  1. Sounds like I won't be happy this Thursday
  2. Everything seems to be "tweet us what you think" and then corny jokes aimed at each other
  3. NFL network used to be so great too. Back when rich eisen, prime, mooch, and Irvin did total access and Adam schefter and lacanfora were the primary breaking news reporters... the nostalgia hurts, I watched NFL network all day every day
  4. His skillset is far superior though. Correa was all burst and motor in college, reddick has some very real bend and lightning quick footwork to keep him clean, along with really long arms and a low center of gravity that he uses both very well to create some solid speed to power rushes. And a huge aspect that goes unnoticed here is that correa takes blockers head on and gets stonewalled, reddick doesn't do that, he works one shoulder of the tackle and never allows them to square up and engage cleanly.
  5. I like the gennessee pick, don't see that often around here but he's a decent OT prospect and I could really see us taking him in the middle
  6. lets get down to it. im not big on most of the first round cb's, i have a negative bias of bama corners, im not a huge fan of jalen tabor, im up and down on adoree jackson, however, i LOVE desmond king, pretty big fan of tre'davious white, king is a mid first prospect atm and white is late first-early second. IF we land in the top 10, adoree jackson is the only one i would take, i think all of the first round cb's aside from king will end up overdrafted. second round, i like sidney jones and quincy wilson, great value picks for both of them. as for safeties, i havent looked into malik hooker yet, but as much as i love jabrill peppers i think he represents a lot of what we dont need, we dont need another tweener who is just average in coverage and likely too small to play his college role in the NFL. i see desmond king as a very viable safety, i dont like marcus maye at all. proceed...
  7. I'd say Barnett and mike williams is tops, then I'll say cam Robinson, Marlon Humphrey and Corey Davis are in some order after. I think cam Robinson or Corey Davis are the best bets for 3rd place with the others taking a backseat
  8. Because I'm not seeing this lack of play recognition, I see him diagnosing plays before the qb even pulls back his arm often
  9. I don't recall many liking the upshaw pick. I personally despised it. But as the years went I grew to appreciate his role on this team, he was a bully and a tonesetter. Not worth his draft status but a solid contributor
  10. Fournette. Obviously lol
  11. I'm just not really seeing those similarities. Elam was a head and shoulder tackler, peppers is a great form tackler. Elam actually got to play coverage snaps in college and looked bad in all of them and only made plays when he came near the line, peppers has been used as a LB and was rarely given coverage assignments. Elams plays came when he had time to make them, like backs bouncing a run outside and he had time to come down to meet the back, peppers is actually diagnosing plays and sniffing out the ball before it's delivered, he's just never given a chance to do it in intermediate or deep coverage.
  12. Let's hope NFL gms are as stupid as us
  13. His usage at Michigan didn't allow him to show any kind of coverage ability. He was used almost exclusively as a blitzer and to sniff out screens and spy mobile qbs. I see a universal skill set from peppers that applies to any position, and that's instincts, explosion, and aggressive textbook form tackling. You put a guy with those skills just about anywhere on he field and he can make an impact
  14. Wait did fournette really fall that far?
  15. Can you tell me why you grade him so lowly? I don't want us to take peppers btw just asking, because I think he's better than given credit for
  16. Peppers was a game time decision injury.
  17. Not his fault somebody inexplicably took mahomes at 6...
  18. Wr is probably the most dire for now and the future. Edge rusher has a pretty bleak future, if Judon does well then we should be ok for now the OL is probably the most important dire area of need.
  19. with the third pick, the chicago bears select: Malik Hooker, S, OSU. (rumor has it theyre dead set on a db and they like both safeties over lattimore)
  20. Vary comprehensuv fren, do me a heckin impress
  21. Abandon the inside zone, it doesn't work unless your line has a very specific skill set. Use the damn speed we have on offense. Our qb has probably the 2nd strongest cannon in the league, no need to emphasize hitting fast guys in stride on crossing routes when our receivers can get downfield in a hurry and our qb can get it there with a flick of the wrist just take pitta off the field so joe can't default to him all the time use pre snap motions for once
  22. I would hope that if we made a move for a guy like him that our coaches are smart enough to just get the boy the damn ball lol. I don't exactly have faith in that either but I like to think we can. We all know joe plays less shaky when he has a reliable dump target and he doesn't feel like he has to force throws constantly, I think Samuel would be lethal in a short range route tree, and joe would get real comfortable with him, and then you always sprinkle in the deep routes and the outlet routes where he just chills in the flats or the hash marks threatening the defense like we used to do with ray rice. It makes sense to worry about our coaches using him right, but designed dumpoffs have always been something we use a lot of, and giving joe a true wr who also plays rb could get us back to those big gainers on broken plays.
  23. I've somewhat grown on taco, but cautiously. his upside is tremendous, I love how fast he closes in on the ball at his size, but he lacks the disengaging skills I'd like to see from a big long edge rusher. We might not like taco as a rookie, but don't get it twisted he can be special if he takes well to coaching and learns some disengagement.
  24. Damn. He's a guy I was hoping would slip through the cracks due to being a tweener. Id love to have him in the third. Was watching some film on elflein and kept catching myself looking away to follow Samuel, he just looks so dangerous the way he moves, so fast and fluid and explosive and agile
  25. So does anyone have the slightest idea on Curtis samuels stock? Because I think he could be really special
