    brandon merriweather is the type of person that caused goodell to make these helmet rules that we complain about. this guy needs to be out of the league, period, he has shown repeatedly that he is nothing but a hazard to the players around him, he doesnt know how to get low, doesnt care about form, doesnt use his arms or shoulders, he just launches his helmet at opponents heads and hopes it works. he needs to be gone from this league.

      Ive personally lost count on how many players this guy has injured. He knows what he's doing.

      @tank technically what he did to pierce was perfectly legal, TECHNICALLY, because helmet hits are allowed on a well established ball carrier, the rule is more to protect defenseless receivers, it was still dirty, with no type of technique to it, and possibly gave a concussion in the preseason

      yeah, but the new rule is not just on defenseless receivers, it's any player, O or D. I had forgotten that it's still legal inside the tackle box. That stipulation was for the RBs, but I guess it covers the D as well.
