@nebraska its already on the ravens fb page. comments about flaccos contract tearing the team apart are just piling up. im so glad the people on these forums arent that stupid

    3. TDubbs

      TDubbs

Hilarious that people still think it's all Flaccos fault w/ the contract. Seems A-Rod and the Packers do just fine w/ his cap hit and keeping guys like Nelson/Cobb

  2. i dont think ive ever been this excited about an offseason cut. this greg jennings release is the type of thing ozzie waits for every offseason, and he has always been one of my favorite wr's, hes being undervalued after playing on a scrub offense for 2 years. BRING HIM ABOARD OZZIE!

    1. paulhs94

      paulhs94

I'd prefer Dwayne Bowe over Greg Jennings. Bowe is a big receiver who can go up and get the ball, kind of like Boldin.

  4. mayocks word is generally pretty respected, but have you seen his new rankings? alot of it is questionable at best, some of it is downright headscratching like armstead over brown and collins over peters and breshad perriman over agholor/dorsett/smith/strong. he must be obsessed with raw project players all of a sudden

    1. RavensFanMania

      RavensFanMania

He also has Mariota over Winston. Now I'm not a fan of either QB, but I'm just not a fan of Mariota. Not sure if he can transition to a pro style offense. I tend to like Mayock over Kiper and McShay, but that's really not a stretch I always watch the draft on NFL Network.

    2. hn68wb4

      hn68wb4

I agree with Raine, the first two are head scratching but Perriman over those other receiver isn't very shocking. While i don't agree with it, i can certainly admit out of those receivers he may have the highest ceiling

    3. JoeyFlex5

      JoeyFlex5

perriman over strong is understandable because of his quick twitch ability to gain separation, and really the only thing he has over devin smith is a larger body of work and some better YAC, i dont understand him being ranked ahead of dorsett and agholor though, to me they are without question FAR superior to perriman

  5. john elway has probably bypassed the irsays in terms of hatred in baltimore. why does this team always have some huge problem to deal with and massive turnover every year? im sick of it. now hes gonna clean out the offensive coaching staff and we are gonna have to start from scratch.

    1. JoeyFlex5

      JoeyFlex5

agreed, the rest of baltimore might feel differently lol

I personally believe that we should feel that it worked out for the best! It brought the best franchise in Football to Baltimore! Screw the Colts! RavensNation!

The best team no matter what happens is US. We are the loyal ones. Disarray and confusion happens North on I-95 Their radio stations are limited, their jocks and fan base are typically boring.

  6. i wonder who is going to be the first player on IR because of a hangnail or a scraped knee, so far our entire IR is actually injured, a rare feat for the ravens.

  7. i cringed watching that OTA video of jimmy smith.. he practically runs on his toes, how someone can suffer a lisfranc injury, have it surgically repaired, and ever have the stomach to perform on it like that in less thana year, is beyond me.

    1. JoeyFlex5

      JoeyFlex5

he looked like a machine out there, now we just need to hope wagner can recover like that from th same injury. when i get a slight strain in the arch in my foot i start asking for a wheelchair lmao i cant even fathom doing what these guys do

  9. board members mock drafts come in spurts, you get like 5 or 6 in the span of 2 days and then they disappear for a month. i really enjoy seeing other posters' mocks and im hoping theres one more flurry of them before the real thing

    1. hn68wb4

      hn68wb4

I'd like to do another but I'm swamped and I wouldn't feel comfortable without explaining the reasoning behind each of my picks. I just don't think I'll have time to put another mock together.

    2. JoeyFlex5

      JoeyFlex5

ive done way too many which is why i wont be doing another. the last mock i did i think was the THIRD time ive done a "final" mock draft and i gotta stick to it this time lol

    3. NebraskaRavensFan44

      NebraskaRavensFan44

There's been so many, it's hard to find any originality. Maybe I should do 1 more with us taking an O-Lineman in the 1st and see how people react lol.

  10. the byron jones is seriously picking up steam, what exactly is he considered? a cb or a s? and ill admit i dont know much about the kid but is he a jack of all trades or is he really just good enough to play lights out at either position?

    1. Dewy101

      Dewy101

Hes a CB no question about that. He's a bit raw imo relied a lot on his athleticism(which is off the charts), I think his upside is too great to pass up on if he's available at 26 we take him. Its going to take a while for him to great down proper technique but he may end up being the best CB in the draft. Great character too.

    2. Orange_Peanut

      Orange_Peanut

With his athleticism he probably could play CB at a high level. It is a steep learning curve for the safety position and relying solely on athleticism won't cut it.

    3. polynesian15

      polynesian15

Plus Jimmy, who struggled a bit himself in his early years, will be around to mentor the kid. I'd love a cb in the first. It would redeem our weak secondary from a year ago, together with the Lewis signing etc.

  11. More dropped passes! I generally back up Ozzie but man i did not want perriman. Oh well at least we didn't take Landon Collins. Really wanted Malcolm brown tho, I can't believe he's still on the board

    1. Orange_Peanut

      Orange_Peanut

Finally everyone can shut up about Ozzie being scared of drafting WR in the first round. Still, I'm very disappointed with this pick.

    2. glen ferguson

      glen ferguson

This is a great pick.Alot of upside, welcome to training camp. Now go catch ball from that jug machine.

    3. redrum52

      redrum52

From what I've seen he at least catches with his hands. He attacks the ball with his hands instead of waiting for the ball to come to him. If nothing else, the defense will at least fear his speed early on.

  14. ready to stop badmouthing elam?? LOOK AT THAT STRIP!

    1. Stephenjr

      Stephenjr

Elam is terrible! One play doesn't make up for 20 missed tackles in the game!

    2. JoeyFlex5

      JoeyFlex5

i must have been too busy watching franks get torched to notice elams play

  15. my elam jersey didnt make it in time, so im stuck with a T shirt in myrtle beach for the preseason opener. talking to local panthers fans ive noticed theyre pretty salty about smitty being on another team lolololol

haha yea i was downing them at a dangerous pace, and it turns out backfinz closed down last summer, i called the backfinz in wake forest by accident because i was driving everywhere trying to find it and they told me

  16. kyle arrington is a raven. jesus god almighty ozzie is the greatest to ever do it. didnt budge in the free agent frenzy, didnt budge on his draft board, and then got the absolute PERFECT fit for our situation without counting against the comp picks. dudes got a crystal ball

    1. NebraskaRavensFan44
    2. RavensFanMania

      RavensFanMania

Crystal ball is a pretty good way at describing it. He's absolutely amazing, but lets not give him all the credit. Eric DeCosta and the rest of the staff are amazing as well.

  17. so they call the infamous push off on steve smith at cinci, but dont call a much more blatant one on gates right there? 2 weeks in a row ive seen it

    1. Jokerraven

      Jokerraven

i didnt hear about that, wow. this is ridiculous.

  18. man, we can say all we want about torrey's inconsistencies or whatever, but he has been a huge part of our history as a franchise, and he is one of the true good guys of the league, youll be missed torrey. the business side of this sucks.

    1. TDubbs

      TDubbs

Hes a true professional in every sense of the word. I'am happy for him, and his family ... Cant fault him for trying to get as much $$ as he can while he can.

    2. JoeyFlex5

      JoeyFlex5

the contract after the rookie deal is an NFL players pay day, not getting the most you can out of that contract could cripple a persons financial situation for the rest of their life. cutthroat business unfortunately.

  19. just saw the williams and jernigan video... brandon williams just cant be human.

    1. Sami84

      Sami84

I'd like him to get at 4-6 sacks this year...too strong to only have 1.5 in his career so far.

    2. Tank 92

      Tank 92

BW is a superbeast! can't wait to see him destroying the core of opposing offenses.

  20. 2 consecutive home games i just get handed free tickets, but this time im 8 rows from the field and get a parking pass also. score.

  21. Okay draft geeks, time for all of our discussions from the past 3 months to make themselves completely moot!

    1. polynesian15

      polynesian15

At what time does it start?

  22. the draft is too far away

    1. juanman7

      juanman7

It's easier when you just think free agency is 2 and a half weeks away, and then when that happens the draft is only a month and three weeks away....who am I kidding it really is far away. I think the draft should be the end of March and the offseason program should move up or at least players and coaches should be allowed to train and practice together, things would be so much better.

  23. mcphee just literally got tackled as soon as the ball was snapped. didnt know that was legal blocking procedure

    1. beasy2487

      beasy2487

He was blatantly held for the entire second half of the the Chargers game as well. Not a big enough name to get those calls just yet.

  24. just watched jason lacanforas interview with ryan mink. im so glad that he made it big, he is hands down one of the most knowledgeable and logical reporters out there, and he comes from the maryland area so we finally have some representation. while analysts talk cluelessly about the ravens, la canfora is there to clear the air and put the FACTS out there.

  25. we werent supposed to win this game, we all know what happens when we start winning playoff games that we cant win...
