  1. five players make up a top in your eyes? no wonder you think flacco is a HOF. solid logic right there buddy....
  2. list all the stats. not just what fits your agenda.....
  3. did they play on the chargers? not sure what they have to do with brees and his progression?
  4. list the entire top 10. you might get a clue homer
  5. lol its obvious you are a homer. from being benched to being a pro bowler is a significant sign of progres. its just down right silly how you are acting like its not a big deal lol. its like you only started watching football from the moment flacco got drafted. seriously start practicing what you preach to others.
  6. from being benched to being a pro bowler is marginal?
  7. dude stop being a freaking homer. so going from being benched and your replacement being drafted 1st overall to going on and having a pro bowl season and winning comeback player of the year is not a sign of improvement in your eyes? he was benched in 2003 with the chargers and then came back in 2004 to do just that also on the chargers. in what world is this considerd not showing progression?
  8. Brees was a pro bowler and pro bowl alternate under Cameron in his final 2 seasons. He was bad in his first 2 seasons and improved much more in the next 2 seasons. Its called progression. if you watched him play you could see him getting better and better and understanding things more. there really is no telling if he would be a HOF worthy QB if he stayed under Cameron or went to play in another system. he was after all getting better by the season and he has shown he had very little issue moving to a new system after he went to the saints. the fact that you saw him improve leaps and bounds through the years says enough. if he was terrible al 4 seasons under cameron and then improved all of a sudden under payton then yes you would make a very good point. however that was not the case. under Cameron he started as an avg QB and became a top 10 caliber QB and after that he kept getting better. he already became a good QB before he left to join the saints. also its silly to straight up just compare stats from different times lol. the NFL in 2004 was very different then it was in 2009. there where quite a few rules changes and emphasis on certain rules that favored the offense. with your logic you could argue that unitas was a terrible QB because his stats look pretty bad to what today QBs are putting up lol also lets make 1 thing very clear. a 5 wr set is much easier to defend then a 3WR1TE1 RB set. a 5 wr set you know its a pass so all you have to do is defend the pass. a 3 wr set you have to consider it can be a run as well so from the start you will be step slower as you will have to wait and see what the offense will do. PS: you where correct on the inj part, i had it mixed up.
  9. so you are saying that flacco is on the same level as drew brees in: - being able to throw accurate passes and being able to hit receivers in stride - being able to read defense - being able to make pre snap adjustments - being able to completely master a system - being able to sense pressure and move in the pocket - having good mechanics from what i see brees is simply a much better QB then flacco in pretty much every category except pure arm strength. system and players are not the only thing that separates them IMO. its IMO really crazy talk that people actually think that the system and players are the only things what separates flacco from the likes of brady brees and rodgers.
  10. Yes i believe Brees would be the same all world QB. His 2 last seasons as a Charger where under Cameron and he made the pro bowl and had top 10 stats. He actually won comeback player of the year under Cameron. Pretty good coming back after a big injury TBH. heck the Chargers just drafted his replacement after they feared he would never be able to play at a high level again. Anyone that watched him play should see it tbh. He has good mechanics. He knows how to move around in the pocket like he has eyes in his back. He can read defenses. He can make pre snap adjustments. He is pretty darn accurate with his ball placement and seems to know how to hit his receivers in stride. Im actually quite impressed with how he mastered the offense and seems to be in full control. He is not perfect in that system but he is the closest to it tbh. His abilities speak for itself. Heck when he signed with NO , he had to go to a new team , in a new city , with a new coach , new players , new coordinators, new scheme not to mention had to deal with the aftermaths of hurricane katrina. He played lights out from the start which speaks volumes on how good he really is. His talent and IQ would make him a top 10 QB in at least in any system other then the read option. Same would go for Brady and Rodgers and Peyton. They are simply just that good. There are players that transcend scheme/system.
  11. Do you think flacco would match Brees numbers if he where in that system? BTW its not a QB friendly system. Brees almost avg 40 pass attemtps per game lol
  12. yes please. ill be there for the weekend.
  13. if we dont win the SB ill be fine with beating the squeelers and beating the bungles at least once.
  14. have you considerd that gronk and hernandez put up better stats might have something to do with them being better players? i know its a pretty a wild idea. Gronk is most likely the best TE ever. Hernandez was 1 of the top rated TE in the draft but slipped due to off the field concerns. since he is locked up for murder id say those concerns where pretty justified. he would have been have gone as low as a 2nd rounder if not for those concerns. without those concerns there would be no way dickson would have gone before him lol. however it still does not negate the fact that 2 TE sets have been a staple of the NE offense since the Weis days. giving Obrien credit for it is just ridiculous. BTW NE system is to get their best players open regardless of position. That scheme is based on creating mismatches and then exploit them. heck just look at how they used vereen. They are commited to winning games. They also could care less on how they win. The beauty of that system is that it changes based on the players they have at that moment. It not a fixed system that forces players to do things that are not their strength like cameron used to do here by sending mason and boldin of all people to stretch the field.... Pats build their scheme around their players strength. Pretty much every season they change things little by little. Its why they have been so successful.....
  15. that is YOUR basis.
  16. where did i say he should execute for everyone else?
  17. flacco can put them in a better position to just that. its called pre snap adjustments. if the call is a slant route but the defender is lining to the inside should of the receiver , then by simply changing the route , he can put the receiver in a better position to gain seperation. it really does not require the receiver to run faster or gain any physical skills tbh. besides that he is a 9 year vet and SB MVP. pretty sure he can use his experience to tell receivers such as perriman and young for instance what to do in certain situations. for instance on when to continue the route when its zone or when to settle down. he does not have to do it but he can and if the players take it by heart they can become better players. heck he could try and explain to maxx how he and pitta have such a good report. it can only make maxx become a better player. for the record im not saying joe is not doing these things , im just using them as examples on how a QB can make others better.
  18. wow. so the o-line, receivers and such had/have no effect on him being good/bad? you are actually saying his entire performance was all on him and him alone and has actually been this way from day 1? dang you are the first that goes that far lol
  19. interesting. is playing up to your potential the same/better/worse then not playing up to your potental?
  20. actually you actually got what im saying. never said others can make a player more talented once lol.
  21. can you quote where i said anything about becoming more talented tnx to others? im talking about being better in relation to your teammates. wallace is better player with someone like flacco or big ben because they play to his strengths. tannehill did not. flacco is a better player when the o-line gives him time. flacco is horrible when he has less then a 2nd.
  22. so last sunday flacco is also the same guy as the flacco that won SB MVP?
  23. in a teams game the amount of talent you can show depends on the players you are surrounded with. with the right players you can become a better player and thus play at a higher level and thus live up to your full potential. with the wrong players you can be a bust and out of the league in a few years.
  24. so a player that plays better is not a better player then a player that does not play better? better a player that plays to his potential is not a better player then a player who is not playing to his potential?
  25. dalton has a pretty darn good o-line. Ryan has a decent one. Rivers o-line seems to be made out of glass tbh. think they are better this season but the previous seasons where brutal lol. .
