Wow! Just read that the last time that we beat the Jags in Jacksonville was 2001. That's 15 yrs of pent up frustration that we need to convincingly rectify this week.
If Trestman can get the run game going to complement what Flacco is doing passing wise,we'd win this game by atleast 10.
I think the problem with the run game is more a O-line than Trestman problem. Although, once Flacco started throwing the rock around more it did open up the run game some.
The problem with the run game is Forsett. Go with West, Allen and Dixon. JF is making WAY too much money for his production and age.
Save some $$, and let the guy go get all the social media face time he needs for himself and his family!
The problem with our run game is a combination of play design and execution. Often our players are not moving the defense off the ball or the defense is reaching the hole before the blocks are made on pulls.
Well it will be fun to see what BB does now:

Cold! lol
Who's not practicing today.

Lenny Moore was very good as well. Although he was never close to Jamal in rushing yards, he did have more rushing TD's. What set Lenny apart was his receiving abilities. 111 combined TD's almost doubled Jamal's output.
Look at the gif above and see who was rushing with him. Albert, Smith & Judon.
Great job getting there Timmy with no Suggs, BWill or Pierce to help.
I like some fans never have the time to follow college players much, although I do support Maryland. I do follow and respect many of the opinions on here with evaluations. I was sold on Stanley as the pick mainly because I had enough of Monroe missing time.

Good read, thanks for the link. Having to go through so much is only going to make him tougher. The kid has plenty of heart and will achieve greatness, I have no doubt.
Did anyone watch Designated Survivor last night? I'm not much on regular tv but this looks to be a good story line. Did hold my interest throughout. I'm a fan of Kiefer Sutherland and think he's perfect for this part.
First and foremost, I'm concerned about the pass protection. But what has happened to the zone block scheme that was so successful in the run game? I thought Trestman was suppose to continue with it. Improve upon it. I don't see it. Trestman is no Gary Kubiak.
The zone blocking scheme is no longer as effective since the NFL eliminated cut blocks this year. Without the cut blocks, running lanes don't open up as much as they were.

I thought the same thing while watching him during preseason. One play stuck in my mind were he seemed to cross his feet and lost his footing while being pushed back, ending up on the ground.

Just curious what you think of Jensen's play at center?

I don't understand why we often throw short of the 1st down marker on 3rd downs. That just drives me nuts week in and week out.
That's a nice thought. Not sure how feasible it would be considering it's in season for the team & staff and also depending on the arrangements, but I'm sure they will do something. No doubt he deserves it.

Considering he would have been playing against auto mechanics, truck drivers, ... To many before & during that time football was their part-time job.
Elvis Dumervil could return this week... or he could return next week... or the week after that... who knows. Seems like one of those weekly injury stories like what we had /w Perriman last year, meaning I'd rather just not hear about him until he's actually practicing.

As Mink said in his tweet ... why do we have to get good camera angles shown to us AFTER the game is over? Cameras down the goal lines, the end lines and the sidelines should be standard at all games.
What, is the NFL short on funds?
The owners voted it down this past offseason. They would be the ones outlaying the money. It does need to be done!
Lot of ppl on Trestman, but if Moore catches the TD and Pitta doesn't illegal shift, then we're looking at 35 points
Pitta didn't illegal shift. Zutta snapped the ball before Pitta was set. That was solely on Zutta.
Why would media ask McCown if the Ravens were targeting his shoulder? That's just ridiculous in an NFL Game. And for McCown to assume that the refs would have protected him more??? I'm just curious why McCown would assume that. None of the hits were dirty. None of them were illegal hits. That's the game Josh. It's kinda up to your line to protect you, isn't it???
The media should ask why their player targeted Flacco's knee. That was more blatant. Although it was flagged, I hope their player is fined for it.
They are going to be a desperate team after dropping the first two. It won't be easy with the way we are playing.
I hope they at least have a "CB" on the back of the helmet or patch on the jersey.

And I couldn't agree more that we can't devolve Joe into a dink and dunk guy, that is not his core strength.
It really depends on who we are facing because that is exactly what you need to beat overly aggressive defenses. That's what Cinn. used to beat the Jets last week. A fair amount of AJ's receptions were short and he got the yac. I see us doing the same when we play them.
Clarence should be our next ring of honor recipient, without a doubt.
