Not sure how many people would not know or at least guess this...but.

    Did you know:

That Ray Lewis is not only the first Ravens rookie to record a sack, but also the first Ravens rookie to intercept a pass?

    What you may not know:

Rookie Elliott Fortune recorded the second sack ever by a Ravens rookie...in the only season he ever played in the NFL. It was the very last game of the 1996 season.

Good point, and Ray's first sack was non other than Jim Harbaugh.

  2. Grading football grades is like critiquing a movie critic's review. It's a non-story. I can appreciate that its a slow part of the season, but PFF is pretty arbitrary as is. Some things they do well, some not so well. I always take them a grain of salt, as with most stat geeks; interesting data, lack luster analysis.

I just don't see the point in righting about it.

Good point. Can August get here any faster?

  3. Joe is a curious QB to like. He doesn't fit any of the statistically great categories (excluding his playoff to super bowl run), he seems boring and not your typical leader QB, but don't be fooled. Flacco never reached 4000 yards, because he never had to. With a good defense and a good running game, when Flacco threw it was deep where completion percentages are far less than the wide receiver screen. This stretched the field which allowed Rice to be as successful as he was both running and catching out of the backfield. And of course, you don't throw in the 4th quarter with a lead, you run out the clock. He isn't a loud in your face guy but when he needs to be a loud leader, he can grab the facemask of Derrick Mason and shake him silly (which he did). He quietly provides support to his teammates and because he isn't a rah rah guy, people miss out on those things unless someone does a story on it. For those who know football, they have a lot to say about Flacco. Bellicek has been quoted as being afraid of not only Flacco's arm saying that in one play he can bring his team back but also his feet where he said he gets them for one good 15 or 20 yard run every game when the Ravens need it most. Bellicek is one of the premier coaches (behind Harbaugh) and what he says, matters. Other coaches sit back and drool over Flacco and unless they have Brady, Newton or Roethlisberger, they would love to have Flacco as their franchise QB. So while pundits and media paparazzi want the flashy qb who yells at his fellow players and breaks every passing record, the people who know football would love to have Flacco who is calm and cool in the face of pressure, has a cannon for an arm, and leads in a way that gets people to follow, he leads from the front by example.

Joe didn't grab Derrick M's face mask. I think it was the other way around

  5. Evil wayz you took the words right out of my mouth.

To add to that, what would you expect a tight end to say about his QB. For the writers, (NO) Joe is not an elite QB, the whole argument is dead. Some of the fans want to go with a cheaper option at QB. So we are arguing if we still want him on the team. Elite ? Please.

I'm just glad that " some of the fans" don't make ANY decisions about the team. That's why yhey are fans.

Why aren't the media members mentioning the fact that the cap limit is going up by 11.5 mil this year. That's over 40 mil. in the last 4 years. Ravens will get the players they want.

That's old news Jack! I believe we were actually over the cap before factoring in the cap rise

Not true. Listen to Ozzie & Harbaugh. The cap has increased 12 Mil. this year
