Man, reflecting back, where would we be without Jacoby Jones just dating back to the playoffs last year? I do not think at all that we as Ravens fans would have the same state of jubilation without him.

On another note why should a proven vet who does it all like Boldin take a hit when the quarterback just got overpaid? As much as I hate the fact that Boldin is no longer here I'm glad he didn't buckle to the Ravens front office. Why should he , when the quarterback didn't?

Yeah, I don't blame Boldin at all. Being proven, was proof positive to refuse a pay cut.

I am wondering: Did Flacco's salary put even a bigger squeeze on signing vets like Boldin?

This is managing money.

I argue that we could do a better job of that in the first place by not putting us in a position to lose a marquee player for Flacco like Boldin.

This hurts bad, we better at least have Ellerbe, Leach, and McKinnie.

Oops, I am not perfect being a human being, but we need to retain Boldin the most on our offense. He seemingly is Flacco's favorite target. So keep him on the team so Flacco can continue to flourish under Caldwell's tutelage.

Boldin is the offensive free agent that we need to retain the most. (McKinnie is also very important in my opinion.)

On defense we need to re-sign Reed and Ellerbe the most.
