  1. A lot of people who went to early screenings said it was basically a poor Bourne Identity knockoff. Not sure if I'd pay the money I'd have to to go see that.

Not to sound sexist again, lol, but I hate movies where girls are kicking [profanity deleted]. Not my thing

  2. Welcome to January. It's very rare anything decent comes out in this month. Usually the only things I see this time of year are all the limited release Oscar contender movies that are just know making it out here. Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close comes out this coming weekend and 2 weeks after that we get The Descendants. I'm hoping Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy and The Artist make it here soon.

Yea, I've seen The Descendants already. Pretty good movie. I probably won't see Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close unless I'm invited and someone pays for my ticket lol. I'm starting to warm up to The Woman in Black. Pretty good cast.

  3. You need to stop spending so much time at the theater.

What you need is a good dvd player and Netflix disc account. Catch up on some of the things you missed.

There's a lot of old movies I'd like to see but can't because most of the rental stores around here are out of business. I just got a job so I'm thinking about Netflix and Gamefly or whatever it's called

  4. There's not really a lot of good looking movies coming out soon in my opinion. I'll see The Grey and Safe House just because Denzel is in it, and maybe The Woman in Black of it gets good reviews. Act of Valor looks promising as well, but besides those few, not really feeling the upcoming releases within the next few months.

  5. You should know better than to argue with Romo Raven over what's objectively good

You always know what to say too cheer me up :)

Am I the only person in here who hasn't watched Fight Club yet

    I've never seen it!

    Gonna watch "The Town" today.

Blake Lively is incredible in that movie. Not so much her acting, but everything else.

  6. Anyone planning to see or has seen "The Darkest Hour"? It looked pretty lame to me, but was curious what others thought.

My parents saw it yesterday. They said it wasn't bad but it wasn't great either... I'd probably wait for it to come out on DVD (I skipped because I think it looks stupid).

  7. Yea just watched it the other night. It wasn't that bad, but it wasn't that good either. A lot of star power. The only thing I took from that movie is where do I find a boss like Aniston? My boss is a bald dorkie who only shop at Costco's and sings in the church choir.

Charlie Day's voice is like nails on a chalkboard. I just couldn't stand it. Aniston is amazing in it though. Saw Hall Pass last night as well and hated it

  8. I agree. The original Swedish Film was very good. Noomi Rapace was phenomenal. Not sure why there needs to be an American Remake (even though Fincher says its not) when the original was only 2 years old.

Seriously, does Hollywood even know how to be creative on its own anymore? Remakes, Reboots and Sequels seem to be the majority of blockbusters nowadays.

Not surprised they remade this film so fast because of the proven track record the original film had. Hollywood did the same thing with "Let the Right One In"

Okay, I'm getting off my hipster movie podium now.

Never seen the Swedish film, lol. But I agree :)

  9. So you don't like Downey Jr or Law but you like Tom Cruise? the man has no soul.

I've always been a fan of the series since it started.. Law's accent get's on my nerves and I've never really liked Downy Jr. I didn't even like Iron Man to be honest. Not saying I'm a huge fan of Tom Cruise, but you know what I mean.
