reason...thank you, You would think that Ravens fans would realize that we have one of the better special teams units in the NFL, but some people just don't realize the importance of special teams. Nice optimistic post. Hard to see the Squeelers dropping two divisonal games in a row, but anything could happen. Unlikely scenario, but certainly the best thing that could happen for the Ravens.

And for 6 of those 8 years, you watched Flacco lead the Ravens in the play-offs including winning a SB. SMH....Some people are just miserable pessimists Agreed. However, it is a point worth mentioning that time management is obviously something that both Harbs & Flacco have struggled with since coming to the Ravens. It's something that does occasionally come back and bite us. I think it's to late to expect drastic changes in the way they manage the clock, but it certainly is frustrating at times.

He was great at Florida.... I used to watch him there and completely understand why he was a 1st round pick. I was happy when we drafted him. The guy is not a terrible player, but he's not what the team or fans envisioned he would be. Maybe a change of scenery would help him.

As long as we don't have to give up a home game I'm all for playing in London...nice to show the fans across the pond how a real NFL team looks.

how many safeties drafted in the first round are capable of locking down receivers in 1 on 1 coverage? No ones saying he needs to be a lock down safety...he just needs to be able to provide decent pass coverage and open field tackling, which he has not shown on a consistent basis. I keep saying he's good against the run, he simply looks out matched when it comes to passing downs. Watch some film. Does he show flashes of being good? Sure. A blind pig will find an acorn in the forest every now and then. But overall he gets beat way to often, and takes bad angles when trying to make tackles. And the guy is not a rookie, so you expect that he is what he is ever going to be: Good run defender but can be burnt on passing downs. Not saying he can't play in the NFL, but it's unrealistic to think he's going to morph into something he's not.

There are lots of 1st rounders that are "ok" players in the NFL. Then there are guys that are awesome. If one doesn't fit "your" description or expectation, that doesn't make him a bust. I'm just sayin. I've seen guys play for us that are hammered here on these boards for being no good, or a bust, go to other teams and flourish. He is much improved since Weddle has gotten here. That has been spoken of on numerous occasions. Yes, he's fine in running situations...but a liability on passing downs. I think by most standards a first round pick is expected to be a full four down player, which he has not shown. I'm not trying to demonize him, I think he can play in this league, just that he has not, nor do I think he ever will, live up to the expectations that he was projected to be. And I don't think he would flourish on another team. He is what he is: A decent but not overall reliable player who can stuff the run. If he was picked in the mid rounds, he'd be an o.k. enough find. As a first rounder, he's what you'd call a disappointment if not a full fledged bust. Of course, everyone is entitled to their opinions, but I don't see the Ravens re-signing him unless he comes dirt cheap with a whole lot of incentive bonuses. And even that may be a stretch.

The clock management problem has been an issue since Harb's became head coach, so I don't see that going away. Remember, he studied under Andy Reid, A great coach who can't manage the clock if his life depended on it. You can cover it up sometimes, but it's always going to be there, and unfortunately something that Flacco seems pretty nonchalant about also. So no surprise there. Yet once again, penalties hurt us. A reoccuring issue that just won't go away and manages to bite this team when it seems to hurt the most. Please, just go ahead and cut Hester. It hurts to watch a once great player look like he's clueless out on the field. We need to find a return man for next year, so why not start the auditions now? There has to be a young gun on this team who can fill the position better than an aging veteran who has clearly lost a step. And while I'm not going to blame Elam for the long touchdown, it's pretty obvious by now that he is detrimental on passing downs. Good player vs. the run, but obviously shouldn't be on the field full time. Sorry, not what we expected from a first round draft pick, and I don't see him becoming worthy in the next three games.

do you even understand what you are saying? how can 1 blow a coverage he is not responsible for? weddle was responsible for the deep coverage not elam. as a defender you are supposed to stick to what your assignment is and not freelance. elam did what he was told and weddle did not. Folks are always looking for a "reason" to blame Matt. Elam succeed??? That would go against the very message they have been trying to drive home for 3 years... that he's a bust. (Which he isn't). Sorry to disagree with you, but Elam definately fits the description of a "bust"...I'm not throwing all the blame on him for the long touchdown last night, but overall he just is not a very good player when it comes to defending the pass. I thought they looked like crap. Bell won't get away with that hanging behind the line and waiting for a hole strategy against Baltimore and CJ Mosely will shut him down in the passing game. To me Ben looked like he could throw a pick on every other throw. Although he had little pressure, his passes were off mark, intercepted or barely snagged by his receivers. Personally, we can beat the pants off that Steelers team that showed up for the Buffalo game in my opinion. Patriots will be tough but everyone else is a pushover as far as I am concerned. Eagles looked weak, Steelers looked worse and the Bengals are happy just to not be the team to lose to the Browns. Home or Away, we can dominate the remaining 4 games and be set as the division winner in the first round of the playoffs. I am calling for a Ravens big lead here, Brady coming back but the Ravens holding on at the end. watched that Steelers game and IMO they did not look like crap. Bad weather made the passing game tough for Ben. It remains to be seen if our defense can stop their running game, as it currently exists. The Steelers OL holds on most plays which is why Bell can sit back and wait for an opening. The Steelers OL engages and grabs/holds on creating the gaps. The Squeelers may not have played awful, but they didn't look like world beaters either. And our D shut them down enough for a win last time we played them, actually the last four times we played them. If the Ravens play at top form, we can knock the Squeelers around at will.

Same here. I am scare and I don't have a good feeling about the Dec 25 game at Pitts. I think we have to win tonight and win the eagle game. Hopefully Bengals will drop the Steelers. Then even if you loose at Pitts, we will win the division by winning at Bengals. That Jets loss was a total killer. Why on earth we should lose to that Jets team. No excuse that we should lost to them. Every team in the league has at least one loss that more than likely they should have won...it's called parity, something the NFL has been pushing for a long time.

Are they better w/Gronk, no doubt. Thinking they're easy to beat w/out Gronk, is fool's gold. That being said, If anyone can beat them in Foxborougn, it's the Ravens. You're making stuff up. Brady's numbers dipped dramatically without Gronk last year. The year before, he was flat out horrible until Gronk got healthy. I saw a stat on TV, and since Gronk has been with NE, Brady's comp % without Gronk is 57.5 and his qb rating goes from well over 100 with him to 84.4 without him. Go to ESPN.com and look at his career stats. In the 8 years without Moss or Gronk, Brady's numbers are solid, but nothing special. The last time we played them without Gronk, we held them to 13 points, Brady threw 2 picks and we shut them out in the 2nd half. That was with a mediocre defense. In eight years without Moss or Gronk, Brady managed to win three super bowls...so what exactly is your point?

Um, it's been half a dozen years ago, but the first playoff game we played in Foxboro we went up there and whipped the Pats badly (Ray Rice chewed them to pieces as I recall). Just saying.
