I think we are under estimating what KO meant to the OL. That being said... we should be running the ball better then we have been. I think ALewis being out with a concussion and placing Urschel at G will show improvement. Urschel knows the system and will make both Zuttah and Stanley's job a little easier. A Lewis looks like a great addition down the road and he has all of the tools and physicality but he isn't there yet mentally. Urschel will be an upgrade this week and we will see it in our run game!
I might be wrong but im pretty sure it was Jensen that came in for Alex and not Urschel..
It was. Urschel wasn't active Sunday.
The only one close to being a sure thing is Trustin Tucker.

At least once or twice a decade. lol I'm still hoping to see the team get the #1 seed so the playoffs come through Balt. I'm sure there aren't enough prayers in the world for that to happen while I'm still above ground.
We just need to shade coverage to Wright's side with Webb a little more to give him help over the top.
You want ancient? Bring back the Power T Formation with the two TE & 3 RB set. Pull 1 OT & 1TE and pitch out to the trailing back giving 4 lead blockers to the outside. Hey, it worked in 1940 from what I read.
LOL! PFT has us ranked #7 in their latest power rankings.

What Joe did when Harbs told him you guys want Cam back

If I was on the Browns, I'd be drinking heavily too. I just wouldn't drive after. Maybe he stashed his own bottle for the flight home.
the JAGS should have enough character by now.i'm not sure if anyone shut down SSR. yesterday, but like JOSH NORMAN,why was RAMSEY not on our best receiver if he's the best db.?
Does anybody know who our best receiver really is? Right now that seems pretty open to interpretation.
Exactly! Someone made a statement in RT about not having a top 20 receiver. Well, when you have a receiver by committee and you spread the ball around, you don't have a top receiver.
Sorry but Dixon won't help this run game. The problem lies with some of the scheme and the OL. Specifically Zuttah. The guy just gets pushed out of his lanes too often and is nothing more than a speed bump against the pass rush.
If we can see it, you can't tell me the coaches don't. Time to make the move to someone else on the roster or find someone to bring in by trade. It has to get fixed immediately.

Granted the Browns (5.7) and Bills (4.8) are 2nd and 4th respectively and we held them largely in check, but the Raiders' running game is legit and will be a tough match-up. They're not the Jags, who've neglected the OL and are paying the price - these guys won't get the same plaudits but their OL is arguably just as good as Dallas'. Again that's not to say that we'll get gashed like the Bears did last night, but I actually think that'll be the biggest match-up of the day.
I agree with pretty much all the rest - if our OTs do well Joe might get close to a career game in terms of yardage, and if our CBs can slow down Crabtree and Cooper I think we get enough stops (and limit the big plays) to win.
I agree that their OL is pretty good, but they have run against teams that are mediocre to bad against the run. Tenn. being the best of the three and just held them to 17 points. All 3 of their backs have broken big runs which inflates the YPC a bit with 22, 30 & 75 yards respectively.
Hopefully we will be able to contain them better.

I know no one wants to hear about the "what ifs", but I don't care. lol If Wallace makes the catch in the end zone I think it's a much different game. And throw that out........ If Hester doesn't make his rookie like error it's probably a much more comfortable win yesterday.(hope that was just a brain fart that doesn't reoccur!)
The Ravens have beaten 3 NFL teams. Period. Pretty damn good considering all of the new and returning pieces. If we can stay healthy and get the O line woes worked out we're gonna make some noise and be a tough team to beat come tournament time.
Hester has 32 combined fumbles over his 10 yr career on KR & PR. Obviously it's not uncommon for him to put a few on the deck.
Well, it was good to see Joe go under center and have the "I" formation set up behind him. Also to see West get 15 on the play.
Yes it was only one play and I know that there's little proof that a lead back helps us to gain more yardage. It was good to see though.
Flacco had a great second quarter, then he stopped stepping into his throws or step up in the pocket in the third and fourth quarters. The result was off-target throws. I think Trestman needs to add in some roll-out pass plays to help out the O-Line, and change up the look. I'm also convinced the running game woes have more to do with scheme than with a lack of talent.
I feel it's a combination of scheme and talent. For the 1st time this season, we ran a "I" formation with Flacco under center. Result was West got 15 yds, our longest run so far. I'm not sure if we used it again the rest of the game though.
All I've got to say is Trustin Tucker and Wheels Flacco. You go guys.
That game was one big, heapin, steamin pile of dung. Somehow, we came out smellin o.k. in the end.
Sometimes......ugly is Beeeeautiful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would agree but he did get some practice there with Zuttah missing time.
Scratch that. Zrebiec just said Zuttah warming up with the 1st squad

W / was hoping to see Zuttah on the pine.
May still. We'll see at game time, but I'm with you.

Maybe going with the taller guys as well.

Going to be high of 89, feel like mid 90's
This is really cool of Timmy to do:

We should be licking our chops going against this line with their back-ups.
I'm ugly, so is my wife. We have two ugly kids. Hell, even my dog is ugly. I can handle a ugly win, no doubt.

Nice breakdown JO as always. Would love to see both the Steelers & Bengals drop another one this week. How sweet would that be?
Also hope to see the Bills continue what they started last week and at least give the P*ts 1 loss before * comes back.
A Denver loss would also be fantastic. It could happen with having to travel east 2 weeks in a row and playing in that hot, humid weather down there.
Should all this happen along with a big Ravens win would set us up nicely as the only undefeated in the AFC.
If you're gonna dream, dream big ... Right?
