  1. Steeler fans having a bad week. They wanted Weddle bad and many liked the idea of getting Wallace & Ben back together after losing Bryant for the year. Awesome!

Welcome to Bmore. Stretch the field, make some plays and get some PI calls.

    Smith-Aiken-Wallace-Perriman-Camp

Still skeptical of our core and hope we're not done yet.

  2. Not very confident in our group at this time.

Steve Smith - I have no doubt he'll come back strong but, he's still going to be 37 and coming off a major injury. Last year he set the bar extremely high. How much can we reasonably expect from him and do we really want to run him into the dirt?

Perriman - Look, he was questionable even when we drafted him. Had legitimate concerns he hasn't had a chance to address yet. I want to remain optimistic but to act like we can rely on him is foolish. I'm hoping for the best but he hasn't proven anything yet. His injury was more sketchy than his hands were in college. I'm hoping he can contribute a large part but I'm dubious until proven otherwise. He's also coming off that major injury so it wouldn't be wise to assume he's ready or the same.

Aiken - Will likely be our #2. Would make a great #3, but a lethal #4. Impressed by his play from last season. Don't feel good about heavily relying on him though.

Camp - He would be great if he can ever see the field.

So as of now, horrible-shaky depth. If it wasn't for our amazing TE core, I would be worried about the passing game.

Adding Mike Wallace for cheap would be nice. Gives us the speed threat we desperately missed last season. Givens was meh but coming in during the season and having zero chemistry/familiarity in the offense is hard for any player to succeed.

At the very least, Wallace brings the speed factor outside and gives us depth/competition beside Perriman.

I know it's no longer popular and I used to despise the idea myself, but if certain players are gone when we pick, I'd strongly advocate for Treadwell.

Smith-Treadwell-Aiken-Perriman would be dirty. Would give Joe a legit playmaker outside with a very high ceiling & Trestman the offense he'd prefer to run. Would take a lot of much needed pressure off of Smith and let him work the inside. The energy they would bring would make defenses actually fear us. I believe Smith is the perfect 1-year mentor for Treadwell as well. Pressure would also significantly drop for Perriman, (who I believe desperatly needs it) He would have someone similar to work & grow with for at least the next 3-4 years. Aiken would thrive in 1 on 1 matchups when Joe spreads em out. (Also possible that he's likely gone along with Smith next year...The constant turnover is detrimental and rather annoying. Let Joe have someone he can build chemistry with again!)

Our highly skilled & paid QB would finally be given the keys, and I think he's more than ready. Having Tread & Perriman would guarantee Joe having familiarity/chemistry + promising talent for at least the next 3-4 years during his prime. Traits a lot of successful offenses highly value. Treadwell could be his younger, higher ceiling Derrick Mason. (Also brings value to the run game as an adequate blocker)

Imagine how many ways we'd be able to attack at every level with our passing game featuring:

WR: Tread, Smith, Perriman, Aiken, Camp? (Wallace too????)

TE: Gilmore,Watson,Maxx (eventually Boyle, maybe Waller)

    Juice, Buck and Forsett.

Defenses would legitimately fear us. Joe wouldn't have to labor nearly as hard for once. The offense will be energized.

    It would be glorious.

  3. Nice to see him get respect. Top tier coach since he's been here and that's not really debatable. Extremely fortunate to have him. Last season, even though his worst record wise, was among his best IMO.

Looking back, he started with no HC experience, rookie QB, coached plenty of stars with big personalities, toughest division, always had us in most games and remained a consistent winner. Many great coaches love to come to here and learn under him. The flaws people complain about, holding coaches too long, doghouse, physicals --- overblown....However his injury reports do sort of piss me off haha

Proud to be among those who have never called for his or Joes head. :)

Jack and Ramsey are the only two players in this draft I see as the next (insert HoFer). Jack is the next Troy Polamalu for sure. Ramsey I don't know who to insert there maybe idk Sean Taylor

Totally agree. If there was a way to trade our entire draft for these two, I'd gladly do it. I expect them to have Earl Thomas/Bobby Wagner impacts. Would trade up from 6 for Ramsey.... But Jack at 6 would be lovely.

  5. If Jack makes it past Dallas & Jax, which I don't expect, I hope we pounce.

I would be surprised to see Cleveland take anything other than QB. Would break my heart if they go Ramsey. They'll also likely turn Ramsey into a bust. The universe might rip if they don't draft a QB and they don't bust. I like Hue, and maybe he changes Browns culture, but I doubt it.

Also think Ramsey will be either a Cowboy or Jag. Both defenses could use both Ramsey or Jack.

  6. If Ramsey, Jack or Bosa is gone, I'm really hoping for Treadwell. Officially give Joe the freaking keys! Smith only has a year left and Perriman looks like a huge question mark at this point. I have no doubt Smith will come back strong but he is kind of up there & coming off a serious injury. I'm not comfortable with our wide-receiving core at all right now. Best case for the future is Tread & Perriman growing together and giving Joe two young dynamic receivers outside. Something I'm dying to see. A year with Smith should rub off on Treadwell nicely. I'm sure Trestman & Joe are hoping for this as well.

Get a DB/Edge later. Still don't like VH3 at 6. Even if many do believe he has Haden potential. Wouldn't be upset with Buckner or Spence. Do not want Stanley but if we lose K.O. I guess we kinda have to.

Treadwell is worth it to me.

Well, you just named 6 players and we pick at 6, so I think one will be. Lol. I'd rather not take Treadwell at #6, though.

Do not want Stanley or anyone else @ 6!

I've really come around on Treadwell. Used to hate the idea but I've completely flipped. Watched more of him and think he would fit perfect here. Allow Smith to work the slot when (hopefully) Perriman comes back. Aiken as our #4 would be awesome.

I don't see a major flaw in his game. High ceiling, perfect WR for Joe to hopefully play the rest of his career with.
