I wish our defense could stop giving career days to the opposing QB. Worst pass defense of all time?

Blaming the offense for not scoring more is like eating the entire pie and then saying "If you all wanted some, you should've ordered two". One should've been enough.

When you have no receiving threats, your passing game is playing uphill. The defense is free to blitz and disguise coverages because they have nothing to worry about in the secondary. You're not gonna see creative blitzes against a team with Dez Bryant or the like, unless you also want to see a TD. It makes playing QB a lot harder. You can look at the great QBs around the league and not see INTs like the one against Pittsburgh, but you also won't see them play coverages like that.

We really needed some sort of deep threat to keep defenses honest, even if he is a "nobody". We turn nobodies into somebodies.

He is a deep threat WR. I love this acquisition.

Webb's been his worst against deep routes. He lost his top end speed and has to back off the LOS to compensate. It makes the comeback route an easy completion. I think the slot is his best bet, as long as there's a safety deep. He's always been good at reading routes.

A few years ago, the NFL changed the spot of the refs to crack down on offensive holding. NO qb is comfortable having their back to the defense from under center anymore. Look at what happened to Schaub and Peyton when they played Kubiak's style. Joe was the only QB last year to play a significant number of snaps from under center, and considering that fact, he's played pretty well. When we put him in shotgun he's a much better QB - as anyone would be.

I might be wrong but I think the offensive line needs to focus on zone blocking. I know it was said that we wanted to push teams around too. It didn't work.
