  1. The O-line played well... Flacco had all day in the pocket, he just would sit there forever and not throw it.
  2. Math problem is EZ. Simple pythagorean theorem. a^2+b^2=c^2, where the answer is 2x the difference between C and B (assuming B is the 60 yards).
  3. Haha. I was wondering if someone else would notice that. I know China is far, but they make it look SO much further. You can fly the other direction guys... You're not going to fall off the face of the earth.
  4. Really don't like this signing. Not because Wallace is a bad player, but because it's way too much money for him, especially for a team that constantly struggles with cap room. Mike Wallace is good, but all he does is run down-field fast... If that what the Ravens are looking for they already have a taller, faster WR in Perriman.
  5. I don't really agree that the Jimmy Smith was overpaid, but Webb is definitely getting way too much for someone who is essentially a nickle DB, and I know we needed help along the O-Line, but we definitely paid out Monroe too quickly. Luckily we should have some extra cap room this year if we cut Monroe, and no longer have the Rice and Ngata dead money. Might also have even more if Pitta retires.
  6. I'm hoping we move back a couple spots, pick up an extra draft pick, and take Desmond King. When you watch the other top DBs getting interceptions, it's usually an errant throw by the QB that falls into their lap. King is out there MAKING plays, and I think that's what the Ravens really need on defense right now. We already have J-Smith on the one side doing a pretty good job shutting down the opponent's top WR, it would be nice to have someone on the other side that can play a little less safe and change the tide of the game.
  7. Very saddened for Steve Smith. He's a hell of a player. I really hope he does hang up the cleats after this season though. Not because I wouldn't love to see him play some more, but because I just don't think his body can hold up playing the hard nosed style he loves to play. Best of luck to him in whatever he decides to do.
  8. Yes, it has been dissapointing that Perriman hasn't been able to get on the field, but that hardly means it was a bad long-term decision. Not to mention that Carl Davis and Nick Boyle have looked really good as rookies. Last year we drafted CJ Mosley, Timmy Jernigan, and Crockett Gilmore... That was dissapointing? I feel like the only big dissapointment recently has been Matt Elam, but I'd hardly say that "Our last few drafts have been dissapointing."
  9. "Brady has Rob Gronkowski" Alright... But what happens when he's injured? Brady still manages to make the offense work even with nobody at RB or WR. Flacco can barely make the offense go when he has Steve Smith and Forsett in the backfield. And when something happens to one of them, the offense can't do ANYTHING. I'm not saying Flacco is bad, he's a heck of a lot better than any other options the Ravens have, but he doesn't deserve to be in the same conversation as the top tier QBs.
  10. I would like to thank Rob Ryan for this Ravens victory. 4th and 20, all you have to do is stop the offense from getting 20 yards, and he brings the house. LAWL! Joking aside, a pretty impressive performance from the Ravens.
  11. My guess is it means that he'll be used sparingly this season, develop, and then take over the weak ILB position when D. Smith leaves or retires (probably after this year).
  12. Firstly, Upshaw and Simon are OLBs... and you talk about S. Smith and Daniels are getting up there in age, but the same could be said about D. Smith. Pick 17 in the first round is a rare opporunity for the Ravens to get a star player, and they still have 6 more rounds, and even more picks to fill the rest of their holes. Plenty of talent can still be found in the draft.
  13. A poor perspective IMO. That's like not crediting Ray Lewis for making that tackle on sprolles 5 yards in the backfeild a few years ago to beat San Diego. He was in the backfeild as the handoff was being made several times. That's instinct and timing. Watch the first highlight of him they show after he gets drafted on NFL.com and try and tell me that was the D-line. (He makes both the guard and the FB miss, and then tackles the RB for a loss)
  14. I love this pick. I think Moseley is going to be a monster and bring the intimidation factor back to the Ravens' defense. People complaining that the Ravens still have holes have seemed to forget that there are still 6 more rounds of the draft to go. Thinking you can only get quality players in the first round is just naive. Just because the Ravens don't use a first round pick to fill the hole doesn't mean that they'll be unable to effectively fill it. The Ravens rarely get a chance to pick as high as 17 in the draft and needed to use that opportunity to draft someone they think will be a star on the team... Especially with the rapid decline of star power on the team. Ray is gone, Ed is gone, Ngata is perpetually injured, Suggs is getting up there in age, and Rice (IMO) is on the decline. Looking to burn a high first round pick on a player for the sole reason that they fill a hole seems to me to be a very short-term view of things, especially when the starting ILB is over 30 .
