  1. translation im making stuff up lol
  2. we tried press and lafell got behind melvin for a TD lol. we tried man to man and amendola beat elam for a TD which was a huge mismatch. Heck we tried being aggressive and got beat by that trick play. TBH if we did what some are suggesting here it might have been a blow out ....
  3. ow you know somebody. that has to make it credible then So why has the team and harbaugh decided to stop addressing this issue then? They had no trouble bringing it up in 2012 and 2013 before trainings camp , yet now all of sudden they have been quiet about it. Also im pretty sure neither the ravens or harbaugh would tolerate this happening during the season for 3 years and counting. Care to tell us who this person is and what his/her job with the ravens is?
  4. so what play would you call on 3rd and 2 against 4 and 5 wide receivers sets?
  5. do you have any links to back this up ? i cant find any article that suggest he had issues during the season and according to our own site the only time he had these issues was in 2012 and 2013 when he reported in over weight before OTA`s. Those where posted in June and by the time we hit Aug and Sept there where no issues at all. For 2014 there is even an article that said he reported in good shape. http://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/article-1/Courtney-Upshaw-In-Better-Shape-Looking-To-Produce/75392dbb-7a19-4900-af26-24d0eef62333 For 2015 there hasn't been anything that suggest he was in bad shape. So based on what do people think he still has weight issues? Are we seriously gonna use this against him for the rest of his career even though he seemed to have cleaned up his act? Also his upper body strength is his biggest area of strength lol. He is the strongside edge setter meaning he is taking on a double team at the point of attack taking on the TE and T. His biggest weakness is his lack of closing speed. Its the main reason why can get good pressure but no sacks.
  6. so according to you who made the call?
  7. im pretty sure people called him a bad decision maker before. especially earlier in his career. the way he played these last 3 play offs aint how he played the earlier years and he hasent been lights out every time in the regular season either. you wont find 1 person who will put on the 29-9-2013 game tape of the bills match up, who is going to argue his decision making was on point that game lol. he has grown up and become a very good QB but lets not act he was like this from day 1...
  8. 2010 the only changes where redding for edwards and carr wilson at CB. i find it amusing the only bright spot you can find is wilson lol. id say a young primed ngata. a still going strong lewis and a 32 year old reed where some pretty huge bright spots as well. heck a young suggs was a pretty bright spot as well and lets not forget we did not have PS players filling in at CB. carr and wilson are much better cbs then levine , greenwood ,melvin and whoever we tried to plug in after jimmy went down. having a guy like Reed play center field makes live alot easier for any DC then having stewart there lol. not sure if elam is that much of an upgrade over walker as a nickle corner. JJ in his prime with us was at that point a better player then upshaw in setting the edge and was much better in coverage then upshaw and doom combined. Doom is basicially just a 3rd down pass rush specialist which is a limited role although he is great at it. it bascially still limits your options using him as everyone knows he will rush the passer. TBH i dont think you will find any DC who would not rather have lewis reed and young ngata as their core instead of old ngata mosley/smith and stewart/elam/hill/ brooks .
  9. 2009: ngata edwards gregg JJ lewis mcclain/gooden suggs washington foxworth reed landry front 7 less talent? secondary less talent? 2008 Ngata Pryce and bannan JJ lewis scott suggs rolle washington reed leonhard. front 7 less talent? secondary less talent? id argue reed and lewis alone make these 2 units more talented. thrown in a young ngata and suggs, a guy like JJ, bart scott , rolle , landry, pryce , Gregg. find it hard to argue last years team had more talent lol
  10. the ravens community pretty much runs with double standards so dont expect them to change their stand on Pees or other less liked persons. Pees could have the #1 record breaking defense and yet when we lose a game by an offense turnover turned into points, they would still argue the defense gives up to many points so pees must be fired even though they where not on the field at the time of the score.
  11. pretty good read.
  12. Again i never question this lol. im asking why people keep saying oher gets alot of false start penalties while the stats and thus facts say other wise. The stats i posted say oher is getting less of those penalties to the point that in his last and although worst season he was even getting them less then Yanda. Heck im wondering why nobody is talking about Yanda getting these penalties after he lead the team the past 2 seasons with them. So far all im getting is that because Yanda is so good fans let it slide and have no problem about him getting those penalties no matter how they could affect the offense and because Oher was avg they gonna keep bringing up how many he had in his rookie season lol TBH people should just let the false start stuff go cause its certainly 1 area where Oher actually worked to clean up his act and over the course of his career it paid off with us.
  13. So basicially because yanda is great and gets paid alot fans dont care he gets false start penalties? Cause its funny that you mention Oher gets alot of false start penalties while in fact in 2014 Yanda had the most, in 2013 Yanda had the most and in 2012 Osemele had the most and Oher had only 1 more then Yanda lol. if we go by the last 3 seasons its actually Yanda who gets alot of false start pens...
  14. i know he had penalties. i never denied that. im just pointing out that its ridiculous that fans like you keep bringing up the false stats since he clearly cleaned up his act after his rookie season. im also pointing out that he had softening circumstances as well since he spend most of his career with the ravens switching between RT and LT which is far from an easy thing to do. Also is it really that hard to believe that the movie added higher expectations and pressure to him? He became a well known player before he took 1 snap in the NFL so i doubt its that far fetched him being under a microscope more then others. i thought it was common knowledge that the more popular/well known a person is the more that person will be under a microscope. and that makes it okay to get more false starts?
  15. The best player will play and brown is a better CB then arrington. also given jimmy and webb history with injuries you cant ever have to many quality CBs tbh. arrington cant play outside and well melvin got exposed real bad so yeah we are still 1 injury away from having a huge downgade at CB.
  16. true but dont forget that Webb is pretty good in the slot and thus brown can come in and play outside with jimmy and the webb slides to the slot. we used him this way before and he played great. will depend on his mobility though
  17. brown is not bad at all. would battle for the 3rd spot.
  18. you was talking about false starts at first. you only switched to penalties in general later on.....
  19. also lets not forget this guy was switching between LT and RT quite often during the season quite often which isent an easy task for any player and never complained 1 bit.
  20. He means that the movie added a lot more pressure and expectations then others received. He was a high profile player before he took 1 snap in the NFL. lets have a look. 2010 Oher had 8 heap was closest 2nd with 4. 2011 Oher had 5 false starts with mckinnie having 4 birk having 3 yanda having 2 2012 Oher had 4 false starts and got alot of flak for it which was hilarious cause nobody was on Yanda who had 3 lol. Heck Osemele had 6 that season yet everyone was bashing Oher. Heck 2013 Yanda had 5 false starts and Oher only 3 but again Oher is labeld mister false starts.... 2014 Yanda and daniels lead the team with 4 each. There is a clear downward trend in him getting false starts called with yanda showing an increase but guess who gets labeld mister false start.....
  21. it certainly was stacked. still he got the job because thomas bolted in FA. If thomas stayed we would not be talking about JJ.
  22. thats true but on the ravens the best player plays regardless of where they where drafted. if upshaw wasent good he would not start in his rookie season nor would they trust him to run the defense. that says enough doesn't it...
  23. Being from over seas has nothing to do with this. Im from over seas and i rarely share his/her opinion....
  24. sure lets compare JJ prime to upshaw first 3 years in the league. that seems fair. lets forget he was drafted in 2003 and only became the full time starter in 2007. JJ 2003-2006 in 4 years he had: 1 int, 1 FF, 1 FR, 3 sacks, 59 tackles , 29 assist and 7 pass defended play offs: nothing upshaw 2012-2014 in 3 years regular season he had : 0 int, 1 FF, 2 FR, 3 sacks, 81 tackles, 51 assist and 5 pass defended. play offs : 1 FF, 1 sack 10 tackles and 3 assist. if upshaw was mediocre that what was JJ in his first 4 years?
