  1. A great win at the right time. This one will really help the mental attitude that the team needs now to go the rest of the way through the season. Don't like seeing Campy and SSS on the hurt list though. Hopefully, by the Browns game they will be good to go. We need to get Campy in more games, The kids has the tools and should be a starter. A great win that should bring some smiles to many faces this morning.
  2. Calf injuries. Seems to be an epidemic. Have to wonder about this one a bit.
  3. Daniel Brown. Can't do any worse than Aiken or Marlon Brown and right now we need to find people that can catch the ball. I felt that once we paid Flacco all that money that it was going to cost us down the road. We are on that road right now.
  4. This is really a tough one to figure out for sure. Not. Take the guys that can catch the ball and build your offensive game plan around those players. The guys that you cannot rely on are dead weight if they cannot do the job. CAN THEM. Grab a few free agent WR's that are out there. You may just find one that will work out. Give a few a chance to see what they can do. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. At least try to fix the problem and not just stick with a lame offense for the remainder of the season.
  5. To me a lot of this falls directly on coaching. Harbs hates penalties and we all know that. But, what is he doing to send a message to those who keep getting flagged? These guys are killing momentum and drives. I can't buy that they are trying to hard and the result is mistakes. Are they Pros or not? 31 other teams mange to control this type of thing a lot better than we do. True, Officiating is getting more critical of infractions. They are focused on preventing head injuries so much that they are throwing flags at everything no matter the severity of the infraction. This in time is going to ruin the game to an extent and the fan base will begin to throw in the towel. Ticket sales will begin to decline just as they have in NASCAR. we all know that you can control the outcome of a game with the yellow flag. We see it weekly now more than ever. The NFL needs to work on this facet of the game or face the consequences down the road.
  6. Perriman is not going to save the schedule and be of any significant help to the team. He is and will be for some time a large question mark. Speed is one thing , but he needs to have the hands that are needed to catch and hold onto the ball. We don't know how he is going to workout until he gets some playing time. Meanwhile, we have a secondary that is flat out terrible and we hear that the reason for that is a lack of leadership. That is BS and we all know that. They are not in position most of the time and they are definitely not aggressive enough with receivers. Bottom line is everyone is screaming for Perriman. To think that this one unproven player will save the day is just plain nuts. I see another Travis Taylor in the making with this guy. The team has to pull together and stop reading and believing the predictions. You cannot win football games on paper. You have to play smart error free football to win. Plain and simple. They show up, but they are not playing Raven football. A 7-9 season is not so unlikely any more as I see it.
  7. Get Ed reed and sign him as a Secondary Coach. He can't do any worse than what we have. Dean Pees and his bunch have lost control. Some changes are needed right now to turn things around. We need our D-Backs to be more aggressive. Obviously, they are to worried about getting flagged.
  8. The 6 worst teams in the NFL right now are Ravens, Dolphins, Redskins, Bears, Saints and 49'rs. It is hard to believe that we are in that group. Not the type of accomplishment that we were expecting. It appears that we are in for a lot of disappointment this season. We should see the benefit in APRIL though. Hopefully, we will pick the right players in the first 2 rounds. We blew it this year. I don't think that Perriman is going to meet expectations and I do hope that I will be wrong on that point.
  9. Babin on bench. why? we have an entire secondary that is never ready to play and they are on the field. Cannot understand HARBS anymore. It appears that he is handicapping the team more now than ever. We acquire talent and then he appears to be afraid to put them into the lineup. Aren't these guys pros? Put Perriman on the field. If he can't cut it then get rid of him. who else is going to sign a no-load who cannot prove his worth? It's crisis time now and Dean Pees should be on the field doing his job instead of sitting in the booth being a spectator. Who is really running this team? And Flacco, shut up and just play. We don't need to hear all of that "we need to play better" BS. Just do it. The CFL actually looks good to me right now. They play football. Not this sissified brand that the NFL is now shoving down our throats. In the Ravens case, we are seeing more yellow flags on the field than points lately. NFL officials are a freakin' joke and they are ruining the game.
  10. A J Green has to love our secondary. They make him look even better than he is when we play them. They know that he is the threat and yet they give him way to much room to make plays and he does time and again. I sure hope that Steve B gets tired of this crap and gives the order to replace some of the defensive coaches. I can think of two that need to go right now.
  11. As for Harbs looking totally pissed off, he should be. He isn't doing his job either. Quit accepting the BS that your staff is handing you. These guys are just as complacent as the players that don't play like a RAVEN. That list is getting way to big. Get the dead beats off of the bench an on to the street. Quit taking the other teams discards. If they can't cut it with the losing teams in the league, why should we think otherwise?
  12. Our secondary needs better coaching, better chemistry and most of all they have to cover the receivers. Where is their talent? Yesterday, WR's just blew right through them time and again. Until these guys begin to work in unison and play the ball they are going to be the Achilles heel of this team. We are looking at a disappointing season until this group can show some ability. I just can't see how anyone could say that the Ravens are a SB team before they even began the season.
  13. Just heard on SportsCenter that Perriman is a no-go today. The only thing that this guy runs for is the bench. Time to get a WR that is tough enough to play.,. This kid surely is not.
  14. I sure hope that the one hi-lite of this game is not the A-10 flyover. It's hard to envision the defense stopping the Bengals today when they could not stop the Raiders last week. The Offense is going to need to light it up big today if they are going to win. Unfortunately, this is the only game on local TV at 1:00 today.
  15. I can now understand why 25 other teams skipped on drafting Perriman. This kid is just a bust and yet another disappointment that will not measure up. It appears that it is quite easy to take the injury path with this team. Coaches buy into that crap and make excuses for these overpaid flops. RAVENS my butt. How can you "play like a Raven" when you are on the bench the majority of the time. Get ready for 0-3. Steelers up next on THU night. We know how that one will go. Not a rosy picture come Friday morning.
  16. Really, finally a sense of urgency. Bengals and Steelers next. A real rosy picture for sure. RAVENS need to show up now. last in the division is exactly where the team belongs right now. This is a team effort as I see it. Even the coaches are failing at their jobs. I think hat that Steve B is going to be making some changes when the season is over. He is not going to allow this team to sink to the level that it is playing to.
  17. have to say it now. if the Raiders were the worst team in the league before they beat us, then what that says about the current RAVENS team is clear to me. A lot of 0-2 supposed playoff teams this year that are not showing up on Sunday. Is it the talent pool shrinking or is it just overpaid complacent players not giving their all? I think the latter of the two is more accurate. Just hang on for 5 years and you get your NFL retirement. Not bad is it?
  18. C'mon Dean, your D stinks and that is the bottom line so far. Have lost 5 games in a row so far. (pre-season included). All of this Super Bowl talk every year is a freakin' sales pitch and you guys are pushing an inferior product. Just fix the problems with some talent that can deliver. Quit grabbing everyone' discarded has been players to fix our problems. I was in Buffalo on Sunday and had the opportunity to see the Bills. They played like Ravens.
  19. 2 things we need to see this weekend. A shutdown defense and some smart play calling that results in points going onto the scoreboard. Anything less is a disappointment. Do not want to see a statements like "we have to do better" in the news on Monday morning. Do the job that you get paid for like the rest of us have to do.
  20. Eisenberg, Are you kidding? The Ravens themselves are a losing team right now. They have not won a game since the first pre-season game. They better step it up in Oakland. They have the Bengals next week and we all know how that has been going for us lately. Then throw in the Steelers the week after. A bleak picture as I see it even if they win out in Oakland. The team needs to get healthy real fast and get those slackers off of the bench.
  21. RAVENS need to not take any team lightly, No one is afraid of this team anymore and it shows every weekend. Time to light it up. Strong arm QB, quick WR's and big TE's looks good on paper, but once on the field it produces doubts not TD's. Play like a Raven is a nice motto, but these guys need to play like pros. Is the coaching staff a bit to lenient? They are surely not aggressive in their game planning. What is the deal here? It's getting embarrassing to wear Ravens gear anywhere outside of the Baltimore area.
  22. What offense? Receivers, we have some? Are they sitting on the bench next to Perriman? It's time to actually "play like a Raven" people. The season has begun. Get it in gear. As for Tresstman and his game plan, where is it? SOS every year.
  23. Don't know about the rest of you , but I am sick of hearing and reading about Perriman not being able to play. This guy needs to man up and get his butt into the lineup and earn his pay. If he is the player that they say he is, then he needs to suit up and show us that he is no fluke. We always seem to have one of these players every year that sits on the bench because of some mystery injury. I bet that he can move around real well on a basketball court though.
  24. WR's and TE's must catch the ball. No excuses and they know it. After all, they are professionals and are supposed to be able to play at the NFL level. They all need to step up their games. Be aggressive and fight for the ball. PLAY LIKE A RAVEN is more than a motto. You have to do it.
  25. We don't need to panic. We have talent that can step up. As for Mike Preston being such a naysayer, he is a reporter and we all know they are full of themselves and opinions. Read his articles and take them at face value. Preston has always been quick to judge and his weekly report card grades are actually humorous to me. We have to take it one game at a time and allow the guys to meld as a unit. I am more concerned with the O-line then any other aspect of the team at this point. We should be looking for some help in that area of free agency Then again, that is just my opinion. I am sure that Ozzie and Eric are deep into that area already.
