      How does it not make sense? I don't understand people on here. Clearly, they are planning for the future. He was signed for next year as well so he will be the backup and is a good backup who can win games. Harbaugh is only saying Schaub might start but it is just to keep the chiefs thinking, I guarantee you once mallett has a week of practice he will start against the steelers.       Mallet has issues. Like, he can't work an alarm clock. His general entitlement attitude. Plus his talent level is not enough to even begin to cause one to overlook those issues. I understand the contract is incentive heavy, however, this man has the potential to be a locker room cancer and we just gave him a contract into 2016. That's like trying to carry over this nightmare of a season.
