  1. joe only understood in the playoffs

just throw to boldin ..even if he's covered.hes open

can't say the same with sanders wallace and co

lol..you guys are bonkers…Derrick Mason is the most underrated WR in the past 17 years.

First off, playoff stats are kept separate from season stats. No one is arguing how clutch Boldin was in the playoffs. And I'm "bonkers" when there's proof of what I stated. Not once did I mention anything about Mason.

  2. Is that boldins fault? he had 900 yards pretty much every year. and aside from that 1000 plus every other year.

It's not as much about the yards as it is the receptions he averaged. If he had the reception average of the other teams, the yards would have followed.

Neither of those teams had a run-first offense either.

Although this is true, it really doesn't come into play as much as we think it does. During the same period that Boldin was here, Joe averaged 520 attempts with 312 completions. Of course Boldin wasn't in on every passing play, but he was for the majority of them. It makes you wonder why he wasn't targeted more, considering Joe looked his way often. I feel it is because he just wasn't open in many of those situations.

  3. lets see how the great julius thomas does ( boy what an overrated ^&*) without manning

sanders is just an average player made to look good by peyton. He barley cracked 700 yards since 2010.

mike wallace is a one trick pony

I'd pick last years steve smith..a 30 year old boldin and a 34 year old mason over them all

oh and aside from 2009 santonio was nothing more than solid.

Boldin and Mason have been 1000 yard receivers for most of their careers.

Sorry man, but Boldin never had 1000 yards here as he did many times with Arizona and both seasons in S.F. He averaged 83 catches with both those clubs while only compiling 62 avg. here over 3 years.

  4. I'd still like to see Brian Biliick get in the ring, someday. Us die hards remember when we were in the NFL Outhouse with Teddy Marchibroada and his 16-31-1 record, we started turning the corner to becoming an elite team one we hired him.

I agree. Billick dragged this franchise out of the basement and helped us to stand tall. although he struggled to get the right combination of offensive players in here to do something on that side of ball consistently. As far as the ring goes, I suspect it won't ever happen because of his firing.

  5. Big fan of I-95.

    Classy RAVEN for sure.

I do find it interesting that he could not be signed today because we are at our 90 player limit.

It does say something that there is no one currently on our roster cut worthy even for one day.

I agree totally. It's pretty sad actually. Julian Wilson is still on the 90 man roster and is out for the year with a broken leg. Not that they should release the kid but, maybe IR him? I don't know what the thinking is.

  6. While I do feel that Ngata's pass rush dipped, he did provide a great bull rush and did a pretty good job at collapsing the pocket. That kind of production will be tough to replace. We also lost McPhee who was a pretty efficient pass rusher. Unless Dumerville has a better season in 2015 than 2014, which I find hard to imagine then I don't see us getting better at it. I still believe that our pass rush will ranked top ten, heck top 7, just not as good as last season.

I'm with you brother. I was just kidding around. I try to make light of things all the time.

  7. I think our Dline will be fine. Not trying to bag on Ngata, but his pass rush was dipping, Jigg was actually a better pass rusher this season, though it is his specialty, he's a good run stopper as well. Also including Davis and Williams who are primary run stoppers, I think this Dline will be just as good as it was last year. I do see a dip in sacks though.

Can't agree with that but, I do see a dip in D-line interceptions though. lol

  8. So, apparently, some Pat-Riots fans are angered by these recent events to the point that a fan started a GoFundMe page to help pay for the $1 million fine... even though that's mere pocket change for Robert Kraft: http://www.gofundme.com/NewEnglandPatriots

Seriously! You can't make this stuff up!

It's comical that they already received over $4400 in donations. The funny part will come when they try to collect and only about 12 people pay up.

  9. In week 1, we only kept six last year (Smith, Smith Sr, Jones, Brown, Aiken, Campanero) and 5 the previous year (Smith, Brown, Jones, Thompson, and Melette.  Thompson had a foot injury so we actually went into week 1 with 4 WRs).

You are absolutely right. My bad, don't know what I was thinking. Thanks for correcting me.

  10. Here's my deal: I really like what Carter offers. Yes, it's true that he would make 7 WR if we keep the draft picks and guys from last year on the 53, but I love what Carter provides and I think he needs to make the team and will. He provides what may be good ST play and looks like a good RS. That's important to me since we got rid of Jacoby Jones. I have to see if he can play gunner, but I think he could do that as well. He has the wheels for it. Carter is also a similar player to Campanaro and Smith in his size, and it's nice to have a guy like that for match-up purposes. I don't want to lose him because he's the kind of WR that gives Sherman trouble.

I just really believe we keep 7 this year. I feel pretty strong about it, like I did about us keeping Hurst last year.

I have to agree with you on Carter and feel he'll bring some excitement to the return game. I also agree we will run 7 WRs. We have done it the last two seasons and see that trend continuing.

  11. Camp will be the # 3 WR & #1 PR just as he was for the second Cincy game before the hammy. He came in and beat those guys out as a 7th rd pick.  Next season it will be he and Breshad.

As far as his "Injury prone" tag from college. As a long time Deac fan, I saw him touch the ball every other play during his time here wether it was a run, catch or return. That raises your risk level a bit. He is as tough as nails and is our all time leading reception leader for a reason.

Harbs said it in his pre draft presser. Who could be this years Wagner? "first name that came to mind was Campanaro"

    campanaro will be cut

    You two should lock horns.

  12. Williams and Davis are still off of it, oddly. I want the rookies to decide on some numbers, too.

Only question mark I can see on this team is at the KR/PR spot(s). Do we have the guys to do it already? There are always FAs with those skills but that means a tough decision on cuts come August.

All the 2015 drafted players are now listed with jersey numbers. Still have Hill listed as a RFA & Means listed as a ERFA. As well, none of the UFA's are listed.

  13. I feel the Ravens will go with 7 WRs as well. It is my hope that they can develop Weller and have him paired with Perriman on the outsides. SSS to be the slot with Aiken & Brown as the 4th & 5th options. That would put speed and height advantages on the outsides on all downs opening up the center of the field for Smith and the TEs. This would also allow Smith to have "that reduced role" on obvious 2nd & 3rd passing downs. It's a great way to keep Smith fresh all season long.

I think Camp gets the 6th option and/or the RS who won't see the field all that often behind Smith, or at least until Smith retires.

That leaves the 7th spot between Butler and Carter. Butler will be there unless they can develop Carter as a RS. No matter how it shakes out, the other will go to the PS.
