  1. when steve smith retires, and if camp/waller/carter all make the roster, then our wr corps numbers would be: 11, 14, 15, 16, 17, and 18.

I believe he will retire after he brings the ravens to a win in super bowl 50, the Ravens have the talent and the players to make it.

  2. just saw the williams and jernigan video... brandon williams just cant be human.

I'd like him to get at 4-6 sacks this year...too strong to only have 1.5 in his career so far.

BW is a superbeast! can't wait to see him destroying the core of opposing offenses.

  3. i cringed watching that OTA video of jimmy smith.. he practically runs on his toes, how someone can suffer a lisfranc injury, have it surgically repaired, and ever have the stomach to perform on it like that in less thana year, is beyond me.

  5. kyle arrington is a raven. jesus god almighty ozzie is the greatest to ever do it. didnt budge in the free agent frenzy, didnt budge on his draft board, and then got the absolute PERFECT fit for our situation without counting against the comp picks. dudes got a crystal ball

Crystal ball is a pretty good way at describing it. He's absolutely amazing, but lets not give him all the credit. Eric DeCosta and the rest of the staff are amazing as well.

  7. really sad to hear about dante fowler.

  8. a few picks had me scratching my head in day 3, but overall we absolutely NAILED this draft, straight up home run(on paper at least) the last 2 drafts looks like the beginning of another super bowl in the near future

no no no, we want that 5th year option. Besides we won't need anymore picks as we should have 2 4th and a 5th round comp pick next year. We are already at 10 picks.

  10. while im thrilled about carl davis, im still super bummed about not trading up for harold or mauldin, love those guys for this team with their first step, burst, and motor.

I'm not worried at all, because I know Ozzie knows what he is doing. Today is the day, plus we also picked up Lewis to play FS in free agency.

The difference with Ozzie is that in the 3rd round on he continues staying true to his board and many other teams start drafting for need, which causes many players to be overdrafted and others to fall into our laps, ie Carl Davis. What a steal!

    3. JoeyFlex5

      JoeyFlex5

yeah carl davis and maxx williams are mega steals, although i think the true steal of the 3rd round was harold and i really thought we were gonna get him, i still wished we traded up to secure him but im excited as hell about having 3 4ths and 2 5ths with all these players still on the boards. hoping we get derron smith, double dip at wr with diggs, bell, mcbride, or hardy, and get some OL depth or kyle emanuel

      RavensFanMania

Not sure if you know, but I used to be a Skins fan (season ticket holder) and couldn't take it anymore. This is my first draft as a Ravens fan and what a Doozy. I've been a Ravens fan since week 8 2014.

  11. GrimCoconut, how sad are you to see devin smith go to the WR graveyard that is the jets?

  12. More dropped passes! I generally back up Ozzie but man i did not want perriman. Oh well at least we didn't take Landon Collins. Really wanted Malcolm brown tho, I can't believe he's still on the board

    1. Orange_Peanut

      Orange_Peanut

Finally everyone can shut up about Ozzie being scared of drafting WR in the first round. Still, I'm very disappointed with this pick.

    2. glen ferguson

      glen ferguson

This is a great pick.Alot of upside, welcome to training camp. Now go catch ball from that jug machine.

    3. redrum52

      redrum52

From what I've seen he at least catches with his hands. He attacks the ball with his hands instead of waiting for the ball to come to him. If nothing else, the defense will at least fear his speed early on.

  13. I am begging someone to take Landon Collins because I want him off the board by the time we pick. I don't want another reckless tackling strong safety on this team we have plenty of those already

  14. Ok, I am more about. Trade back rather than a trade up, but if Dupree makes it to Phillis pick at 20th we gotta trade up, I didn't expect him to fall this far

  15. Okay draft geeks, time for all of our discussions from the past 3 months to make themselves completely moot!

just dont go to alehouse columbia, they mute the tv's and play starbucks music instead.

  17. the byron jones is seriously picking up steam, what exactly is he considered? a cb or a s? and ill admit i dont know much about the kid but is he a jack of all trades or is he really just good enough to play lights out at either position?

    1. Dewy101

      Dewy101

Hes a CB no question about that. He's a bit raw imo relied a lot on his athleticism(which is off the charts), I think his upside is too great to pass up on if he's available at 26 we take him. Its going to take a while for him to great down proper technique but he may end up being the best CB in the draft. Great character too.

    2. Orange_Peanut

      Orange_Peanut

With his athleticism he probably could play CB at a high level. It is a steep learning curve for the safety position and relying solely on athleticism won't cut it.

    3. polynesian15

      polynesian15

Plus Jimmy, who struggled a bit himself in his early years, will be around to mentor the kid. I'd love a cb in the first. It would redeem our weak secondary from a year ago, together with the Lewis signing etc.

  18. mayocks word is generally pretty respected, but have you seen his new rankings? alot of it is questionable at best, some of it is downright headscratching like armstead over brown and collins over peters and breshad perriman over agholor/dorsett/smith/strong. he must be obsessed with raw project players all of a sudden

He also has Mariota over Winston. Now I'm not a fan of either QB, but I'm just not a fan of Mariota. Not sure if he can transition to a pro style offense. I tend to like Mayock over Kiper and McShay, but that's really not a stretch I always watch the draft on NFL Network.

    3. hn68wb4

      hn68wb4

I agree with Raine, the first two are head scratching but Perriman over those other receiver isn't very shocking. While i don't agree with it, i can certainly admit out of those receivers he may have the highest ceiling

    4. JoeyFlex5

      JoeyFlex5

perriman over strong is understandable because of his quick twitch ability to gain separation, and really the only thing he has over devin smith is a larger body of work and some better YAC, i dont understand him being ranked ahead of dorsett and agholor though, to me they are without question FAR superior to perriman

  19. board members mock drafts come in spurts, you get like 5 or 6 in the span of 2 days and then they disappear for a month. i really enjoy seeing other posters' mocks and im hoping theres one more flurry of them before the real thing

    1. hn68wb4

      hn68wb4

I'd like to do another but I'm swamped and I wouldn't feel comfortable without explaining the reasoning behind each of my picks. I just don't think I'll have time to put another mock together.

    2. JoeyFlex5

      JoeyFlex5

ive done way too many which is why i wont be doing another. the last mock i did i think was the THIRD time ive done a "final" mock draft and i gotta stick to it this time lol

    3. NebraskaRavensFan44

      NebraskaRavensFan44

There's been so many, it's hard to find any originality. Maybe I should do 1 more with us taking an O-Lineman in the 1st and see how people react lol.

  20. just watched jason lacanforas interview with ryan mink. im so glad that he made it big, he is hands down one of the most knowledgeable and logical reporters out there, and he comes from the maryland area so we finally have some representation. while analysts talk cluelessly about the ravens, la canfora is there to clear the air and put the FACTS out there.

  21. just wrote up a full mock draft and didnt even post it because i feel like ive posted too many of them already. the draft is just too far away.

  22. i am convinced dorsett is the best wr option for this team. a trade up for him in the 2nd would be worth it even if we had to give up our 3rd for it.

      ravensnick

we'd be losing even more value by losing a 3rd rounder

    3. JoeyFlex5

      JoeyFlex5

if it means getting dorsett then i dont think were losing value at all. like i said i think getting dorsett in the early 2nd will have a much better impact than whoever we would get in the 2nd+3rd. wr needs to be addressed in the draft more than any other position and it isnt even close, we wont have a shot at doing that by picking at the tail end of every round, and after the mid 2nd the talent gets thin at wr, while there is good depth at many other positions such as cb and dl.

    4. glen ferguson

      glen ferguson

my first time commenting on this site. im from ontario canada and have been in love with the baltimore ravens since 2000. my take o this years draft is sliding out of the first round and getting an early second round pick to acquire phillip dorset and double up later at wr with someone like darren waller.i think this kid would be a tremendous asset in the red zone. also draft a cb with our original 2nd round pick. love tevin coleman rb too. if we can get these guys i would do it.

  24. nfl.com has a bracket tournament of the greatest game of all time. mile high miracle isnt on there but the 2000 MNF between the jets and dolphins is. "so kewl a olineman caught a td pass in overtime in a game between 2 mediocre teams" smh

    4. JoeyFlex5

      JoeyFlex5

mile high miracle certainly is easily in the conversation for greatest football game ever played, without question. and yea the 58 ship is on there. it literally seems every "great" team has about 3 or 4 games each. its filled with raiders, niners, miami, giants, steelers, pats, and colts, everything else is an afterthought
