Great stories Kevin. I always enjoy reading your insight into our team. Rest in peace, David.
1. CB
2. O line
3. WR
4. Pass Rush Specialist- a McPhee type would be solid
5. S
6. MLB
7. RB
This is a good lineup I could get on board with. The only thing is we may need 2 Oline if Wagner leaves.
Yeah, I don't want a week 4 bye. They should make their request to the league now to ensure that doesn't happen.
To be the best defense in the league for 16 plus games is going to take fixing the bend and break zone defense that Pees always slips us into late in games.
Seems like a great opportunity to do something for charity. Something that would be really good for the Ravens and Steelers to promote together. Ryan, if you think that is doable, send the idea up the line and keep us posted. ;)
I agree. I think this would be a really cool, positive event for the players, the teams, and their communities.
I agree. If it is marketed correctly, they could really turn it into something worthwhile for their communities by getting local business sponsorship involved like UA.
I think I would be a little disappointed if we chose a box safety in the first round, considering that safety isn't an immediate need at present other than as a backup and future starter. I would much rather see them try to move up and grab a true playmaking CB in the first.
Don't know much about D'Alessandris other than what's noted here. Wish him luck and hopes for building a beast of an Oline.
I'm absolutely devastated as he grew to become one of my favorite players. I feel for him having to make that choice and walk away before his career took off and blossomed. Best wishes to you Zack.
I wouldn't expect Reed to want to coach here, at least while Harbs is the HC. I feel there has always been something going on between the two that has affected that relationship.

2.) only a few who want to "stay the course"? You must not have read the boards or listened to any press conferences with any of the players or coaches because you are virtually the only person I've come across who has been peddling this bogus narrative of blowing up the franchise and starting again
3.) bad dead cap space? Yep that's true but hardly all the front office's fault - who could really foresee the injury problems or the ray rice issue - and yet after bemoaning all this dead money you want to create negative cap space by getting rid of flacco? That sounds like hypocrisy to me or at least some sort of annoying double standard
4.) if we do not sign Williams or Jernigan or dumervil it will not be to do with dead money - in Williams and Jernigan's cases it will be simply because they have been priced out of Baltimore and we don't want to overpay them (something which you have illiterally based all your complaints on), and if doom goes it will be to create cap space to sign other people because he isn't performing well
5.) the steelers are a better team than us as evidenced by the fact that they are in the playoffs and we are not, however to allege that we have been left behind with some ridiculous talent deficit yet somehow miraculously and with luck have consistently beaten them is of course proof that they don't have "our number" because the very sentiment of that phrase would suggest they beat us thoroughly and often which is opposite to the facts
but I digress - I imagine you won't read any of this and will ignore everything here like you have everything else so I'll make an equally ridiculous suggestion... the front office should trade you to the patriots forum where you'd fit in comfortably with all the other trolls
Your post is dead on, except for one word which I was happy to fix for you.
I will be really disappointed if we don't come out of this draft with a couple of true playmakers. Especially at the corner position.
Congrats to Morgan. His impact on this team often goes unnoticed but his value to the kicking game and Tucker is enormous.
Sure his injury affected him this year. That along with poor mechanics, a struggling Oline, Wr's not getting open along with drops and the playcalling/lack of a run game all contributed to his poor season.
Can't wait for the free agent and draft periods to begin. I always look forward to it each year and follow it with great anticipation.

49ers plan to offer their HC job to Falcons' OC Kyle Shanahan whenever Atlanta’s season ends, sources tell ESPN. Willing to wait for him.
I wonder if he will bring his dad back in some capacity or if he will choose to do it himself.
“The fans who attend games at M&T Bank Stadium will always have a memorable gameday experience and get good value.”
As a PSL owner, I love going to the Bank for all the games as it is a great experience but, I see little value in it. I mean we were just informed ticket prices are increasing to go along with the way they steal from people with merchandise, food & beverages. It's easy to say don't buy anything but harder not to do when your there for 4 hours or more.
I'm not too concerned about getting a playmaking RB at this point. I think they should put there efforts first and foremost to rebuilding the Oline into a beast. We need a couple of maulers at C & RT first. Then they need to get West and Juice resigned.
I kinda expect the Ravens to offer Wallace a new contract for about 3 years to help lower his cap hit. Also, he really needs to step up the leadership role this year as he is the only true veteran WR on the team at present.
Congrats to Tucker, Stanley and Pitta. More accolades to put in the trophy case.
Best wishes for Kristen. Fight the good fight!

Here it is for those who haven't seen it.

James Harrison 38 owned Ronnie Stanley 22 in the first game. It was a good test for Ronnie to learn from.
You do realize that it was his first game back from injury and he wasn't healed at that point. It was a good lesson for him as he dominated Harrison in the second game.

And convinced at least Rex Ryan to hire him as a starter. I wouldn't say that is a complete waste of a pick. How many players from other positions have we drafted in 6th or 7th round who wound up starters? Unless you count Camp, who is injured more often than not, I can't name single one.
If you would have read my post, you would have seen that I had mentioned Tyrod. Still it's not the norm to find a worthwhile QB in the 6th round. I stand by my opinion that if you want a decent to good QB, that selection should happen before the end of the 4th round.
Off the top of my head, I can only think of Adalius Thomas selected in the 6th that went onto become a starter for us. In addition, I can name numerous undrafted players that were starters for us over the years. In 2016 alone we had Orr & McClellan.
Biscoitti is correct that it's production, not age that truly matters. The only thing that seems to be affected by age is injuries and that has been proven time and again with our older players. The best ability is availability and if your older players are hurt, then you are getting no production out of them.
A late round QB is nothing but a wasted pick imo. How many late round QB's have gone on to have even decent careers. There's Brady and Taylor but that is not the norm. If you are going to spend a pick on a QB it shouldn't be any later than the 4th round.

I am floored that Zach has to retire. Although, he was blessed to have the CT scan show his issue before something much more serious occurred.
I guess that we'll get to see what the wonder kid that we drafted in the second round can do now. Time to show us something.
