The Saints had Brandin Cooks, Willie Snead and Coby Fleener and still drafted Michael Thomas... who became the #1.

We're not getting 2 FA WR's AND keeping Wallace. It's maybe one FA WR and Wallace, or cut Wallace to get one high end FA WR.... not much more imo. And even if we did sign 2 FA WRs and keep Wallace - it would be on Perriman to win the job. Plain and simple.

Hes got all the tools. No one can push him down the depth chart except himself allowing himself to be pushed down.

You have to admit though...I highly doubt if WE drafted Michael Thomas Joe would have had the rapport Michael did with Brees.  Not even remotely close.

Can Joe and Michael give you +1100 yards and 9 TD on Michael's 1st year?  Nah....almost impossible

But can Joe get 1000 yard and 9 TD with another Steve Smith or Gorcon on their 1st year?   I would say yes its possible

There is absolutely nothing attractive about him other than his undeserved paycheck.   To me he looks like bart simpsons nothing more to be said.  Brady is handsome, Flacco is not!  Just average Joe.

    Jealousy is not attractive either.

    Jealous of his paycheck. Sure.

But looks? Nah...I rather keep my brow. Joe can keep his unibrow any time he wants

I don't think domes actually help kickers all that much. Without any winds, it's literally your leg and your leg only. It's not the huge advantage that Denver is. And you have to consider, he was first team All-Decade for two decades, holds an NFL record for points scored, led two franchises in points (you should check out the Saints record prior to his arrival; he was a huge weapon for them), and often led the league in touchbacks when kicks were on the 30. 6 time first team All-Pro and 7 time Pro-Bowl kicker. I don't think you'll find too many guys with that type of legacy at a fairly volatile position. I think realistically, Tucker and Bailey are two guys currently or recently in the NFL that could make it. Vinateri maybe with those clutch playoff kicks and even Bailey is one I'm a little shaky one because you never really think of him as "the best." I don't think Anderson is a bad pick at all, honestly.

I don't think Jamal has the same case as Davis. Davis was the most dominant running back of the 90's behind only Barry Sanders. And the thing is, Davis got better in every single year he played, so one truly has to wonder what the rest of his career would look like and you have to think that's what the committee looked at. Had his career not been injury marred, could we have been talking about one of the best ever? He's a huge reason Elway even won a ring. I wouldn't have a huge issue with Jamal, but outside of his 2003 season, he was great, but not best in the league type material to me. I think it hurts Lewis that he had some very mediocre years after the 2,000 yard season.

I think Dawkins will get his due eventually, but it'll be very hard next year with Ronde Barber being up for induction.

If Dawkins gets in, Jamal should also.

Personally I always thought Jamal was a much better player than Bus.   But i guess that would make me bias

  4. I dont think you can put Maxx William in the same field as Timmy Jernigan.

Timmy has been at the very least has starter material capability.  Every once in a while he is unstoppable.   Timmy has worked through pain and know how to keep himself on field.

Maxx has been a solid disappointment.  He never built a time to build his frame and had the work ethic to get better @offseason.   One small nick of ding on his thigh and he is gone for the whole season.   He is going to the wrong end of the his career.

I beg your pardon but I didn't promise you a rose garden. I was simply correcting your inaccurate post. You said that Matty Ice Cream and his offense put them up by 25 and the defense collapsed. Its elementary, my dear Watson! That's not what happened. The Atlanta defense created two turnovers and scored a TD on a pic six.

Unlike Mattie Ice Cream, Joe Flacco was the MVP of a SB. If you are having Mattie envy, consider this. Which would you rather be --- a league MVP or a SB MVP/ To me, its a no brainer. That being said, while Joe was deservedly the SB MVP, I could just as easily awarded it to Anquan Boldin or Jacoby Jones.

You could argue Jacoby Jones should have gotten MVP as well.  He got a +40 pass then juked 2 DBs to get in the endzone.   He also trashed ST from start to finish to the endzone.

Matt Ryan was the best QB in the NFL and perhaps the best player this year.   There is really no arguing about that.   One mistake by either freeman/him costed the game to shift the momentum of the game.   Soon as Hightower swiped Ryans hand, I got a deja vu of what Troy Polamalu did with Flacco @ playoffs that costed us the road to SB.

Links? Haven't heard this? Trust there to be a scandal when the pats are involved.

I dont have the links, and im too lazy to find a film online.  If there is a film ready somewhere ill find it to prove myself.   But Matt went to the sidelines and kept screaming "it broke, its broken" then he waits for an answer on what is happening, with no answer from rest of the staff.

  7. Anyone found it weird that Matt Ryan's helmet radio signal broke @ 3rd and 4th quarter?

Mike Tomlin accused Patriots doing the same thing with them @ AFCC

Just a wild speculation but i was wondering if anyone caught Matt using timeout to complain about that.

A game changer would help and I would bet my money if Dalvin Cook is there at 16 he's our pick. Too good to pass up. I'm really jealous of that dang Brown/Bell duo.

Loved Dalvin @ Florida.   He is also a good kid and shouldn't have much bearing on 'attitude' issue that our FO/harb seem to care way too much about.

I can't believe they couldn't get a FG and some of his decisions were mindboggling (how do you take a sack there?) but oh yea, this was a team effort from the Coaches booth to the field.   I might even blame the guy who has to keep track of the jockstraps .. but he has it bad enough.

    leave the jockstraps guy alone...

How to solve the Patriots problem: Swap the Jets and Giants. Put the Giants in the AFC East and move the Jets to the NFC East.

I wonder how many AFCC and 1 round byes Ravens would have been in if we had Jets/Miami/Bills.....*sigh*

  11. i think another element no one really talk about is momentum.  some teams just simply do not have it in them to swing it back as soon as things rear its ugly head.

Falcons always seems like a team that, as soon as you sniff something is going down they choke.

Im just glad I am a ravens fan.  Something similar happened to us vs 49ers.  In the closest of game of inches we were on top.  Winners know how to win.

Falcons were tested and they lost.  Falcons were destined to lose.

I hate to say it, but I think that cements Brady as the GOAT. First to five SBs and the mother of all comebacks.

I'm about to go looking for local caves to live in so I can avoid the internet and all things even vaguely NFL media-related being that the commentators and fans are going to be unbearable for the rest of time, but they're right.

Until september, you can enjoy patriot fans gloat how amazing they are for another blissful 6 more month.
