  1. This team has come full circle . They have become the Browns that they once were. The 16th game of the season cannot come fast enough now. It is becoming embarrassing to wear Ravens Fan gear for many fans. Yes, we are all spoiled an disappointed to see our team fail week after week. Losing games by 2-3 points each week is getting to be the norm and we can see that the many penalties and dropped passes are the root of the problem. All I can see no is that the 49rs and the Ravens wee at the top 3 years ago. A Harbaugh was the coach of both teams and where are these teams now? Makes you wonder what these two guys are doing to cause these 2 teams to slide so fast. Jim is now back at the NCAA level and not doing so well at MICHIGAN is he? It's not all on the injuries either. Discipline and talent depth are key in our demise. That is on coaching.
  2. This team is the most undisciplined team to ever wear a Baltimore uniform. Seems that they have set that record too. Colts, Stars, Stallions and Ravens made us proud several times, but this team only lets you down each week. You happy Harbaugh? It's all your team now.
  3. Agree with Crusader. This team stinks to the high heavens. I am done watching these guys blow games every week. They are the worse team in the NFL bar none. They are setting new lows in the team record books. At least they should get a good drafting position.
  4. After watching the 1st quarter and seeing this sorry excuse for an officiating crew, I have to say that the NFL officials are a complete joke. We get the dumbest bunch of bums that have ever worn the stripes week after week. These guys are pathetic. How do they keep putting crews like this on the field week after week and get away with it league wide. The NFL is a freakin joke today. This ain't football. Vince McMahan(WWF) has to be running the league now. The fans need to really raise hell since they are paying the bill for this crap.
  5. Dennis has made tough but smart decision. He is doing what he needs to do with this injury and not what he wants to do at this point. If he can come back that would be great, but his life after football should be his primary concern right now.
  6. One more thing on Morgan. Once Flacco throws to him and he drops the ball, he won't be a target any more. we all know that Joe has a favorite and once the defense recognizes that player, the door gets shut and they struggle through the game. We cannot forget that the secondary is still the weak link on the team and nothing has been done to address that problem that can improve the coverage back there.
  7. Like they say, "seeing is believing". Can't get to worked up over this addition. Have to wonder why Morgan was still out there at this point. The Saints aren't doing anything either and I wonder why they let him go when they could use the talent for sure. Lately, I can't get to spun up over any new signing. These are Band-Aid fixes that have the look of desperation on them to me.
  8. My only thought right now is that Flacco needs to have that contract re-structured. Way to much money going into his wallet for the quality of play that he is providing. Nuff said about all else that is going wrong this season. Tired of beating that dead horse. Keep losing so that we can get that great draft choice that will miraculously turn us around for next season. Hopefully, Perriman will be healthy enough to play by then too. Please cut Webb. Nothing left in his tank for sure.
  9. The Scouting Dept. needs to get a lot better. Through the years many of our scouts have been lulled away from us and we have not been able to replace that talent so far. Until we do, we are going to see many bad selections being made at draft time. we blame coaches and players for the team failures this year. But, let's not forget that you have to be able to acquire the right players to fit your need and we are missing the boat in that area right now.
  10. Have to agree that our scouting is at the root of our problem. Phil savage stated the fact the other day and I have to agree. We have lost a lot of talent in the player scouting and development dept. over the past several years and we are now seeing that result. Blaming the coaches seems the most likely path to take, then the players. But, the core of the problem is right in the scouting area. we need to get a lot better at evaluating the players that we draft. Just look at the past few years and the number of busts that we have seen and you can see that. Naming them all would take up way to much room in this reply.
  11. Injuries have been a killer. The next man up theory is being tested. We can now see that many of these players do not possess the talent that they need to play at the NFL level. To me that is the biggest let down so far. You realize that injuries can wreak havoc on your overall ability to be competitive. If weekly practices and preparation are not the problem , then it has to fall on backup players ability. A few plays here and there and the team is winning. However, we are unable to capitalize on key plays and cause turnovers. That seems to be a major difference in the team this year. No matter what happens, the secondary is toast for the remainder of this season and will be exploited every game. They never seem to be in position to cover, let alone make an int. Without that capability, things are not going to change for the better.
  12. Got to agree with ZEUS. In the NFL "Success breeds desertion". We won't have to watch our coaching staff disintegrate at the end of this season though. Who would want any of them after this season? Flacco is trying to make things happen and that is going to continue to cause him to make costly mistakes.
  13. Harbaugh is making statements that every fan already is aware of. The team needs to improve in every area. They seem a bit lost once the game starts and players are not able to do what they should have been doing in practice all week. Harbs has all of the answers though week after week. He takes the heat and promises to make improvement. He can't with what he has on the field. Castoffs from losing teams that are picked up and thrown into the mix. Way to many injuries and a lackluster approach to game planning by himself and hs staff. No matter what is said, prior to the next game, it is the same thing every week now. Mistakes, missed assignments, int', penalties still appear throughout the games. The team is leaderless in the locker room and that is the fault of the head coach who has ran off everyone of the type A leaders that we have had on this team. He wants full control and he now has it. It is not surprising to me that not one player is willing to step up and be vocal in a leadership type of way. To do that will get you a ticket out of this town. It is his team now and he can take all of the heat for it's failure to win.
  14. Bottom line : the team is not ready to play RAVEN football each week now. Play calling is predictable and opponents already know what we are calling especially on running plays. Fans have a right to be ticked off . They back this team with ticket sales, gear sales and the like. The coaching staff is responsible for the game plan and having the team ready to play each week. They are not getting that job done are they?
  15. Another 3 hours wasted on a Sunday afternoon watching your team self destruct. Flacco, when are you going to learn that throwing the ball downfield in desperation only works against us. Take the loss or throw it out of bounds. Quit giving us all the canned PC remarks about getting better. It ain't happening and you too, are a big part of the problem now. Have to say that this year you are not worth the money that you are being paid. Right now a 7-9 season looks to be a stretch for this group. Winning 6 may be to tall an expectation.
  16. Always felt that letting RB Toussannt go was going to come back on us and it has. Yet another decision that now appears to be going against us. Seeing what is happening week after week with injuries piling up at a record pace is very disheartening. This is one year where nothing seems to go in our favor and that is the way it is going to be for the rest of this season. Hopefully, our draft position will be within the first 10 picks.
  17. True that the stupid penalties that we have seen are really making things harder for the team to gel. This is one thing that can really kill you in the long run an everyone knows that. Blaming coaches and even the player for the situation that we now must endure is not going to fix anything. This is ground that we have never been on before as I recall. So many injuries piling up week after week are killing any chance of continuity beginning to take hold. We are decimated with key players getting injured. That seems to be the root cause of our not getting the wins that we would normally be seeing come our way. This year those games are going the other way and we cannot accept that. Trades, signing all of these castoff players from the other teams is not going to fix anything and we will continue to see losses. What we need this year is not available to us. We can't hold onto leads and get those close victories like we did last year. Blaming Harbaugh, Ozzie and the rest may have some merit to a degree, but the bottom line is we don't have the talent to get us into the post season this year. Our depth at the key positions is not there. The cap plays a major part in this whole issue and this year it has caught up with us. Time is now what we need and good drafting position should be a major concern. We have bottomed out folks and that is a hard fact to accept.
  18. As long as the LB's and secondary are playing as they are we are doomed. Being out of position on just about every play is killing us. Don't know why this is not noticed and corrected. Could the talent of those on the field be the main factor? we can all jump on the coaches each week. We should be realizing that our secondary is mostly castoffs from around the league that need to learn to paly as a unit. That won't happen as long as they are getting hurt every game and leaving the field. Next man up only works if you have the ability to step in and make a difference. What we have on the bench is not able to do that this year. Harbs has to remain positive and show his trust and belief in his players. He really has no other options
  19. We are seeing some really off of the wall suggestions now. Trade Flacco. That is plain nuts. The reality is that we have been hit hard with injuries to the point that we have no depth at many positions, The next man up is getting hurt just as easily. Is it conditioning? Is it the fact that our backups really stink? It can't all be coaching that is for sure. We call for coaching changes, but they cannot correct the fact that we have so many guys claiming injury. Today players cry hurt way to fast as I see it. Some are truly injured, but the little aches and pains need to be managed better by the wimps that we have been picking up this season. They know who they are and they need to man up. As for the season, at this point it is over as far as post season is concerned. Just winning 8 games is going to be at tough task. I can almost see a 6-10 record right now. Don't like the thought, but I have to think realistically each week while seeing the team come apart in the second half. It is very hard to be optimistic anymore with what the team is encountering each week.
  20. Game preparation!! Really. Pees needs to be first out of town and then several others who call themselves defensive coaches should follow. The team is just not prepared to play at the level we have become accustomed to. If the Colts let Pagano go, then we should be on the phone to him in a NY minute.
  21. Harbs does seem to have some type of allegiance to the coaches and that is an admirable trait. But, at some point that will become his undoing if he does not make the required changes very soon. Remember how long it took him to replace Cameron. We all know who finally made that decision and it was not Harbs.
  22. I sure expected more from Jason Babin. Just one more has been layer that has found his way to B-More. Mediocrity has finally arrived at the Castle. The RAVENS are not even a middle of the road team now. You actually can see the defense crumbling as the game goes on each week now. As for the offense, 3 and out is a norm now and that is just not RAVENS football.
  23. Wow, the players are ticked off with their record thus far. Well that take the cake as I see it. The play so far has been proof that this year is over for the RAVENS. When you lose to the Raiders and the Browns you have to realize that you are now one of the worst teams in the NFL. You have to wonder what goes on during team practices. Seeing the secondary out of position time and again really shows the incompetence of the players and ultimately the coaching. The media berating those that are on the field week after week is getting old now. Anyone can see that the team is in disarray and at a loss for not having that killer instinct when it comes to securing lead in the last few minutes of the game. They just don't have the talent to do that this year. Al of these pick up players that we are getting are out there for a reason. They can't make it on the other 31 teams. We can see that they can't make it here either. Injuries are showing how bare the cupboard really is now and that frustrates this fan so much that I am not going to spend another 3 hours watching the team fail in the end. It is just to damned painful to watch this level of play from our team anymore. Write this year off and look to the next draft and just maybe we won't have to hear all of that media Super Bowl hype next summer. It seems that once we hear that crap, the team begins to believe it and just doesn't play like our RAVENS. It is time to clean house and rebuild. The front office needs to realize that now after seeing this sad effort. That goes for coaching changes too.
  24. Deonte Thompson may be available. At this point anybody that has good hands and a little speed should be looked at. These are some desperate times for the RAVENS.
  25. Not good news seeing our guys bite the dust each weekend. Seems that the team is snake bitten this year. Staying healthy is becoming less likely every week now. The guys that are not getting hurt are those who are already on the bench watching because they are hurt. We may set another team record this year with the number of injured players adding up almost daily now.
