Agree that King will be a factor in the NFL. Could also be converted to safety if need be. Curious if the Raven's would draft him if they pick up one of the top CB's with our first round pick, however. Nice post advocating him in any case.

DeCosta is going nowhere. The Raven's are actually paying him GM money already, he has super strong ties to Baltimore, Biscotti & Newsome have total faith in him, etc. etc....And really, would he want to go neck deep into the mess that Irsay has created in Indy? My guess is "no way!"

Big Ben is actually a pretty nice guy. He's had a lot of concussions and im sure that's playing into his decision. Sure, ask some of the women he's assaulted how "nice" a guy he is...He's the steriotypical jock who thinks he is better than everybody else. Listen to not only how he speaks, but his reactions to media questions. He feel's he's above the "common" people. Arrogant jerk, period. He pretends injuries like no other QB, because he want's all the attention focused on him. And as for concussions, he had the fewest times sacked last year in his career. Look it up. Just more melodrama from someone who has to have the attention on himself, rather than answer why his team couldn't beat the Pat's and contend for another Super Bowl.

This is the type of football player you want your children to emulate. Such a blow for the Raven's not only losing a rising star, but a man with a whole lot of class. With his attitude and determination, I'm positive that he will succeed in whatever endeavor he puts his mind to. You will be remembered in Baltimore, brother.

Very saddened to hear this...Orr was fast becoming one of my favorite Raven's. I am glad that he was blessed to find out his condition before he had a serious injury. He always came across as a hard working man, so I would fully expect him to find success in what ever endeavor he undertakes now that he is retiring. Harbaugh's lack of a great network (being a special teams coach and because he has only coached on 2 NFL teams) and the fact that he is fiercely loyal even if at the cost of improvement means he'll promote from within. I think you are failing to consider both his father who is well entrenched and his brother, who is still getting NFL coaching offers, then yes he is limited. But he has already shown he has no problem hiring people who coached for both his brother and his father which opens up a number of quality coaches in the NFL. It doesn't matter, to the naysayers, Harbaugh could have gone to the playoffs 9 years in a row and won a super bowl and some of these so-called Ravens fans would want him fired because he only won one super bowl in 9 tries. Everyone wants to win every year and if the fans had their way, only Bellicek would have a job and 31 other coaching jobs would be terminated for lack of production. Thank goodness the fans don't run things. Well said. And I personally know Pat's fans who have complained about Bellicek being out of touch after some of his rare play-off losses and want him fired and a new coach brought in to "shake things up". So you'll NEVER please some fans, no matter how good they've got it. Sad.

I like that idea Greek, Start Perriman and Wallace. Moore is definitely worth keeping as a 4th. So if Aiken goes, which he probably will, the idea of picking up a 5-8 year Vet is a good one. Some times teams just dont have the room to keep them. I would consider a guy like Jeremy Maclin who went to KC and had his best 2 seasons after leaving the Eagles, then this year drops off mainly due to less targeting. The guy has plenty in the tank and would be a great #2/3 for the Ravens organization. Keep your eye on him or the likes of Pryor, Jeffrey, or even work a trade for someone like a Travis Benjamin or Tavon Austin where teams have receiver options. I like the idea, but hate the idea of Tavon or Benjamin. Maclin could be good, but risky imo. He's not a physical guy or a guy that can win 50-50 balls either. Someone will overpay him. Jefferey is super risky, but maybe worth it. But I like the idea of Pryor. Kendall wright may be a sweet fit too, though I really don't want to ever see "wright" on the back of a Ravens jersey again. never did Ha-Ha, guy can't help what his last name is! And he probably would be a nice addition. Pryor might fit the bill also. DeSean Jackson would be up there on my list additionally, though I heard he may want to go back to Philly. Unfortunately, we all know that drafting WR is Ozzie's major flaw, although maybe (hopefully!) Perriman and Moore will change that perception. Agree we need to get some more players in the mix in any case.

1: Gronk is an almost generational type player who only comes around once every few years. You basically just have to get lucky in the draft. 2: Depends on what type of system your team is running. The Pats offensive scheme runs through Gronk, so you'd have to implement that type of offence. 3: We already have, like, how many TE's? You think we need to draft another?

I must disagree on one point. In reality this is not Mr. Bisciotti's team. This team belongs to the city of Baltimore's citizens who paid for that expensive stadium on the backs of young students that have crap for schools. Why; because tax money can only do so much. Not to mention the police who direct traffic and protect fans, etc. This team belongs to every fan that buys tickets, buys t shirts, sweat shirts and all manner of overpriced junk with the Ravens logo across the US and abroad. For every fan who watches on local TV or must pay for NFL Sunday Ticket out of state and all the other cable scams and then still must endure 2 + hours of inane commercials (that mightily fill the Ravens Org. bank account). Then this Web site that has the audacity to force users to endure more commercials to watch a replay, really dude? I'm sure I haven't even scratched the surface. The final insult, raise ticket prices; priceless. I have no idea what MR B. paid for this team but; you can bet he’s made millions maybe even a billion. All that being said, he the FA, the coaches, the players, grounds keepers etc., all of them answer to us. Consumers(fans) to not understand their power. We pay for everything either directly or inadvertently. Our reply to this should be ok, but; we as fans are going to stop buying all manner of Ravens Junk, maybe skip a few games, and do whatever small thing possible to reduce the Ravens Organizations spending money until this crap gets fixed. I kwow football but you don't have two ,to see our coaches cost us games every year those are FACTs from a smart fan not a troll and if someone doesn't see that you don't know football I'm assuming you "know" football, not k-wow it. And when you use the number two, is that how many coaches you're upset with? Smart fans have seen every single coach, from Lombardi to Parcells to Bellicheck make questionable calls that have lost their team's games. It's an NFL fact. Not saying I'm 100% happy with Harb's play calling: his clock management is virtually non-existant, the commitment to the run game baffling, and I have always questioned his ability to "slam the door shut" at times in games. But just because I don't want to blow up the entire team doesn't mean I don't "know" football. Firing the GM, the entire coaching staff & the majority of the players,which so many on here THINK they want (and trolls actually do) will give satisfaction for about 24 hours, til it kicks in that we will be a non-competitive football team willing to accept many long years of losing football.

Take a look at Suggs? O.K., he's the best pass rusher on the team right now, and that's after basically missing the 2015 season & playing 2016 with one arm. All for getting younger at the position, but right now who would step in to fill his shoes? Unless we go out and throw a bunch of money at expensive veterans, no one on the team or in the draft have the credentials to take his place. Not saying we won't get better, but right now he's the most solid contibutor we have at the position. I'll take a T-Sizzle running on fumes, especially looking at his performance this season, over an inexperienced player trying to fill the void that's left if we cut him. Not saying a rookie draft pick COULDN'T come on gang busters, but that's a big maybe...Right now, I'd stay with the experienced veteran over unproven talent.

Keep T-Sizzle...Dude plays with heart & bleeds purple and black. Still enough gas in the tank to get after the QB, plays through injury, vocal leader, veteran presense...what more can you ask of him? Probably deserves a pay raise more than a pay cut.

Anyone who is even suggesting that we keep K. Lewis, for any reason, has not been watching Raven's games the last two years or is certifiably insane. Even the dude's immediate family would have to agree that he has been a shell of what he once was. Not even worried about saving 1.8 million, would pay that just to see him gone. Sorry, he may be a great guy, but is a detriment to the team and has lost the ability to play even respectable NFL football.

We need apass rusher first because if you can't get to the QB no corner can cover all day WHats your thought on Solomon Thomas. I didn't really watched college this year, and have only studied a little so far. He looks pretty awesome though. I still think we need a CB first round. Esp with all the talent this year. I feel like there could be at least 2-5 future pro bowl cbs in the first round of this year. I've never really seen that before. And there is a bunch of talent elsewhere. In all honesty, at 16, I feel like we'll be getting a player that would go top 5 i a lot of drafts. Because of the overall talent in this draft. We still have to get the pick right though, obviously. I feel like we have to go corner for so many reasons. So far I really like Wilson, Tabor, Jones, Jamal Adams (saftey), and there's at least 3-4 other cbs people are talking about going in the first. I haven't looked much yet. Wilson looks like a remedy for Ravens football to me. Pair him with Jimmy Tavon and Weddle for years to come = secondary problems beyond solved, and probably the best in the league. Building the rest of the D around that would be fun imo I haven't watched any college FB this year but will watch senior bowl mock drafts have us taking a pass rusher from Alabama with our first pick don't remember his name but sounds like a good player but I agree with you CB talent deep in this draft seems tobe good corners available in first 3 rounds Just hope FO doesn't make the mistake of drafting CB late and miss out on top talent, thinking its a deep class. They have a deep need to upgrade the secondary talent period. Everyone knows the Ravens have a stout run game defense. There is already pass rushers on this team. Give them another 0.2-0.3 seconds on average to get home and the difference in outcomes will be huge. Opposing QB's were not forced into holding the ball long enough to feel the pressure and negates the work of your pass rush and wears them down in the process. Also Weedle and Webb was a good combo at Safety, but really now is the time to think forward and bring another young player in to learn the position from those vets. They did not groom up a safety before Reeds departure and look at the whole situation that created. It took several years to "fix" but they are again in a similar position. Elam is good for depth but needs to show more on the field to consider him a future starter. we will have to address some needs before draft in FA and Im not a fan of weddle or webb weddles not terrible but shies away from hitting and webs play and salary will be enough to cut him this year we need a thumper at saftey I thought Weddle was a nice addition. Plays with heart, will give you a great play every now and then and has become a vocal leader in the locker room. Agree that something needs to be done with Webbie. As long as they show K. Lewis the door, the team almost has to improve.

There's a lot of depth, but there are some legitimate blue chip guys on defense that could still be around also, which is why I hope we stay at #16 and draft a player who could turn out to be a real difference maker. The quanity over quality approach that the FO gambles on may have worked out in the 4th round last year - I'll withhold judgement for awhile, though it looks promising - But in other drafts has ended up hurting us. I say go for the stud DE, OLB or DB in 2017.

Having a consistent pass rush would also help out the secondary. I agree that Smith is a key piece in the DB corps, and adding another premier player via FA or draft would help, however, if the modern day QB in this league is given enough time, he will invaribly find an open man. Even most mediocre QB's out there have the skills to find a WR if allowed enough time. The Raven's pass rush has been woefully inconsistent the past two years. Even if it doesn't equate to sacks, we need more QB pressure. Without it, even the best CB's in the league are going to be burned eventually.

We've had some great seasons. And really good guys... Where's your list of players that Oz has drafted that have went on to have great careers? Certainly as long as the list of players you've named above. And as for "fixing" the Raven's problems by firing everybody, try asking the Cleveland Brownies about how that works... you are right to an extent about drafting but I think Eric DeCosta will do just fine when OZ leaves an its my opinion that it should be soon but as far as firing john,marty,dean turning us into browns your wrong we should do it now and get it over with john has not won anything worth mentioning since the super bowl he can't manage the clock an holds the wrong people accountable and has lost games for us with horrible special teams plays so if we made a strong offer to Pats OC Josh McDaniels for head coach bring back chuck pagano as DC and Jedd Fisch as the OC with McDaniels over seeing everything we would be back in the playoffs in 1-3 years and would be true contenders for years to come but thats just me Agree that DeCosta will be A fine GM. Also agree that Harbs is terrible with clock management. But he was brought along under Andy Reid, who is possibly the worst head coach in the NFL when it comes to clock management. Not a real excuse, but the nut doesn't fall far from the tree. Disagree with the special teams comment. We actually have one of the best ST units in the league. Yeah, I know that return specialist is a desperate need, Hester was a shell of his former self, but overall special teams played well. I would have been o.k. with a change of OC, however I think the Ravens want to see some stability at the position and kept Morny. As for gutting the whole coaching staff, I strongly believe that Biscotti will have Harbs on the hot seat next year, and missing the play-offs will not be acceptable next year. You don't just fire a coach with Harb's pedigree after a couple of disappointing seasons, but he needs to turn things around quickly.
