next 14 games will tell lol doubt it since we lack a pass rush with suggs gone though.

maybe melvin isent ready to comeback and tray aint ready to play which means we only have arrington webb and Jimmy as our corners? we had brooks play CB after webb missed some snaps due to injury. given webb and Jimmy history of injury its pretty wise to get depth and see where veteran CBs stand in FA lol. i see it more as them preparing for a worst case scenario incase a CB or 2 do go down.

nobody is defending the defense because they did play terrible. what is going is that people are defending Pees since for some reason he is getting all the blame with the players not being held accountable at all. heck look at the title......

man some of these fans have no respect for him at all. all they remember is the speeches and brush it off and not important but totally forget that on the field he was the best player most of the time making plays and putting everyone in the right position. the way he prepared and studied an opponent for a game was what made him great. seriously i dont get why they try to diminish what the man archieved lol.

how about you read the post i replied to for the first time in this thread? pretty sure that person was linking losing seasons to ray lewis in which i respond in saying that he was not by any chance the reason we had losing seasons. its only 2 pages of post so im really wondering how you could have missed it unless you have some personal vendetta against me Quite frankly its hilarious how someone can downright link a losing season ( team accomplishment) and a defense getting shredded(unit accomplsihment) to an individual player. Ray was pretty much an pro bowl(when it meant something) and all pro for most of his career. When he was on the field he pretty much preformed at a HOF level and thus we can go back and conclude that you wont find many games where you can pin a loss on his shoulders.

who said we did not have any losing seasons with ray lewis? my point was that the fact that we had those losing seasons had little to do with him. pretty much every season he played for us he was among the best if not the best player on the field. his resume speaks for itself. i cant see how anyone can blame a losing season on him lol

Bias? im probably the only 1 who doesent jump on and off the bandwagon every week like most of you. i never argued pees did a good job or great job last week nor the week before that. im arguing that he aint a bad DC like people like you are trying to make it seem. its not my fault most of you dont understand coverages/schemes and players responsibilities when a play is called. i dont like pees bend but dont break scheme but that does not mean i find him a bad DC. he is at this point an above avg to good DC. you guys are blaiming him for Jimmy getting beat or , webb falling down and letting crabtree score or the ILB not staying in their zone on the final TD lol. those where good play calls but players mistakes let to those TDs. you simply cant blame a DC for that. he could not know Jimmy would get beat so easily , or that webb would fall down or the ILB not being where they where told to be. if you want to blame him for anything then its for having faith in jernigan, upshaw and smith to provide a pass rush and not activating babin.

doubt it was his fault though. the defenses he lead where pretty darn good. the offenses on the other hand....

the only way he would have been able to create pressure is to send more guys then they could block. that means to send at least 6 leaving 5 in coverage. our guys had trouble covering and making tackles, heck they had trouble staying on their feet. you dont see how things could have gotten even worse? even Jimmy had trouble 1 on 1 and he was the best we had lol. he was beaten really really bad. he was not even in the position to get a hand on cooper... sending 6 would have left at least 3 guys in 1 on 1 match ups. in zone would have been even worse with all the space they would had to cover. PS i think the broncos are regretting leaving bailey alone in man cov and getting torched for 2 TD lol. it was 1 of the reasons they lost that game... starting the 2nd half he had a safety over the top lel.

i already know you are bias and hate pees so im not even going to argue with you after this. the defense was pretty darn good in the play offs. most sacks and turnovers in the play offs by a wide margin.... both luck and brady got pretty much shutout. manning had a pick 6 and lets not forget the game winning int that gave us the chance to kick the gamewinning FG in OT. 2 scores by broncos where special teams as well lol. SB 2 scores where a direct result of the offense fumbing in their own redzone and punting from their own endzone and giving up a huge return. not to mention that huge GL stance by the defense. BTW in 2012 the ravens where top 3 in redzone defense lol also they where actually #12 in points given up they gave up alot of yards but once the opponent was in the redzone they held them to FGs more often then not....

raiders have a much better o-line then broncos + no suggs= less pressure then last week = more pressure on secondary= even jimmy got burned bad by cooper and guys falling down or out of position. TBH it can be corrected and the raiders where all fired up after getting destroyed last week lol offense played much better though. so if the defense gets their act together we can still make the play offs. dont get into the widespread panic that you read lol.

you are right. their o-line was solid in pass protection last season. its a much better unit then that patchwork thing the broncos have to bad not many people know this lol

He was and he had a late hit on the last drive that gave the raiders 15 free yards which pretty much sealed OT and gave them a bigger chance to win it , in which they did. at least 21 points id chalk up to players screwing up on defense...

would you not get cautious when your best CB gets torched by a rookie? i know i would lol. even more when guys fall down and let wrs run free, while others leave their zone to freelance.... i dont really think its about him showing more respect though. a point alot of people dont realise is that the raiders have a better o-line then the broncos. they where pretty good in pass protection last season. think even among the best. the broncos on the other hand had 4 new guys starting with i think 2 being rookies and 1 guy who just got signed a week or 2 ago lol. then when you factor in that agains the broncos we still had suggs but against the raiders you have to rely on smith amd upshaw then yeah it might not be much of a suprise that we got more pressure on manning.

but is that the DC fault. he had jimmy in man cov on cooper and jimmy got beat. how can you blame pees for that lol. or webb falling down while hill left his zone on the crabtree TD? heck on the last raiders TD both ILB where supposed to cover the middle. neither smith or mosley where to be found lol. thats 3 TDs where you can argue its more the players then the DC....

its hard to blame the DC when players miss tackles or cant beat their man lol. it goes both ways. over a full season its shown he aint a bad DC and our players are putting up stats when they excecute.. it falls on both not just the DC.

truth is that he is in the top half of DC in the league lol a fact you and other keep ignoring. fact is his defense has been better then the offense for 2 out 3 seasons he has been here. fact also is that he call the plays and the players have to execute. a very important fact you are forgetting. not to mention not once did he have all his best player healthy. he was 8th in defense with PS players playing CB lol

they won more games then they blown and for the last 2 years they have been ranked higher then the offense. without them no SB lol. heck not even play offs.... how about you let me know how many they have blown

basicially without suggs the others for some reason could not create any pressure on the QB whatsoever which gave carr all the time to pick us apart. on top of that we missed tackles , played undiscipline and basicially missed any form of leadership on defense to straighten things out. To bad people are blaiming Pees for it all lol. most of the time he had the right play call but the players did not excecute. on the raiders last TD the 2 middle LBers where supposed to cover the middle of the field in zone but no idea where mosley and smith where lol. poor arrington though he had help on the inside.. only mistake he made on the play is giving the receiver a free release.

well yeah carr could not be stopped because he had all day to throw. every QB can do good when there is no pressure and they can just wait for coverage to break down. i think its more a combo of losing suggs and not being @ home to prepare. they broke with their normal routines and it showed with how sloppy they tackled and such. if we dont find a pass rusher who can take over for suggs we will be in trouble. he might not have gotten alot of sacks but he always got good pressure or at least was the focus for the o-line which lead to others like doom to have it much easier. i really hope babin got alot left and jernigan comes alive or we are doomed. defending the pass starts with getting pressure. if we are forced to blitz alot of players to get pressure the opponent is going to get alot of big play oppurtunities...

so we havent won any games since pees took over in 2012?

i have faith in perriman once he comes back. he is going to be an x-factor and in time guys like williams and waller might as well. the running game was working pretty decend yesterday untill the 2nd half started and we went away from it lol
