just ate some tresor duo choco cornflakes so quite good actually.
also we can now throw all the starting over excuses out the window and have some consistency.
will be interesting to see what the results will be.

if we did not sign them then there is no way to ask them to take a pay cut unless Ozzie contacts the other team to request them to do so which would be ridiculous to say the least.
also never heard of teams looking at other teams when it comes to discussing pay cuts.
pretty sure when it reaches this stage teams could care less what others do.
you have a point when negotiating a new contract but that was not the discussion......

prevent defense is pretty much rushing 3 dropping 8 in deep coverage.
could be wrong but i have rarely seen us doing this.
on another note the pats seems to be making a habit of doing just that and it works pretty well for them.....
Not sure why you mentioned Brees here but flacco has the same amount of INT as him but gets utterly destroyed in every other statistic.
Also you do know flacco has almost 100 more pass attempts then pretty much everyone you listed right?
I mean flacco had 672 pass attempts while wilson only had 546 yet Wilson has 1 more TD.
Tannehill attempted only 389 passes and has 1 less TD then flacco.
cam newton 510 pass attempts and 1 less TD.
not sure if you are trying to support flacco but you are making a terrible case if you want to compare him to those guys lol
wentz about the only guy you could make a case for but comparing an 9 year vet to a rookie seems pretty odd tbh....
we have been using 4 man fronts.
Pees actually prefers 4 man fronts to generate pressure.
however if none of the 4 can beat their man you get this mess we have seen this season where you have to blitz to get any pressure.
problem is that when you blitz you leave fewer people in coverage.
when you have fewer people in coverage the area players will have to cover become larger or the will be left on an island.
here is the problem cause other then jimmy none can hold their own on an island and we dont really have players with enough speed to cover alot of space nor do they have the football IQ to make up for that lack of speed.
for someone who attempted 623 passes barely scrapping 4000 yards and having 20 TD with 14 INT , im not really sure what explanation you are looking for.
he was horrible during the first part of the season which probably had something to do with the 4 game losing streak we had then.
he did not exactly light the world on fire in the 2nd part either.
he AIN'T the ONLY issue, but he will certainly be 1 of the main issues if this is what we can expect going forward.....
if they where just as talented the outcome of the duels would be 50-50.
if jernigan had 1 good play and then disappears it means he got lucky 1 time and got manhandled every other time.
also are you really suggesting that coaches are telling playing to make bonebeaded decisions?
no coach is telling their players to grab a face mask or hit the QB late unless they are running a bounty scheme orso.
those are dumb mental errors by players which is their own fault.
see this is where bmore is trying to make a point by saying people really dont know what they are seeing lol.
pees calls cover 2 for 3 quarters and it works fine and people say its good play calling
he calls the same type of play in the 4th but then it fails then all of a sudden its bad play calling.
if a play works a few times but then all of sudden fails 1 time , the issue most likely aint the play call.
if the play fails every time its called then you have a point though
during our first SB the defense was ridiculously stacked lol.
also with mattison we had a top 5 defense and that was with Ed and ray well into their 30s already so past their prime you could say.
also pees only had them during his first season as the DC in 2012 at which reed was 34 and ray 37.
you cant really expected them to be still as good as they where when they played under rex and such lol
you could actually say that the lights played a huge role in the SB as it totally resetted the game making everyone starting from scratch again.
Prior to that both the offense and defense where playing pretty darn good.
After it even the offense was terrible not only the defense.
Clutch comes down to a players football IQ.
some are able to develop it while others will keep on making the same mistakes ..
ever considered that the players we have are not as talented as they players we used to had?
or a wild guess here but the players the opponents have are simply just more talented then the players we have?
its quite interesting to see people outraged that guys like OBJ and Antonio Brown beat the living crap out of any of our CBs not named jimmy smith.
there is not 1 person on this planet that can turn wright and powers into players that will be able to lock down the likes of OBJ/Brown in single man cov like they are prime time or revis.....
offenses get paid to and at some point they will figure out how to beat an defense.
it actually says a lot that the defense manages to stop offense for 3 quarters and then break once its the 4th quarter.
after 3 quarters you pretty much have used up everything you have planned and practiced.....
if our own offense actually managed to do a something in those 3 quarters then we did not had to worry about the 4th because the game would have been out reach.
however it usually also takes our offense 3 quarters to figure out how to do a something and its the reason why we are in close games going into the 4th.
Ray Lewis and Ed Reed where what made others fear us.
Prime Ngata and Suggs also played a huge role.
We dont have those caliber players anymore and the odds are we wont every get those caliber players again on the field at the same time.
Tru11 replied to kennethyamini1989's topic in Ravens Talk
players cost money.
cap limits the money you can spend on players.
should not be to hard for you to put these things together.
pretty much impossible to build an elite offense and defense, especially when a few players take majority of the cap......
its sad to realise that 2 old timers playing with season ending injuries where still considered a better option then the young players we have waiting in line....
if your 4 rushers cant beat their 5 blockers , you are in trouble.
if their 3 rushers can beat your 5 blockers , you are also in trouble.
you can scheme all you want, in the end its the players who need to get it done.
Tru11 replied to Moderator 2's topic in Ravens Talk
the quickest way to end the game would be to score a TD and make it a 3 score game.
that is why they decided to pass on 1st down rather then run the ball and burn the clock.
with a TD it would have been a 17 point difference which means the eagles would need 3 scoring drives with at least 2 being a TD with less then 6 minutes left.
you will find very little cases of teams that where able to pull it off...
also if you want to score a TD then the worst thing you can do in that situation besides turning the ball over , is taking a sack.
the odds of the ravens scoring a TD when its 2nd and 17 are not that high.
they have a better chance when its 2nd and 10.
situational football when the game plan is to score a TD......
