  1. I don't know, I would actually find it funny to see the Browns on there, but those HBO ratings tho...
  2. At least, he is elite at something.
  3. It seems that Hester is back in the league. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000769348/article/seahawks-sign-veteran-return-man-devin-hester Wish him luck, he's going to need it.
  4. Just for curiosities sake, I'd like to hear how much of his salary you would like to see him give up? I mean, considering his salary is 6m in 2017, how much of that would help to procure more talent around him? As well, what kind of talent can we expect to get for 6m or less? Joe's cap hit in 2017 is 6m in base salary and 18.55m in prorated signing bonus for a total of 24.55m. So unless you expect him to break out his own checkbook and fork over some portion of the money that has already been paid to him for signing and extending his contract, I can't see how this could help the team. Nobody, as well as no player, including Brady, would give back money already paid to them.
  5. It's a shame we don't have sigs anymore.
  6. Four days into the new year and I'm already discouraged. I just can't see anything that the Ravens could do at this point that will fix this team in time for next season. It all starts with the coaching and this staff is mediocre at best with that mediocrity continuing to seep down to the players. Everyone knows what flows downhill.
  7. All this coach speak is great and all but, before they can do anything to help Flacco, he first needs to help himself. The dude needs to take a hard look in the mirror and he needs to realize he is not great. Then he needs to fix all the issues in himself that are holding him back from being great.
  8. I'm sorry but, Marty isn't the answer for this team. Harbs keeps making the same mistakes over and over. He kept Cam too long, should have never brought Caldwell back in 2013, Should have never hired Trestman to begin with much less bring him back in 2016 and now he's making the same mistake bringing Marty back. A good manager would have at least done their due diligence and researched the market for the best candidate first. Everyone knows the definition of insanity.
  9. As far as FA, I see them offering contracts to Wagner, Juice and Guy, Sorry BWill, it's been real.
  10. I feel we should offer restructures to all of these high contract players that the team wants to keep. Anyone not accepting should be shown the door along with the players they are not keeping.
  11. Great! He'll be back in time for the... for the... first minicamp.
  12. Yeah, if we can increase our TOP that will allow him to break into the 700's or even higher.
  13. You can't sugar coat it as everyone knows what the definition of insanity is. How many times is Harbs going to make the same mistakes. He was mistaken to keep Cam as long as he did. He was mistaken to bring Caldwell back in 2013, a coach that had little offensive background. He was mistaken to bring Trestman in to begin with or back this season and he's making the same mistake again with Marty.
  14. We are only 3 days into the new year and already filled with disappointment and low expectations. Still, is anyone really surprised?
  15. I totally agree and to be honest, since his overall production isn't equating to more first downs and scores for the amount of targets he receives. I would much rather he not be on the field, forcing Flacco to look elsewhere. Basically, he has become too much of a security blanket for Joe imo.
  16. Thanks Bud.
  17. I get your drift and I agree with your summarization of that play. But this is a ongoing issue since Pees took over, and it not only affects one play but, usually a complete drive or multiple drives at the end of games as was the case with Pittsburg. I don't doubt that our pass rush has a serious effect on the zone coverage but, I feel the problem goes much deeper than that and I struggle to understand why they can't fix it.
  18. I'm with ya Tank. I think they see a thread with Flacco's name in it and it's like, let's rush to go bash it. Obviously, some people live to just complain.
  19. Does anyone know when the state of the team address is to be scheduled? I haven't seen anything on it yet.
  20. For a appreciation thread, this one sure went south quickly.
  21. The difficult task is that we have to face 6 of the playoff teams from this season.
  22. Why is this team so bad late in the game while in zone coverage? I don't understand how it can happen. It's not like we are trying to run exotic zone schemes. These are basic zones that every team runs for the most part and every player should have a complete understanding of the concept coming out of college. May be we don't have the talent or the speed to run an effective zone along with the coaches not placing enough emphasis on it and holding players accountable. With years of running an ineffective zone late in games you would figure they would find a way to fix it.
  23. Yeah, I don't see anything happening either. I think the next time you see any coach leave this team is when Bisciotti finally decides to dump the entire staff. Mediocrity is here to stay, at least for a while.
  24. It would surprise me if they didn't get to work on Kyle's contract right away. He would be one of the easier signings to get out of the way early along with Guy's.
  25. I thought it would probably end this way. It's difficult for a player to go from being a starter to being a 4th option in one year. I don't blame him for wanting an opportunity to start.
