  1. I want to see the team this week, come out for our first drive with the no huddle and attack, attack, attack. Pass first and often with going deep at least once or twice. Set the tempo from the get go and wear out their pass rush early. There will be plenty of time to balance out the offense with heavy run plays after the first couple of drives No run, run, pass, punt in this game. Exploit their weakness first.

  2. Yea Upshaw will slide into the role played by Suggs and I see McClellan playing the role of Upshaw. I can't see Doom as a full time player, especially when you have a guy like McClellan capable of stepping in. Babin and Doom will be kept fresh as rush specialist while Upshaw and ZDS will see 3rd down reps in that Mcphee type role.

This is the way I see it as well. It's the smart play. You keep Upshaw & Doom doing their thing and you use McClellan on running downs to set the edge with Babin in on passing downs on the other side. This way you keep Upshaw & ZDS in that McPhee role and it allows Doom & Babin to stay fresh.

Babin is a good signing for us.

  3. The only problem is that if you sign a player off of waivers or at this point, their salary becomes guaranteed and the Ravens would prefer to wait until after week one.

Good point and I agree the team would want to wait in that situation.

  4. Raheem Mostert just signed to Philly's PS. Bummed we didn't sign him. He was the only GOOD KR option I saw. Can we sign a player that just got signed to a PS?

Sure. We just have to carry them on the active roster for a minimum of 3 weeks. With LT out, that's right up our alley

  5. I'm probably totally wrong here but, there could be a possibility that BP may have been ready for a return last week and maybe the team chose not to let him go so there won't be any game film on him. I know it's a stretch but, it wouldn't surprise me considering how quiet it's been throughout and the fact they don't have to list injuries during preseason. We will know for sure here shortly. I'm hoping!

  6. Trouble with Taylor is that he's been cut because of the injury issues, from that standpoint we don't gain anything.

I also noticed quite a few people mentioning our friend Trindon Holliday now - he also can't get healthy at all and is the same type of player Asa is (much better returner, I'll grant him that) - returns kicks but a liability at his position.

This article says he asked to be released, nothing about injury. It won't matter though, he is visiting the Steelers.

  7. Even though it's not technically training camp anymore, I don't want to create a new thread.

Ravens also hopeful that Webb and Campanaro will return to practice early this week. Both moved well, looked healthy during pregame workout

That's good news! I'd still wrap them both in bubble wrap & lock them in the equipment cage until they leave for Denver, but that's just me.

  8. Something I wonder if Perriman has tried is cryotherapy. For those unfamiliar it's a treatment that some top athletes like Lebron James swear by for decreasing inflammation/pain/shorten recovery time. You can look into the specifics behind it if you're interested but basically it involves getting in a chamber and getting surrounded by a nitrogen mist at -166 degrees for 2-3 minutes. Think of it as an extreme version of an ice bath.

Recently more and more athletic programs are incorporating it into their treatment, specifically wealthy programs like Alabama Football. I think it certainly couldn't hurt to try, for the amount of positive reviews out there from a lot of top athletes it definitely benefits certain types of injuries and inflammation significantly.

That's a big step up from deer antler spray.

  9. One area I feel we are not addressing enough is our kickoff & punt returners. I'm not impressed with anyone presently that may make the team.

We started out with Jermaine Lewis who became a great returner until he was stolen from us by the Texans in the expansion. The team was left with 10 years of mediocre play at best until Jacoby arrived.

Now I feel we will be back in that non explosive rut for awhile until the next game changer arrives. I sure hope it doesn't take another ten years.

  10. While at the game last night, I thought Waller played very well. On the Camp TD, Waller was the one that cleared that side of the field out on a deep route, which left Camp so wide open. Schaub could have gone to Waller as well since he had a couple steps on the DB. Dude just towers many players and it's noticeable.
