  1. Bradley Beal looks to be a legit scoring threat.
  2. He did return sooner than anticipated. The unfortunate part of the situation with Roy was that he had to have his meniscus shaved down. The issue was degenerative, and after several years in the NBA, he lacked the cartilage in his knees. It was such a shame since Roy was one of my favorite players.
  3. For the sake of his career, I'm glad that Derrick Rose's surgery will shelve him for the rest of the season. Because had they been unable to repair his meniscus, they would've had to shave it down. He would've been able to return within two weeks, but it would've meant risking bone on bone contact. The same thing that happened to Brandon Roy.
  4. It's his other knee, if I'm not mistaken.
  5. It's way too awkward to see in #22. I'm waiting for him to retire after this season so that I can buy his jersey again. I'll just pretend that this season didn't happen. Wipe the memory clean.
  6. Perhaps there was a misunderstanding. I was saying that he was underrated several years ago when I began following him, which was in the '10-'11 season, if I remember correctly. He certainly isn't underrated now. Agreed on his potential and the general consensus regarding where he stands. Agreed on Kanter and Sullinger. The concerns with Sullinger's back could follow him throughout his career, so I hope for his sake that his issues with work ethic don't resurface.
  7. As unsurprising as it is, given that he was among my favorite underrated players since a few years ago, Paul George's mid-range jumper looked nearly unstoppable last night. The kid is scary. Also happy to see Enes Kanter and Jared Sullinger playing well.
  8. I liked Jordan Mills as a prospect, so I'm not overly surprised, but it doesn't look promising for Webb.
  9. That makes two of us, especially since I'm slightly drawn towards pairing a speed RB with a power back.
  10. I can always appreciate the value of a deep backfield. Awesome. Thank you very much.
  11. By the way, everyone who has signed up for the continuation but hasn't signed up for the new board, please do so as soon as possible so that we can get the ball rolling.
  12. Love the Andre Brown selection as well. Terrific complementary back.
  13. I love the Jed Collins pick. One of the more underrated FBs, in my opinion.
  14. Thank you. It won't erase the questions at QB, but it will quell them to a degree. I'm glad that you think that about Moore as well.
  15. The pick is in. Matt Moore should make for a solid option behind Jake Locker. Moore's 2011 campaign was among the more underrated performances of that season. He finished with the 2nd highest percentage of passing yards before the catch with 66.5%, as well as the 9th best yardage and 9th highest completion percentage on deep throws, despite the 3rd most drops on such attempts. He also looked just as solid when he did see the field in 2012, with 76.3% before the catch and again the 9th best accuracy on deep throws. It helps that he fared rather well in the Preseason game, if that means anything. Personally, I believe that Moore still has the capability to be a dependable starter. Should Locker struggle with injuries or his play on the field, I wouldn't be uncomfortable with Moore as my signal caller with the pieces that I have offensively.
  16. I don't recall Eli being significantly inconsistent when watching the Giants this year. That's coming from somebody who's despised him throughout the majority of his career.
  17. I'll do it. Let me just check something out real quick.
  18. Not sure how the Geno Smith selection can be seen as controversial. Solid pick at this point, regardless of the QB situation. I like the pick of Da'Rick Rogers as well. He's been generating buzz in the Offseason. His talent has never been in question, so while there's some risk with his behavioral problems, there's obviously a ton of upside as well.
  19. Thank you. In all honesty, at this point, I'm gauging which players are more likely to be available after this round and acting accordingly. There is a sense of forward thinking with this process, and the remaining crop isn't going to retire after we're finished, so I'm going to do a little projecting for my own sake.
  20. Could not agree more. I recall seeing some skepticism when I mentioned that this would happen in the beginning of this process. Not from you, obviously. I'm not the least bit surprised by the amount of starting talent still on the board.
  21. No problem. If it helps, Barnes only started 4 games in his two seasons at San Diego. He was very good in that span, amassing 4 sacks, 4 QB hits and 8 pressures, with 13 run stops and 3 missed tackles.
  22. I forgot all about Brett Keisel. Solid pick, especially at this point.
  23. It's a weird feeling to wonder why somebody's tail pipe is smoking and then realizing that it's coming from under your hood. The engine overheated so I had to make an unscheduled pit stop. Anyways, the pick is in. It was a difficult decision between several candidates, but Phillips Adams displayed too much upside last season to be looked over. A player who's very physical at the LOS, with an ability locate the ball and attack the pigskin in 50-50 situations, a skill he developed while playing basketball in High School, Adams has the makings of a solid CB. He plays with good awareness of his responsibilities and was arguably Oakland's best CB last season. He hasn't been tested much, but also hasn't given up a QB rating higher than 53.9 in two seasons. Turning 25 this summer, his best ball is likely ahead of him, as long as he can remain healthy. He'll be able to step right in and man the Nickle duties.
  24. I'll be back in about an hour. My pick will be in then.
  25. Great pick in Barnes. I've been considering selecting him. His role was reduced last season, but he was still productive during that time. And at 28, he should still have a few years left in the tank.
