In short, Coley is a quality athlete with plus ability on contested catches. He never seemed to fulfil the promise he showed as a freshman at Miami and part of that is certainly on him but the passing game was always erratic, there were other talented receivers who commanded targets and coaching changes didn't help either. Hoping he lands with the right team and surprises people like Allen Hurns did.

I'm with you. I did feel like he did a good job on the contested catches, especially since some were floated in there softer than expected at time. Ah, makes sense with regards to the receivers (And TEs with David Njoku in mind) and the coaching. I hope so as well.

Love the Stacy Coley pick by Oakland. I won't be surprised if he goes undrafted in real life but the talent is there for him to be a solid WR in the league.

Ah, that's great to hear. I was actually going to message you to get your thoughts because of how much you watch their program. What's your scouting report on Coley? I've read multiple reports about a supposed lack of passion, which were alarming. Skill set wise, I did feel that his route running wasn't as nuanced, but I did like that he'd consistently attempt to pluck the football, especially when adjusting to difficult attempts.

For final FFA, anyone opposed to signing 1 player every night or 8 hours or something starting tomorrow at 7pm? Probably not enough interest for anyone to sort through the list. People will just kind of  have to do their own research on who is available and who isn't.

    I'm all for it.

  5. The signings are in. I honestly wasn't aware of Arthur Maulet until yesterday when scouring through the highlights on the Patriots draft website. I ended up watching his game against Houston wherein he was credit for 4 PDs. I was only able to spot three of them (Link1, Link2, Link3), but I was very much impressed with what I saw considering there were also multiple incompletions thrown in his direction. With regards to the regular season, he was the most targeted CB in the entire country, but he only allowed 423 yards, an allowed QB rating 60.5 with the 4th least yards per target across all CBs. And his numbers were even better in the slot. PFF grades can be spotty if used as the sole means of projection from college to the pros considering that they're derived almost entirely from the bottom line, but in Maulet's case, it was a positive to see him place his 2015 campaign in the rear view mirror, where he was legitimately one of the worst graded CBs, to being their 3rd highest graded CB in the nation this year. I feel like he could be a draftable prospect, or at least a UDFA who could stick on the roster somewhere. Brown, on the other hand, was also highly productive, but his athletic limitations cap his ceiling. He'll likely settle in as an early down defender. Mizzell is an interesting prospect due to his ability in the open field and as a receiver. He's been somewhat dynamic over the years.

And now that Eastern festivities have concluded, here are my thoughts on my recent picks.

    1.  Dieugot Joseph - Needs to add a little bit of weight but the size and mobility is intriguing.  Needs a lot of technique work as well but should be a good PS project.

    2.  Noble Nwachukwu - Not much I liked out there at pass rusher, but Noble was my highest rated one left.  He's a bit of a tweener and has never really put up the sack numbers, but he can be a stand up rusher and also put his hand in the dirt.

    3.  Treston Decoud - I'm not as high on him as some as a CB, but I like him at S.  Don't think he has the athleticism to stick long term but I think there's enough there for him to project as a cover 2 S.  Worth a shot this late.

    4.  DeAngelo Yancey - The tape doesn't look great but there are tons of people saying that the offensive system limited him.  He's another one of those guys who is taking 848 visits so I figured he was worth a shot.

    5.  Darrell Daniels - Another all catchy, no blocky TE.  The athleticism is there but he's still raw, so another potential project piece.

    6.  Deyshawn Bond - If he had an extra 15 pounds, I think he'd be one of the better Cs in the draft.  He plays with power for a smaller guy, but also has great movement skills.  Of course, his frame looks close to maxed but undersized guys can still make it.

I was considering Yancey as well, if it helps.

In all honesty, I haven't watched much of Wilson.  I took him largely because he's visited 748 teams so far and I keep seeing "special teams standout" next to his name quite often.  Figured that's the type of guy that could make a play for the back of my roster.

Yep, yep. I noted that as well. Rock solid signing at this point and certainly someone who could fight for a final roster spot.

@-Truth- you nailed 3 of the players left on my board :gaah:

Christopher Carson has a brilliant record of never fumbling in his college career.

Corey Clement has talent and rojected in the 4th round range but has issues with coaches and injuries, boom or bust player.

Josh Harvey-Clemons is a big safety at 6'4 being compared to Chancellor, he just need to lay off the weed.

For what it's worth, I was also disappointed to lose out on Carson, especially since all of those selections were made on behalf of @Archeearl92, who I'm sure will appreciate the complements.

It also looks like Final Free Agency has fallen by the wayside with the complete lack of interest at the end of the game.  Only a few of us left so maybe we can implement the signing a guy for 0.5 every certain number of hours.  Just kind of have to do your own research as to what guys have been signed in their FA period and which ones are actually on the open market.

I was thinking the exact same thing. We've done that before and it worked out well. I'm going through my list of UDFA targets as we speak so the picks will be in an hour or so. I had six of @Archeearl92's selections, but unfortunately one of them didn't make it down, so I assume that he'll have to be online to pick his whenever he's up.
