  1. I also don't see the value in a developmental league. It will not be a viable source of income for the owners and would seriously lack fan support. For all intents and purpose, there is already a developmental league with the CFL that is sustainable. Considering that less then a handful of players come out of that league to the NFL annually, I can't see how a developmental league in the states would be any better.

What's the point of a 60 man roster though?  Just so teams can keep more players?  Rotations sound great but a large majority of teams out there don't rotate strongly unless injuries necessitate it.  So many players active on gamedays only play ST.

Minor leagues aren't going to make money.  The big appeal of minor league baseball is that you get to see top prospects rise through the ranks.  In a proposed football minor league system, you have the guys that can't hack it on any 53 man roster.  What talent is there to go see?  You're looking at a much more expensive sport to fund that really doesn't have much earning potential.  So many attempted minor/feeder leagues have tried and failed, and that's because the product on the field isn't good.  I don't think owners would be enticed by a pool of players to pick from because most of those guys are there because they couldn't make it in the big leagues.  Getting one good player every now and then isn't going to be enough to support the money loss that would inevitably happen.

Agreed. Not a fan of a 60 man roster unless other things change to accommodate it. The cap would have to increase to be able to have a few additional "playmakers".  Without a sizable cap increase, the additional players would be the same developmental players that already exist on the PS.

In addition, I feel they will need to increase the number of players that are allowed to dress on game day. What's the sense in having additional players if only 45 dress and they can't play in the games.

Haha it's such an offensive league that defensive backs can be called for PI while on holiday

I didn't even know there was a bar in Cedar Rapids, a place where they roll the sidewalks up after dark. From my experience, the most popular thing to do there is to watch Wheel Of Fortune.

LombardI also said the Seahawks were open to trading Richard Sherman. I doubt his credibility as he's never broken any big news before.

I'm with you JO. I posted it because others were asking where it came from. Although, I have to admit that it is enticing to consider.

You would be mistaken. Scandrick plays the slot and Carr always started.

Thanks. I didn't follow the boys closely so I wasn't sure. My son told me he was the nickle so I'll go razz him about it.

  6. I would love nothing more than to see Webby come back in a reduced role, at a reduced cap hit allowing him an opportunity to finish his career here. Always a true Raven through and through. If it doesn't happen, I want to send my thanks to him as I enjoyed watching him over the years.

He's a good corner when healthy but injuries have been his downfall but maybe a change of scenery might help.

I like what Claiborne brings when he can stay on the field but, the thought of both our top corners being down at the same time kinda throws a wrench in it for me. I think I would much prefer to grab a good corner high in the draft and possibly another later at this point.

We still potentially have Guy, Aiken and Powers to sign elsewhere.

I guess it would be optimistic to expect Elam and Chris Lewis Harris to bring us any benefit by signing anywhere else. Lewis Harris might be the sort of guy we sign to close to the vet minimum to play on ST. And Elam, well.....

Elam?? What kind of comps can we expect from Finish Line? Free shoe strings?

Although, if found guilty, we may be able to get some boss license plates.
