  1. The schedule was created specifically to avoid Friday and Saturday end dates, so if you move one day around, then the whole thing can become messed up.

This. Also, this is just a personal note, but my this schedule fortunately works right around my schedule, as I'm unavailable on some nights due to work or class.

  2. Still looking to move Red Bryant, Zach Miller and Chris Clemons. Bryant was an elite run defender, fits either in the 4-3 or the 3-4, and at 4.5 Stars, doesn't break the bank. Miller, though underused, has returned to form since the 2012 Playoffs. And while Clemons experienced a slight slump, he finished the season on a strong note. PM me if interested. Looking to strengthen other positions or add a pick. I'm willing to involve my own picks or players, if needed be.

  3. My opinion is that the trade should be void, but only if none of the pieces involved have moved to another team. It wouldn't be fair to harm a 3rd team because of it. Then again, it also hurts the team receiving Rey when you void the trade because he didn't pursue another ILB because he thought he was set, so I'm torn.

None have been moved. The trade involved Wes Welker and a 4th (31) round selection. It's still with the team, I believe. I share your sentiment. We could ask to see if anyone was going to place a bid on Rey in the first place, and if not, let it pass.

  4. was it a case of we weren't allowed, or it just never happened? I can't remember a Rule outlawing trading a Rfa if he was tendered. I just don't think it's happen, and at this stage, I think it's probably to late to step in. This is coming from someone that was very interested in Rey

No, I vividly recall it being stated that RFAs could not be traded. I remember it because I was told this when I considered trading an RFA. Agreed on the latter. At this point, I'd just rather establish some clarity on the RFAs in general.

  5. Technically, Rey could have signed the offer sheet and not subjected himself to FA bidding at all. It's assuming, but it is possible to trade an RFA so long as they signed their offer sheet.

True. But our rules have always prohibited RFA trading, to my knowledge. That being said, we have to either change this rule, or adhere to it.

  6. same as tagging and trading using the franchise tag. Vincent Rey was tendered and then traded to Denver along with other picks and players

Yes, but we have never allowed trading RFAs in the past. Players with the FT have been traded since the first year, and we haven't agreed to anything else since, if I'm not mistaken. In any case, moving an RFA before anyone is even allowed to bid takes the opportunity away from other GMs unfairly. We need to decide on how to handle this. Do we add Rey to the RFA list and then reverse the trade, if possible, if a bid is placed on Rey? Do we just let it be at this point?

  7. Yea I'll update/fix all my stuff tomorrow afternoon.. Gotta be up in a few hours.. Been up for 28 or so hours

As I said in PM... figured something would be said about trade... I'm happy with it mainly for what you mentioned and what we talked about

Not something I'd do in real life considering long term situations but for goals in this game it made sense

Jesus Christ. Hope you get some sleep in the downtime. Exactly right. Nailed it in the last part.

  8. He just PM'd me stating that he'll change the tag tomorrow. To be honest, I wasn't completely certain on how the rules worked when the dead money was higher than the cap hit, and that falls squarely on my shoulders. But either way, I thought it was a fair trade. Bowie played 8 games at OT compared to Davis' 19. Davis graded out as the 28th best OT, and Bowie was the 34th. Along with that, he received a rock solid back up RB in Robert Turbin, a position of need considering that he traded away Kendall Hunter and is looking to ship away Frank Gore. He also received Jermaine Kearse, who was coming into his own down the stretch and carving out a spot as a number 3 WR, and he received a mid-rounder in the process.

  9. Wasn't Anthony Davis like a top 5 RT...

He graded out as the best RT in 2012. Davis did take a slight step back in 2013, but he still finished in the Top 10 at his position. I did have to let loose of a few young pieces with upside. For what it's worth, Michael Bowie was the highest graded OL for Seattle last season. That being said, I'm happy to have fortified my OL this early. At the least, the right side of Mike Pouncey and Anthony Davis should be a significant upgrade over J.R. Sweezy and Breno Giacomini. Marshawn Lynch may not have to break 97 tackles in the running game this season for the rushing attack to be successful lol

  10. Official Trade:

Seattle - 5th (148) round selection (.5 Stars), Robert Turbin (RB) (.5 Stars), Jermaine Kearse (WR) (.5 Stars), Gregg Scruggs (DE) (.5 Stars), Michael Bowie (OT) (.5 Stars)

San Francisco - Anthony Davis (OT) (2 Stars)

  11. Brown broke his ankle in 2012, he was fine this year. Not a big deal. He's a young and talented receiver.

Obviously I agree, since I made the trade. I like Kerrigan a lot. And him being a first rounder living up to expectations was one of my arguments when he was inquired about. But the Redskins have a lot of holes, and garnering an early selection, a late rounder and a talented receiver can fill the team with some depth, gives me an opportunity to make it overall stronger imo. Good trade for both sides imo. So thanks for a little support atleast. lol.

No problem. You traded away a singular piece to gain several, and like you've stated, the team has more than one need to fill.

  12. Really?

I love Kerrigan. But a 2nd rounder, 6th and a young talented receiver. Pretty good deal for both sides imo

I actually think it was a solid deal for both teams. Kerrigan is certainly a talented pass rusher, but I've seen him get washed out in the running game. He has a tendency of losing the ball carrier at the LOS in attempt to penetrate the backfield. Brian Orakpo being retained gave Washington the flexibility to move him, and they did so for an early selection, a later one, and a WR who showed quality potential before a disappointing 2012 campaign. Meanwhile, San Diego finally gets a quality edge rusher capable of staying on the field.
