  1. Well the pressure is off to maintain that celebrated #1 ranking since we went from #1 to #4 in ypg and #2 to #4 in points. It's amazing to me that kind of change can take place in week 14 but, I guess when you give up almost 500 yds and 30 points in one game, it's justified. We are what we are.
  2. Man, I just don't want to even here the word playoffs anymore. Yesterdays loss destroyed me.
  3. I guess I should count my blessings as I had an aneurysm myself in 2001. RIP Konrad, far too young to be taken. Prayers go out to family and friends. Hope we don't lose anyone else this year, three taken is three too many.
  4. For me, this entire game was down right ugly from the get go. It was so bad, I couldn't stand to watch anymore so I turned it off at the half.
  5. Boy was I wrong, maybe I should have posted the pool pic this week, oh well.
  6. Not too sure I agree as they are a different team with a healthy Green in the lineup. Also, Dalton has played well the last two games completing 72% of his passes.
  7. Just caught this on PFT. Could cause some issues for Pittsburgh this coming week. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2016/12/12/a-j-green-expected-to-return-to-practice-field-wednesday/
  8. If it stays consistent with Sunday games, it's usually 1 1/2 hours before the game.
  9. I know many here (me included) don't care for much of Jon Gruden's analysis. Here is a interview he did with the Sun where he has some good insight to tonight's game. http://www.baltimoresun.com/sports/ravens/ravens-insider/bal-jon-gruden-talks-ravens-patriots-play-of-ravens-defense-20161210-story.html
  10. I would totally agree with you if NE had beaten teams with winning records outside their division. The only teams they have beaten with a winning record is Miami and Pittsburgh (without Roethlisberger). The Miami game was in wk2 before Ajayi got going. I assume that if Ben had been healthy, they may have not won that game or at least it would have been much closer. NE only won by 11 against the Steelers backup. The only other team they played with a winning record was Seattle, who they lost to. They may have more wins but, they're really not any better than us because we beat Pitt and Miami as well. They just had a more favorable schedule with facing their own week division along with the NFC west and the AFC north. Just a little sidenote: Both games that NE has lost this year came at the big razor.
  11. Can't say the writing isn't on the wall anymore. The time is now to show up, play our hearts out and take it to them all game long with mistake free execution and championship play like there's no tomorrow. We can do this! Just go out and flame their arses.
  12. I totally agree Mili. We don't need to concern ourselves with what other teams are or aren't doing. We need to put all of our efforts towards what's in front of us. Winning the next three is all that truly matters starting with this game tonight and if we accomplish that, there is nothing anyone else can do to take it away from us,
  13. That was a pitiful game for Buffalo in all 3 phases of the game. The final score shouldn't have been as close as it was.
  14. I feel for you bud. You are a better man than me in that respect as I wouldn't be able to handle it.
  15. Sorry but I don't agree. A cap increase of 8 to 10m annually only scratches the surface of what is required to retain players coming off of rookie deals. After this season we will have 10 free agents. For the sake of example, let's say the team would like to retain 4 of the 10 (Williams, Wagner, Juszczyk and Guy) and not release any other players presently under contract. I don't feel you will be able to sign those 4 with that kind of increase. Williams would take most if not all of it himself. In addition, the NFL sets the guideline for players salaries by position with the franchise tag values, which increase annually as well. Using those values or close to them realistically can't be done for all players not on rookie deals because it would far exceed the present cap levels.
  16. Agreed but the cap never increases enough to cover the annual increases in players salaries. That's why it continues to become more & more difficult each year to retain players on 2nd contracts.
  17. I'm in absolute awe. I'd bet the legendary Brady doesn't even have to where a cup in his jock. He's never been too concerned with deflated balls in the past.
  18. I actually found this amusing. Props but you should have posted it in the JE swagger article, it would have been better there.
  19. It is awesome to be this healthy at this point of the season. It means so much for this final run. Win the next three and the final game won't matter. Lewis can fill in for Yanda then to give him a break before the WC game.
  20. We are getting hot at the right time. No team has gone into NE and played with more heart and had more success than the Ravens have during the Harbs/Flacco era. There is no team other than the Ravens that NE doesn't want to face in their house. I have all the faith in the world that our guys will go up there and put on a show. The only team NE has beaten with a winning record this season outside their own division is the Steelers, without Roethlisberger playing.
  21. There has to be a reason why these two chose to stay in Baltimore as opposed to going to NE. Especially SSS, who has never been on a superbowl winning team. Obviously, his chances would have been greater there if that is important to him. Maybe the rumors are true that here, the players can be themselves. Where in NE it must be way more regimented and BB must be truly more domineering then the outside world thinks.
  22. @football knowledge I meant no offense and none was taken. With that said, I won't say this is a easy win because it isn't. What i said and will continue to say is that I don't feel it will be overly difficult, meaning I don't expect us to struggle. I admit that I've viewed a few of your games this year, and I don't recall seeing much production out of Hogan and Mitchell during those games. My understanding is that Mitchell has only recently had some success. Most of the plays I've seen went to Gronk, Amendola, Edelman, Bennett and Your RB's. You guys are hurting presently with some of your top weapons out or playing injured which does give us a slight advantage. I have no problem in acknowledging that BB and his QB are the greatest of this era and it's mainly because they work so well with each other. Except against the Ravens, your QB has historically struggled somewhat throwing 10 TD's to 10 picks with 2 fumbles and Flacco is enjoying a 16 TD's to 8 Picks advantage in our games to date. No doubt, the Ravens always get up to play the Pats but history rarely determines outcomes in future games. You should be able to admit as well that your competition this year has been soft for the most part, with the exception of Seattle to date. That's why you are 10-2 and the #1 seed. I will wish you luck as well as we expect it to be one hell of a battle.
  23. I may be a little optimistic but, I really am not seeing this game as being too difficult. I mean we are facing a beat up NE team with two of their best ballers out in Gronk and Amendola. Bennett is playing injured and has done very little recently. That leaves Edelman, Hogan, Mitchell and their RB's which I feel we can hang with. As well, I doubt they gash us running the ball. Really, who has NE beaten this year that would make us sweat this game. They play in one of the weakest divisions where they have little competition. Outside of that, they beat the Cards, Texans, Rams, 49ers, Browns, Cincy, and the Steelers without Ben. Their loses have come against the Bills and Seattle, both in NE. As long as we don't shoot ourselves in the foot with busted coverages, stupid penalties, dropped passes or missed blocks, I like our chances.
  24. I like our chances in this game and I'm not sweating NE at all. They are down two of their best playmakers in Gronk & Amendola. Bennett is playing injured and hasn't done much of late with 6 completions for 40 yards over the last 3 games. So they are left with Edelman, Hogan and the rook Mitchell to carry the load and I feel we can run with them. Plus, who has NE faced this year? They always dominate their own division. Outside their division with the Jets, Bills and Dolphins, they have faced the Cards, Texans, 49rs, Rams, Browns, Cincy, a Roethlisberger-less Steelers and the Seahawks who they lost to in NE. That schedule is gravy, for the most part. As long as we don't beat ourselves with missed blocks, dropped passes, blown coverages and stupid penalties, I see no reason we don't bring home a win.
  25. I like our chances. As long as we don't beat ourselves, we should be able to bring home a W.
